> all my wav files are individually tagged with artist Well I've just done that, used EAC ripped a album as WAV, then with Tag & Rename used to retrieve CD info, that's worked but when I load up Media Monkey and browse to the directory listing is all gibberish. In foobar displays just file info. So looks like non standard way of doing it. You still need the .cue file in each album directory with CD info. Flac files store all the info needed in the file itself, no need to faff around with cue files.
I can't see any reason why you would use WAV, unless something on your LAN doesn't play flac (older imerge sound server or similar) Even if you have the HD space, as I do as well. Everything I have can play WAV and flac also (PC's, SB, iriver H140) just with flac it's easier. A CI had a album saved as WAV but he couldn't figure why it wasen't saving that to CD, when read back after burning it just read as unknown artist, album and track info. -- badbob ------------------------------------------------------------------------ badbob's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=7358 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=57706 _______________________________________________ ripping mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/ripping
