Uh, not to push everyone back on topic or anything, but as the original
poster of the "Need PLIP info" thread I feel I must point out that little
to no information about PLIP has been mentioned. What little that has been
mentioned seems to be taken straight from the HOWTO, which isn't of much help.
I would be interested in talking with someone who has actually accomplished
a PLIP link between a laptop and a desktop machine with an ethernet
connection. Most of the responses I have received seemed as though the
person thought they knew what they were talking about but hadn't actually
tried their own advice (i.e. it didn't work)
