As someone who has cobbled together my own ugly-but-stable task management using Remind, Perl, and big ass text files, I can see the utility in adding TODOs to Remind.
Why no recurrences for TODOs? That's my primary use case for Remind, to generate recurring tasks, e.g. REM Fri MSG Take out the trash.
