  Thank you, Your idea is very good, It's an type of unequal constraint joints. 
In fact, current code framework is open for more extensions of joints, I'll 
write documents of how to use and how to write further extensions or patches 
soon. of course, This joint can be implemented by any of us. The current 
project is just a rudiment (even coding and debugging are not all finished 
yet), I hope you can work with us to make it better, Thank you again.

Specifically, I'm thinking of joint restrictions on rotation, as an example

is implemented it will be very easy to make ragdolls, springs, etc.
