RE: [Chevelle-List] Gas prices
Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List I'm over on the east side of Cleveland (Lyndhurst) and I saw nothing above 1.75 for regular. That's a little high, but nothing like the 3-4$5gallon prices mentioned. -Dave, [EMAIL PROTECTED] filled up early in the afternoon. $1.64 for fear of a hike. Later in the evening the gas station lines were long and the supermarkets busy in NE Ohio. Cleveland mayor said no price gouging..Cleveland police are checking prices to stop any hikes. Walt we had cars from the eastside coming here in Parma to buy gas at $1.69 because of $3-4 prices in Northfield. Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List I agree that we need to take our time be certain of who the offenders are AND who helped supported them. THEN we need to go in remove them from the face of the Earth! However I don't agree with the disparaging remarks about President Bush. I believe he is doing a good job, he is an honorable honest man I don't believe for a minute that he is scared. Regardless, he IS the President at this critical time he our country need our unity, understanding total support. My 2 cents, Don guys, guys, dont get your panties in a bunch.if we do what we sould do-wipe them off the f_cking map, we need to know who is responsible- without a doubt!!! because there will be a lot of innocent lifes taken in our wrath. but so be it... i am not protecting pussy faced Bush in any means, but in something like this we need to be sure who the cowards are. -Original Message- From: BRIAN [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, September 12, 2001 3:56 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Yeah and who is the great leader, it can't be Bush he hasn't done anything yet! [Chevelle-List] Venting
To all, I will apologize in advance for my rantings. Under normal circumstances, a diplomatic approach to international problems would be preferable to military action. But, these arenot a normal circumstances and is most definitely no ordinary events. The rules have changed and the time has come for the people of this great country to demand a response. Congress must step up to the plate declare a formal state of war on any and all that allow, encourage and perform such despicable acts. We, the American people need to be assured that these events will not go unanswered. We need to let the rest of the world know that we can not and will not allow any entity to attack our citizens or our military ever again. We must put the terrorist communities around the world on alert that they have pissed off the wrong country. I heard talk on the news channels yesterday about declarations of war with references to Vietnam, Korea, Desert Storm, etc. along with the fact that a declaration of war has notbeen made since the attack on Pearl Harbor. Wake up people, that was then. Uncounted Americans are dead,American property has been destroyed and the sanctity of our freedom and very way of life is being challenged like never before. These attacks happened on American soil. Usama Bin Laden issues statements that he did not do this. Muslim extremists and supporters of terrorism celebrate in the streets. Others extremists taunt the U.S. stating that we "do not have the belly" to retaliate. The Taliban government of Afghanistan backs him up and then says; don't bomb us, innocent people will die and reminds us to consider the consequences. Too f...ing late Bubba. I am in one hundred percent agreement with the notion that countries that aid and abet terrorism should also be held accountable. The terrorists that carried out this attack can no longer be punished by any living human being, but their comrades and leaders need to be dealt with immediately, swiftly and absolutely. If the execution of this plan involves military action, so be it. The full wrath of the American people must be unleashed against our enemies. The nature of terrorism is so perverse and elusive that civilized people can not readily understand it to the degree necessary to effectively eradicate this threat to humanity. This is an issue of generational hatred that has now come to a head with the United States as its primary focus. I for one do not want to live in the gun sights of an enemy with no face, courage, honor or reason. There will be no diplomatic solutions. There will be no negotiations. There will be no compromise. There must be action. This sh.. stops, and it stops right now. Thanks for letting me vent. Robert B. King Safety Harbor, Florida

To see anyone badmouth any president at this time makes me sick. We should stand strong as Americans. This event could start a new war. We must know who is responiable before we go kicking ass. Re: [Chevelle-List] Anybody running Flowmaster mufflers behind stock exhaust manifolds and header pipes?
Hi Jim, I have 2 chamber Flowmasters on my 76 Vette with the stock ram horn exhaust manifolds. I have a .wav if you want to hear it. cYa- Herb Lumpp - Original Message - From: Jim R Hunter To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Sunday, September 09, 2001 9:56 PM Subject: [Chevelle-List] Anybody running Flowmaster mufflers behind stock exhaust manifolds and header pipes? Is anybody out there running Flowmaster 2-chamber or 3-chamber mufflers and tailpipes behind stock exhaust manifolds and header pipes? After taking a detour last week to order a new gas tank the accompanying h/w, I'm back to thinking about a new exhaust system. When I got my new Year One catalog in the mail with my gas tank bolt shipmen over the weekend, I noticed that the catalog lists the stock muffler dimensions as 25" overall length with a 21" case length, whereas the Flowmaster 3-chamber dimensions are 22" overall 16" case and the 2-chamber dimensions are 19" overall 13" case. Given that the Flowmaster mufflers are "shorter" than stock mufflers and the Flowmaster tailpipes claim to be the same length and bend footprints as stock tailpipes, I'm wondering if I'd be able toconnect a set of Flowmaster mufflers and tailpipes directly tomy stock 80" header pipes or whether I'll need some sort of"extensions" (to get the muflers to sit far enough back so that the tailpipes will loop over the rear properly). (I realize that a muffler shop could properly rig up something with no sweat, but I was hoping that I could just buy all "off-the-shelf" partsand be able to assemble everythingright out of the box without needing any special bending or welding tools). If anybody has any experience or thoughts on this, I'd appreciate hearing them! Jim -no-69SS-cars-at

RE: [Chevelle-List] Anybody running Flowmaster mufflers behind stock exhaust manifolds and header pipes?
Herb, I'd be interested in that WAV file, as I might be replacing the exhaust on both my cars within the next year. Is anyone running Flowmaster 3-chamber mufflers? My Camino is a driver/cruiser, and a low, mellow sound is more important than all out performance. I imagine the 2-chamber mufflers might be louder than what I'm looking for. -Dave, [EMAIL PROTECTED] -Original Message-From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Herbert LumppSent: Thursday, September 13, 2001 4:05 PMTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]Subject: Re: [Chevelle-List] Anybody running Flowmaster mufflers behind stock exhaust manifolds and header pipes?
