Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Test] Repo for LMS 7.9.0 on Synology DSM 5.*
Hi microspock, I really havent a clue. What I know is we currently have a unstable package on some of the 16 architectures. Which is disappointing and annoying. I did find a mistake in the previous package. An old version of the bootstrap.pm module somehow got into our package. After my pc crash I must have picked and old source file to build all packages. I will update them all this weekend to get rid of that issue. - But please do remember you have a fallback scenario, which is the Synology beta package of LMS! - Greetings, Martin -Synology nas DS115 - Logitech Media Server 7.9.0 ('LMS-Repack' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?103636-Test-Repo-for-LMS-7-9-0-on-Synology-DSM-5-*&p=817970&viewfull=1#post817970)) -Raspberry PI B+ (PicorePlayer), HifiBerry DAC+ - Cambridge Azur 840A - PMC GB1i -2x Radio -Laptop - openSUSE - Squeezelite pinkdot's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=34644 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103636 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Otherwise some players would continue to play 'silently" till the end of the track and then create a faulty "next track" detection. But with the Uniti, when you press mute on the remote, it seems that it goes into a UPnP "paused" state and this is detected by sq2u that stops the player in return ... and then you cannot restart. okay, let me re-consider that mode then. Any chance Squeezer will support fixed volume? I generally use iPeng as my controller but now also have an Android phone. I added that parameter at a user's request because, when you pause from LMS, it sends a "set volume to 0" command and that was seen as an inconvenience by some who paused from LMS (not stopped) and then switched their player to another source, but the volume was remaining at 0. With this parameter set, the volume is re-set by sq2u *after* the pause command has been issued (for obscure reasons, the "0" command cannot be filtered out befor ebeing sent to the player). In your case because you ignore all LMS volume command, it does not have any influence, all such commands are filtered out LMS 7.7.5 - 5xRadio, 3xBoom, 4xDuet, 1xTouch, 1 SB2. There's something very odd about any test on my M1 CLiC. However careful I am to stop play, stop sq2u, change params and restart, something often goes wrong thereafter and leaves me confused. On my Marantz it's fine. It's as if the CLiC has a memory of what it was doing before and gets itself in a knot. A complete power down and restart is then needed, but I've usually almost given up trying by the time I decide to do this. Each full cycle of for a single change can take many minutes if I go through the whole rigmarole including powering off, and I'm just not patient enough. I don't know if you saw my edit to my previous post, and I'm not sure precisely what problem you say you have fixed. Suffice to say I really don't want LMS assuming anything at all about the volume, muted or otherwise, and I don't want the current volume display on the LMS GUI. If others do, then please make it an option. My player may be muted by remote, but the volume is not 0 when using headphones. I don't understand the 'mute on pause' function. I tried to find it in the manual but failed. Can you explain why any such function is needed and which parameter it is? It would help if the phrases used on the GUI were reflected in the manual. I struggle sometimes to work out what is what. I also noted at least one tool-tip still mentions the volume curve. LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi, Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] iPeng support thread
I think I have found a bug with latest iPeng and iOS 9.1. It's happened a couple of times now. Last night I was listening to something on my iPhone using iPeng and player add in. I hit pause at some point and went to bed. Today me and my iPhone were out for the day so I didn't use iPeng until I got home. Tonight I went to iPeng and the track I was playing was visible but obviously paused. Rather than resume I chose something else and hit play. The track in question played ok but the now playing screen stayed on last nights choice in pause mode. I jumped a track ahead through the playlist screen but it still stayed on last nights selection. The only way to sort it was to fully shutdown iPeng and then restart it. As I say this has happened a couple of times now since iOS 9.1 upgrade. I hope I have explained it clearly enough. It isn't a big problem to me but reported so you are aware Pippin. *Vortexbox LMS 7.8 music on QNAP TS419p via NFS* iThingys/iPeng/Tablets *Living Room* - SB3 -> Onkyo TS606 - > Celestion Ditton F20s - Zone 2 -> Sony TA FE 320 -> Sennheiser RS 130 & B&W P7 *Office* - RPi -> Sony TA FE320 -> Celestion F10s / SB3 -> Onkyo CRN 755 -> Wharfedale Modus Cubes *Dining Room* -> SB Boom *Kitchen* -> UE Radio (upgraded to SB Radio) *Bedroom (Bedside)* - SB Touch -> Topping TP21 -> AKG Headphones *Bedroom (TV)* - Amazon Fire TV (SB Player) -> Topping TP20 -> Wharfedale Modus Cubes d6jg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=44051 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=51929 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Not an exhaustive review but I carried out a quick test this morning and what I immediately noticed is that on play start up I have to unmute the Uniti using the player remote. I think the log extract below shows what happens. Does the bridge initiate a mute command on start up? [07:31:30.968] CtrlSetMute:275 uPNP mute 0 for http://192.168.0.147:8080/RenderingControl/ctrl (cookie 0004) Living up to my name of PaulinPausit, the other thing I have noticed (which is also apparent in Dev12) is that pressing mute on the Uniti remote actually kills the stream to the Uniti whilst pausing play in LMS, so it has now become a 2 part operation to unmute/restart play. 1) unmute player with remote. 2) unpause stream in LMS control to restart play, which does restart from the correct position. I could just use the LMS control but it's not as convenient as it was with previous versions so for me that's a downside. As I say, not a full review but hopefully of use. Config file also attached for ref. +---+ |Filename: upnpbridge-Uniti config.txt | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=19330| +---+ PaulinPosset's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=63060 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say a heartfelt thankyou bpa for taking on this task. This community is so fortunate to have such selfless work done time after time on its behalf. I (and others) have tried contacting Triode during the year and have got no reply and I feel he has experienced a life changing event and so has more pressing matters. That said, I have worked witrh Triode over the years and I expect he'll understand why I decided to undertake maintenance of the plugin. I think it's better for Triode that the plugin is maintained rather than become a mess of install & patches from disparate places. For a plugin to continue to be useful, it has to be actively maintained. Triode is still the author the BBCiPlayer plugin and I will not change any of the notices at the start of the Triode authored files. I have added files to support Dash and they will have appropriate notices licensed in the same way. This is similar to when I had created some "Addons" in an earlier version of Triode's AlienBBC. I will add a list of contributors in Settings so it is easily seen. I have no interest nor need for any commercial gain arising from supporting BBCiPlayer plugin. Becoming maintainer is a double edged sword besides taking control it also means taking responsibility which can mainfest in unwanted forms so it is not a task I take on lightly - it is much easier to write code and just keep it for my own use. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=104672 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Hi, I tried the latest dev version this morning, mainly just playing rather than any deep methodical testing. I have only tried it on my Marantz CR603, which cannot do gapless. I haven't changed any settings. 1) I don't like using the LMS volume control, so I have always disabled this (ignore all changes). That still works, but oddly, when I change the volume using my remote, it does get changed on the LMS display. It isn't a problem, but is slightly disconcerting. 2) I did some pause/repositioning which all went OK. 3) It failed to go to the next track. It played briefly and then the Marantz threw a wobbly and started scanning for servers again. I attach the log from the start of play up to this point. 4) Subsequent tracks did play sequentially (with gaps as expected). 5) The BBC iPlayer information giving details of the current program and current item in the program displays OK on this player (I'm slightly unclear on what ICY metadata is), or at least all the information shown on the LMS Web GUI also shows on the player. I'll get around to testing my other player (MF M1CLiC) at some point, maybe later today +---+ |Filename: upnplog.txt | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=19328| +---+ LMS 7.9 on VortexBox Midi, Xubuntu 14.04, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps.
