Don't say sorry! Thanks for the bump, as I had totally missed about half this thread, since I was doing some other things about the time of most of this discussion. Its good to see all the interest in an English version. I think it would be an incredibly worthwhile project. If folks want to do a freely licensed English translation, I am definitely interested. As mentioned, I'd like to lead an effort to get the French version to convert properly to Sage worksheets. It might not take too much more effort for me to help with the technical details of producing a similar English version. But my French is definitely "un peu." Though I might be talked into writing some group theory in English. I am at the US Math Meetings this week, then Univ of Washington the next week, but maybe after all that settles down, I'll take this up.
