I have the English 2100 version (identical to 2200) and had the exact same problem when I upgraded from 10.2.8 to 10.3.6. I tried all the suggestions on the list plus reformatting hard disk and un-installing Gimp drivers to no avail. In desperation went back to 10.2.8 and now printer works fine. My workstation is B & W G3 with 1Gb ram. Funny thing is, my G4 laptop with 10.3.6 prints fine on it using Firewire!
