Ah, "that which may not be spoken of in case Apple's lawyers are looking". There are ways around Apple's DRM, such that you can play protected iTunes store files on your SqueezeBox, but I'm too nervous to post the link! Google is your friend. I rip everything to ALAC in iTunes and then have SqueezeCenter set to "use iTunes"; I've set SC to rescan everything overnight. Job done - any changes I make in Itunes are ready on my SB3s when I wake up! Also, as everything's stored as ALAC, like Eric I convert everything to 256k VBR AAC for my iPod.
