Not sure what upsets you here, is there a problem in 1500 "others" reading posts and probably learning from them ? Maybe they are too scared to ask for or offer advice...can't think why. > I'm not trying to stop you learning or teaching. What I am saying is that > most list members only take & never give. For most of us its a one way > transaction with little return. Just why should I teach people who never > ever give anything in return - I refer to the silent 1500 (or more) When I ask a really dumb question I'm sure lots of folk go "not again", but some kind soul takes the time to answer, (its usually Michael Wilkinson and for the last time, no I don't take Luncheon Vouchers anymore). I personally always say thanks on list and write to the indivdual off list to say thanks for your time. Not sure how else I can show my gratitude ? > imaging and how they can change their ideas to better fit the market. No > offer of even a free lunch in return for commercially valuable information So its lunch you are after ? 8-) > I would advocate a registration system that would at the very least hold a > bio of each member in order that you knew who you were talking to (if you > wanted to look them up) plus a declaration from each member that their > income derived from professional imaging. Whether or not that would improve > the list topics is unknown but it would create a group conversing as equals. I have too agree with you here, it would be very helpful to be able to know one another a little better. Cutting out those that do not reach "our" high standards might make this list a little too precious for some though. callan =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
