I'm lucky to live in San Diego, for sure. Winter rides start usually in the 40s and low 70s by mid-day, and the cool fog and chill of the coast yields to either the crisp or very warm mountains 50 miles from the ocean. Believe it or not, usually rain in the early brevets. Its not Florida. The Pacific is a cold ocean.
For me, in SD, LA, or SF, its ibex knickers, woolistic, and a Swrve windbreaker. Your mileage may indeed vary.
