That's exactly what we are referring to when we say "pastiches".
What did you think we were meaning?



It would seem to me, as i understand the word, that "pastiche"  would refer to taking sections of howards writing and pasting and changing bits of it into ones own writings, as decamp did by converting and elaborating stories to full conan stories rather than just creating new stories set in howards world.  It seems to me that there are two sorts here.  The reworking of stories into publishable form as conan stories (what i see as pastiche) and the writing of new conan stories, tabula rasa, set in howards world.
