Yea, the breakroom is 21+. Fuckin' lame man. I e-mailed Joe about it and he said that he and will really wanted to play just a regular small club show. Man...there's small ALL AGES clubs to play at too! It's fuckin' weak man. And I'm 15 so there's no way I could get in. Does anyone have the Band In DC bootleg CD? Please e-mail if you do, thanks, Porter
Re: [sdre-l]: Lil' Red Hearts
ah...a bootleg put out by some "super SDRE fan" in search of a few bucks. They are limited to 100 but the funny thing is, I've seen well over a hundred of those damn things(i've even seen number 25/100 fpr sale elsewhere and the crazy thing is that I own #25/100!!!)... Don't be fooled...they aren't limited to 100, and even if they were, who cares anyway. Oh wow they are **RARE**.. yeah but seriouslymake anything, give it an edition of 100, and in this world it will be considered "rare". It's a bunch of bullshit... let's do some math.. 1) CD-R cd (around 3 bucks when bought at bulk) 2) one piece of paper bag ...1/2 cent 3) two inches of yarn... 1/4 cent 4) red marker...1.50 5) paper for insert...1/2 cent YOU PAY: 10-17 dollars YOU LOOSE: 4.48 to 11.48 per bootleg bought. SDRE MAKES: 0% profit. SOME LOSER BOOTLEGGER MAKES 75-90% profit per cd bought. Bottom line: Fuck bootleging unless it is for yourself or for no profit what-so-ever. Bootleging is for talentless idiots who need a better hobby..get a job. so pass up the next bootleg you see. have a nice day :) -- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: [sdre-l]: Lil' Red Hearts > Date: Monday, May 03, 1999 9:02 PM > > Hello- > So tell us...what was on these cd's? > *Agnes* > > > >>OK. [sdre-l]: in need of a favour.....
hey listers. okay, i need to ask someone on this list to do me a huge favour from someone going to the portland show on the 27th. (shaun: maybe you since you're going with me, right?) i just tried ordering my ticket at TicketWeb, and it wouldn't let me because it kept telling me i was entering my address wrong. i tried putting it in every way i could think of, including the EXACT way it is written on the statements i get from my bank, but no dice. my address is kinda long, so maybe my bank has it some other way, i don't know. bottom line is, i have no way of personally getting a ticket because of this. so i would like to ask some kind soul out there to order one for me, with the understanding you will of course be paid back in full. i can either pay you back at the show or send a check, either way is just fine by me. i have the money, that's not the problem. the computer is just killin me on this one. so if you would be so kind as to be willing to do this, please write me back and let me know. i'd REALLY REALLY appreciate it. =) oh, and i think the place said that you can only have one order per credit card, so if you already ordered your ticket, then i guess that leaves you out of this deal. take care. =) john np: radiohead "the bends" "and as your fantasies are broken in two did you really think this bloody road could pave the way for you?" -Jeff Buckley ___ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. [sdre-l]: the real lil' red heart
Alright, so my fairytale fantasies of rock stars playing with magic markers and glue sticks for our pleasure was absurd. I've been caught over-dramatizing. And as it's been noted to me, Sunny Day has no official live recordings, so whatever the people at the record store think they know, they're wrong. But in case anyone's wondering, someone told me what was going on with the three CDs I saw. They're bootlegs of various things, I guess made by the same person; three volumes, "vol 1 is at the knitting factor [1995]; vol 2 is jeremy rare and acoustic; and vol 3 is sunny day acoustic stuff." There are supposedly only a hundered, so I guess they'll be worth a bit more money in couple years. Late, Amy

[sdre-l]: Joe and Damien
Hey all - this might be old news (lord knows I don't read much on here anymore) but anybody notice that Joe Skyward plays bass on the new Damien record? Saw Damien play last night in Athens GA. Go support him on the rest of the tour. They drove 13 hours to texas today from Athens. The show was an intimate house show. This fella David Fischoff played and I'm sure the majority of this list would dig the "emo" content of his solo work. And Damien did this great stripped down version of Tornado... So go see Damien. brian ps. no, Joe isn't touring with Damien. he's going solo on this tour. Also Erika Jacobs plays cello on the record. Erika was in Enigk's touring orchestra. Paul Mumaw played on earlier Damien stuff (Paul played drums for Enigk's tour as well). So enough of me validating this post with a saturation of SDRE references. It's summer.
