Well I've just done that, used EAC ripped a album as WAV, then with Tag
& Rename used to retrieve CD info, that's worked but when I load up
Media Monkey and browse to the directory listing is all gibberish. In
foobar displays just file info. So looks like non standard way of doing
it. You still need the .cue file in each album directory with CD info.
Flac files store all the info needed in the file itself, no need to
faff around with cue files.

I can't see any reason why you would use WAV, unless something on your
LAN doesn't play flac (older imerge sound server or similar) Even if
you have the HD space, as I do as well. Everything I have can play WAV
and flac also (PC's, SB, iriver H140) just with flac it's easier. A CI
had a album saved as WAV but he couldn't figure why it wasen't saving
that to CD, when read back after burning it just read as unknown
artist, album and track info.
