I used to store all music in one folder of \Artist\Album, but needed to split 
it up into chunks, for storage reasons and ease of use when applying large tag 
changes.

So I split into sub-groups.  Not strictly by genre, but general classification. 
 So I have "Rock" for rock, pop, indie, alternative, etc, and "Electronica" for 
chillout, down-tempo.

I decide on a general genre for each artist, to keep all artists albums under 
one folder, so all Mike Oldfield albums appear under "\Progressive Rock\Mike 
Oldfield", whereas some of the albums I've tagged with "New Age", etc.
