Re: [JAWS-Users] touch pad on lanovo laptop
We have problems with early laptops with lenova. I have a old one and even when we touch the pad it came back on when it rebooted. If you remove the software windows takes over the touch pad. If you can ask some one to look at the documentation. I bought a asus computer and the documentation was very poor. You could go to the website and see if you can find the manual. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Kimsan Sent: Tuesday, February 16, 2016 1:50 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: [JAWS-Users] touch pad on lanovo laptop I purchased a new laptop this weekend. Re: [JAWS-Users] upgrading to Windows 10
Not much to write down just good guidelines and you won't have much to remember. The new inter browser wont't work with jaws write away so it might be better to wait a little while before upgrading to windows 10. Also you might need sighted help when it is done upgrading to windows. Jaws won't start talking. Use windows key and the enter key to get narrator talking. Also if you have any earlier versions of jaws it won't work and they will not work. They must be removed. When jaws starts it may need a repair as well. The only way I know to bring those into the MP3 format is with some kind of converting software. For example, if you have Gold Wave on your system, you could record the song, then save it as an MP3. I believe that there are other easier software packages as well but you need to make sure that whatever you use does recognize and can work with M4 A. [JAWS-Users] found my problem with ie
Well I found my problem with ie and yes it was ie 8 I needed the service pack 1 I would have thought it would updated everything when I loaded windows so windows update is working hard and sooner later it will see the need for service pack 1. How I figured it out I finaly got to download ie 11 and saved it and when I ran it it said I needed service pack one. What fun. Just think what we could do with our time if computers ran correctly. The first field you will have available is the name field, so type in the name of the new contact group. Now you must add members to your contact group, which You can select members from Outlook contacts, the address book, or add email addresses manually. For the sake of avoiding writers cramp, I will only explain how to select them by addressbook. Activate the home ribbon by pressing alt h then press m for the members list. In the dropdown list, arrow down to addressbook and press enter. Now, select the members, as many as you'd like. Keep in mind that you will land in a search field first, so tab to the extended list and arrow until you find who you are looking for and press enter and that person will be added to the contact group. Just repeat this process until you have everyone that you'd like to be in the group. Once you are complete, press alt s to save it. I hope this helps. If you are using Google Aps, there is a Google Sync program you can download from Google which sincs up both your Google mail and your calendar. Its kind of hard to do though, so if you aren't using Google Aps professionally, the second option is probably better. If you only want to be able to send and receive Gmail through outlook the second way is simpler. You Go into Google Mail on the web, go to settings, and select IMAP/POP. This makes Gmail an IMAP server. You then open Outlook and create a new email account plugging in the Google IMAP and SMTP settings. Google explains what these are in the help section under settings. If you get too stuck, let me know and I'll open my gmail settings and find the exact configuration you'll need. Once this is set up. You can both send and receive Gmail from with in Outlook 2010. Export Outlook items to an Outlook Data File (.pst) Information in Microsoft Outlook 2010 can be exported to an Outlook Data File (.pst). This provides a way transfer Outlook 2010 items to another computer or to make a backup. Folder properties such as permissions and views are not preserved when you export to an Outlook Data File (.pst). Only the content itself is exported. 1. Enter on the File tab alt+f=file. 2. Up/down arrow enter on Options or you could press the letter t. 3. Down arrow until you hear Advanced or you simply could press the letter a. Advanced command in the Outlook Options dialog box 4. Under Export, enter Export. Export command in the Backstage view Note The Import and Export Wizard can also be opened by selecting the File tab, selecting Open, and then choosing Import. 5. Enter on Export to a file, and then click Next. 6. Choose Outlook Data File (.pst), and then click Next. 7. Select the account top level folder that you want to export. This enables exporting all mail, calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes if available for that account. Note Only information for one account can be exported at a time. Make sure that the Include subfolders check box is selected. 8. Click Next. 9. Click Browse to select where you want to save the Outlook Data File (.pst) and to enter a file name. Enter OK to continue. Note If you have previously used the export feature, the previous folder location and file name appear. Make sure that you change the file name if you want to create a new file instead of using the existing file. 10. If you are exporting to an existing Outlook Data File (.pst), under Options, specify what to do when exporting items that already exist in the file. 11. Since Dragon responds to verbal commands it hears its really pretty impossible to work it without an interface because it hears and tries to respond to Jaws.
