i agree that playing .wav using another software program (mediamonkey, jriver, foobar...etc) causes issues with the tag info, and if you're running a computer in your stereo setup that uses one of these programs to play music, then .wav might not be the best option. but i don't use any of those programs. all i use is a squeezebox connected to a dac in my main stereo. the tagging mechanism i have now works fine for me.
