Damn near about time! Friggin' postal system. And they're raising the price of stamps again. Just received this from Mr Skull - Thank you, sir! And many thanks to Jim L for starting this one up!
Re: [Zappa-List] Zappa Beer
When seeing this subject come up I'm reminded of the irony. Does anyone else recall FZ going on briefly about beer (and its association with stupidity) in the Real Frank Zappa Book? and of course there would be his stance against drugs in general, and alcohol is in fact a drug (albeit a legal drug as opposed to those 'untaxed' drugs) As I said, irony. Mr. Skull
Re: [Zappa-List] Zappa Beer
almost forgot - Who in their right mind would associate Mrs. Zappa's idiotic and greedy with being liberal ( media created and mentally conditioned term in my opinion)? I associate stupid and greedy behavior with politicians of all kinds in general. I think FZ would have agreed. (You say your life's a bum deal and you're up against the wall? Well people you ain't got no kinda deal at all, cause what they do down in Washingtum...) Is this guy sure he's on the correct list? Skull

Sorry if I mentioned this already. Between moving, caring for a three month old and not sleeping I can barely remember my name. so just in case, the discs for the Yellow Shark vine have gone on to John Keating. I think I may have notified him, not sure about the group. So here it is. Mr. Skull
Re: [Zappa-List] Frank Zappa article on www.jazz.com
Wouldn't have ever happened. FZ expressed his extreme dislike of Miles on at least one occasion I can recall. Mr. Skull . . . and perhaps even fantasize about what might have happened if Miles had given FZ the call for the Bitches Brew sessions. You can read the article here http://www.jazz.com/dozens/the-dozens-the-jazzy-side-of-frank-zappa Check out the rest of the site while you are visiting. Re: [Zappa-List] RE: Frank Zappa article on www.jazz.com
BerichtIt was in a Guitar Player magazine interview if memory serves. I probably still have it as I NEVER throw out anything 'Frank'. But it wasn't about his music, it was about Miles Davis as a person. He recalled going to see Miles in the early Sixties and went to meet him after the show. He relates walking up to MD to introduce himself and shake Miles' hand. According to Frank, after saying something along the lines of 'Mr. Davis, my name is Frank Zappa and I enjoyed your show' etc Miles turned his back on FZ and completely ignored\snubbed him. Frank goes on to say how this stuck with him and he made sure to never treat his fans this way. Hope that clears things up. Mr. Skull Wouldn't have ever happened. FZ expressed his extreme dislike of Miles on at least one occasion I can recall. Really? Any idea why or what period of Miles' music he was referring to? best wishes, Marco http://www.wmrecordings.com WM Recordings PO Box 26 6400 AA Heerlen The Netherlands eFax +31 (0)84 724 5674

John K and all of those waiting on this vine. Huge embarrassment. I gave my word i would send the discs to John yesterday. I do not give my word casually. It's something I always follow through on. But here's the deal I screwed up and failed to take care of this prior to moving. and now I can't find the discs amid all of the packed boxes. I know I *DO* in fact have them. It's just a matter of time. I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and will copy and ship as soon as I find them. I beg everyone's patience and apologize again for this idiotic mistake on my part. Thank you, Mr. Skull

Sorry to make more noise, but as people are waiting... I just came across the discs for this vine. I will copy and mail immediately. John K, please contact me off-list so I can have your e-maill address to let you know when I send them Apologies for all this nonsense. Skull
Re: [Zappa-List] Re: Nappy's Fate?
Yes she does, and you're absolutely right about that. I'll now raise the bar even further. Now that we have a kid, she's going to follow through on a plan she's had for years - to buy our daughter the kid sized Titties and Beer t-shirt, and you can bet she'll take our little mutant out in public in it. She cried the day Frank died. The trick is to find and marry a weird woman. Your wife likes Zappa? Your a lucky man indeed Mr Skull. It's been my observation that female Zappa fans are few and far between. Mrs Skull is probably a keeper for sure. Jim L

Re: [Zappa-List] Nappy's Fate? ; one more comment, but not fate related
Napoleon is the man. He's part of the reason I love that NMB\Ruth\tom\George Duke\Chester line up more than others. It's my favorite Zappa configuration. Flo and Eddie!? Fuckabuncha Flo and Eddie, it's Napoleon man. And to think I never knew he was called Nappy... About 2 or 3 years ago I got a chance to talk to Napoleon at a Project/Object concert in Baltimore. It was an enjoyable conversation; he talked about healthy foods- various milk shakes, lots of vegetables- his BALLScd, and he even launched into an impromptu Room Service routine, egging me on to join him as the Frank part of it. That was a real treat for me. I also asked him if he had any news on the Roxy video release and he said that he had bveen in contact with Gail and that the movie was going to be released (his words) Real Soon, it's coming out real soon, about 2 or 3 months My guess is that is what he was told, but that obviously did not happen. If anyone reading this has never seen Napoleon perform and you do get an opportunity you should make it a point to go. The man works harder than most performers I have seen. He is non-stop stage action and he really puts his whole heart and soul into a performence. I was lucky to see him sometime in the 70's and considrer myself fortunate to get a chance to talk to him when I did. Ike Willis was also at that show and the band was tight. Marc

Re: [Zappa-List] Re: Nappy's Fate?
Honestly, no. Truth is I've never conversed with any *serious* Zappa fans until this list. I've met many who really like him, have seen shows, own recorded material but that's it. If it ever was uttered in any of the recordings of live shows I've watched or heard, I missed it. Sincere question: In your years of Zappa fandom, you've never heard / read anyone refer to him by the diminutive Nappy (or Napi)? --Milhouse -- Start the year off right. Re: [Zappa-List] Re: Nappy's Fate?
I was just thinking about the Society Pages last night. Is it still being printed? I'm sure I picked it up somewhere online, if not here then maybe a.f.f-z - but you're right, I don't ever remember reading the term in either Motherpeople or Society Pages. Rest assured it's a fond diminutive. It does my heart good to see Ray White getting in there with a different mix of songs but at the same time it breaks my heart to think of Napoleon being treated unfairly (again). imho YMMV David See me on MySpace at: www.myspace.com/davidblanglois -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Zappa-List@yahoogroups.com Sent: Tue, 15 Jan 2008 9:12 pm Subject: Re: [Zappa-List] Re: Nappy's Fate? It's cool. No ffense taken. My response was not intended to be nasty, I just was trying to get across that I've lived my life in a bit of a bubble when it comes to Zappa. The only other person I know who is serious about Frank is my wife. Even the guy who turned me onto Frank in High School eventually got over him whatever in the hell that means. Yes, humor belongs in e-mail groups, like music. But without facial expressions, tove of voice and vcal inflection we tend to misinterpret each other Hello Mr (or is this the Mrs?) Skull, I apologize if my question appeared accusatory- I did not mean that at all. On most of the Zappa related groups I've gone to there are many questions asked in jest that appear to be serious (Does Humor belong in an Email group?) Sometimes a very esoteric reference will be made just to see what responses it will provoke. Again, I meant no insult but I was truly wondering if you were serious. Re: [Zappa-List] Re: Nappy's Fate?
Looks like You, Eli and myself are outsiders... For what it's worth, I never called Napoleon Nappy either and wouldn't be surprised if he smacked my condescending ass one for that, either. On the alleged thread of this I heard from backstage talk (so take it with a grain of salt) that there was always some tension in the ZFT camp since Napoleon would not agree to work exclusively for the Zappa Plays Zappa band. He was not about to turn down a gig with Project/Object or any other Zappa tribute outfit that was not authorized by the Zappa Family Trust. As I said, this was hearsay so take it as such, although it does make a certain amount of logic (if not sense). [Zappa-List] VARESE A LA MODE Con Zappa
I hear the Varese influence on Frank in his use of percussion and atonal use of instruments. But Frank wore his influences on his sleeve when it comes to Varese and Stravinsky both. Is Poeme Electronique the one with the firehorns in it? Another interesting work by Varese- Poeme Electronique- modified taped and electronic effects created for a World's Fair exhibit I believe. Perhaps a clue to Zappa's fascination with taped tidbits punctuating his comedy music. My original exposure to Varese (via Zappa referral) was on vinyl- Robert Craft conducting.BTW, there are two versions of Density 21.5- 21.5 pertaining to the density of platinum. Varese composed the piece for the inaugural presentation of the platinum flute. There is a detailed analysis of the composition found on Wikipedia- look it up as Density 21.5.--- In Zappa-List@yahoogroups.com, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Actually my copy of Ionisation includes Octandre and Density (I seem to recall it listed as "Densities" but could be mistaken). On that note, I've always thought YCDTOSA Vol. was a great live one, especially regarding its "RUTH" content... Try "Roxy and Elsewhere". It does contain some "silly" lyrics (some of the better silly lyrics) but it has lots of fine FINE instrumental sections executed by some of his best sidemen (and sidewoman) ever, IMHO. Re: [Zappa-List] seek your advice
Frank's instrumental\orchestral\'arranged' music has always been my preferred Zappa listening. With that in mind I really like "Lather", Hot Rats\Waka Jawaka (a separate and distinct title from "Hot Rats") and "The Yellow Shark". "Jazz From Hell" is purty cool too. With "Lather" I just program out the vocal tracks when I'm not in the mood for them. Try it, you'll love it, it's a way of life... Mr. Skull Hi,I'm a relative newbie to Frank Zappa music. To begin I bought a "best of album" to get a sampling (with over 70+ albums to chose from and such a wide variety it is hard to choose!).The first song on the album - "Peaches En Regalia" hit me right up front and I would like to ask which other songs/albums offer similar styles of compositions. The vocal stuff doesn't do much for me at this stage, but I'm really hungry for the "peaches" style compositions.Any advice or pointers would be appreciated.thanks.-Rob For further Z-related fun, please visit http://www.thebignote.com or http://www.killuglyradio.com , thank you. Re: [Zappa-List] MITB Track Listing
Well then while I'm at it I'll ask: 1) What is different about the version of "Hungry Freaks, Daddy" on MITB? 2) What is the original source of MITB? Mr. Skull 26) Sink Trap (acetate) It's worth noting that this is from the 1975 Royce Hall concerts (it's since been released on QuAUDIOPHILiac under the title "Lumpy Gravy") and not from the Lumpy Gravy orchestral recordings at all. 11) Uncle Remus (instrumental version) And that this is from George's Duke's The Aura Will Prevail. 11) Ship Ahoy (live 2/3/76, Osaka, Japan) And it still sort of bothers me that this is on the set as it contains maybe five whole seconds of music not on the officially released recording (whereas the entire guitar solo that precedes it in "Zoot Allures" has never been officially released, and it could have easily gone on this set.) 3) Flakes (live, 9/21/78) And that this is on there instead of "Moe's Vacation" (and it's 9.27.78, btw, not 9.21) 6) Don't Eat the Yellow Snow (YCDTOSA vol. 1, live, 2/18/79)7) Nanook Rubs It (YCDTOSA vol. 1, live edit, 2/18/79)8) St. Alphonzo's Pancake Breakfast (YCDTOSA vol. 1, live, 2/18/79)9) Father O'Blivion (YCDTOSA vol. 1, live, 2/18/79)10) Rollo (YCDTOSA vol. 1, live, 2/18/79) And this whole debacle. 15) For the Young Sophisticate (LP version) And that this is identical to the CD version. 16) Pick Me I'm Clean (LP version) And the only thing that differentiates this from the CD version is the little drum fill edited in at the beginning. While it came from vinyl, it's still the compiler's version and not legitimately "the LP version." Why this and not "Now You See It - Now You Don't" which gets it's ending tramped on on the CD version due to a crossfade? 8) Strictly Genteel (live, 10/31/81) And why this is necessary (great, you edited out the guy screaming "Zappa!" at the end, at the expense of something else that could have gone on the set...) Not that I don't love the entire set as a whole, those are just a few little things that always kinda bugged me... --Milhouse For further Z-related fun, please visit http://www.thebignote.com or http://www.killuglyradio.com , thank you. Re: [Zappa-List] Ripping?
Thank you Jim. I think the term first gained popular usage when mp3 caught on. A music CD (usually factory made) would be inserted and the act of producing mp3 files on the hard drive from it was termed ripping. I guess a new term was necessary in that audio on a music CD is in a format that cant be stored on a hard drive. CDDA or compact digital disc format. So to get the music onto your hard drive it cant be just copied but rather must be changed to a different format. Wav files are almost bit for bit identical to CDDA but the header is a little different on CDDA by design so that it cant be copied so easily. At least thats what they thought back in the early eighties. Mp3 is of course not similar at all and most of the digital information must be discarded when mp3 is created. Flac and shn files still contain all of the data from the original wav file but store it a bit more compactly and can be expanded back into the original wav file. With mp3 you can expand back to wav but you can never get back the information thats been tossed out. Thats why theyre referred to as lossy while wav, flac and shn are considered lossless. Much of the information that gets tossed out in the creation of mp3 isnt even audible however and thats why they can sound as good as the do. Results seem to vary dramatically to my ear depending on what encoder is used. To me LAME makes the very best mp3 and razorlame is a good front end for it. Both are free. Then DVD entered the picture. Commercially produced DVD is encrypted and so cant be directly copied to the hard drive or disc ether. So ripping software for DVD became available in short order. It decrypts the files so that they can be copied. Unencrypted DVDs like we share here can be directly copied to the hard drive. Also if you do a direct disc copy of a CD it doesnt have to be ripped to another format but can directly copy the CDDA files. The belief that EAC (exact audio copy) software is superior at reading the disc however has lead to the practice of ripping an audio CD into wav files first and then authoring a new CD from them rather than doing a disc copy. Everything Ive read as well as my own experiences seems to back up this belief. Ideally a software could read the disc like EAC but create a disc image from the data instead of making wav files. That would avoid converting from CDDA to wav and then back to CDDA just to copy a disc. Perhaps EAC will get around to that in the future. Re: [Zappa-List] Vine order confusion (have a look at this)
If it will eliminate all doubt about who is in what order to receive something and who had it last then I think it's an idea whose time is long over due. Mr. Skull What would you guys think about keeping the list of vine participants on the website? It should eliminate the getting out of order problem. The list of participants would be stationary instead of traveling with each email and running the risk of becoming mangled. We could make a database for each vine. Check out the example I made here. http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/Zappa-List/database Play with it. Try adding yourself to the example vine by clicking on add record. Try making an all new example vine by clicking on create table from the main database page the link goes to. Just an idea I was kicking around for a tweak to the system. Re: [Zappa-List] vines - everyone PLEASE read.
Just for the record. Something of the comments you've responded to listed with my name below, are in fact either Jim's or someone else's. Maybe I'm misreading your tone, but I get the feeling of being singled out here. I may be mistaken. Point being, I'm not the only one who *clearly* expressed some feeling of frustration and disappointment over frequent 'vine failure'. As you pointed out this group belongs to all of us, I reserve the right from here on in to decline anyone who failed to keep their end of the bargain on moving a vine along (AKA "moving the project forward"). I will do this *ONLY* on vines I start, and it will be done off-list\privately. And with the condition that once they uphold their commitment, I will gladly add them to the end of any vine I begin. That's my "final solution" Mr. Skull SOFA came up with this great new system that should make it easy to track the vines. Seems to me that with a good system like this we could easily determine who is killing the vines. For any one not familiar with SOFA's vine method I took the liberty of posting it here for easy access. http://www.regyptionstrut.com/vine.htmJim L The system works - when it's employed. It's not universally employed. With a group like this, with people joining (and leaving) everyday, you gotta kinda hope that newbies read the FAQ that explains it all. Unfortunately, not all do - no, no, no, they're much to wise for that; FAQ's are for dummies... PEUW! There are some "regulars" that still don't employ the system, ("I don't need a to read the FAQ; I've been posting for years". Double PEUW!), so it's not just new members... The biggest problem lately is members on digest that respond to an "old message", which - in effect - screws up the proper order of the vine. Hey, when in doubt, visit the yahoo page; it's the most up-to-date. This aint rocket science, kids... (Frankly, I think most are too lazy to bother - but, that's just me, speaking from experience,) I had missed the removal of one's own name aspect of this vine system. But one question: If there are no consequences for those who might repeatedly "kill" a vine, then what good can it possibly do us to know who is responsible. Mr. Skull "Consequences" require a specific set of "actions" on someone's part - namely, moi. As sole owner/moderator of the Zappa list, that means I would have to (unbiasedly) track every vine that occurs here. Since we began the vine system, posts regarding them has become the major influx of mail. I'm sorry, but I simply can't dedicate that much time to the vines. I still monitor every post made by a new member before it hits the boards; until a new member's "intent" has been made clear to me, none of you are bothered by extraneous poot. By doing this, I have eliminated all porn spam, chain mails, and other self-promotional crap that plagues yahoo groups. I believe my efforts have made the Zappa-List the friendliest, crap-free group going at yahoo. And that's as far as I care to take it, on the moderator end... I think we know where the vines are and who kills them. The point is what action can be taken. You have to be seen to be fair, as we all have life difficulties from time to time.It shouldn't be aproblem to let the list know your going to cause a delay...unless your pc dies...then what? Mr. Skull Here's the deal: The Zappa-List is your group. I only try to do what I think is best for the 700+ members we have. If the more active viners wish to have a greater deal of "control" (read: able to inflict consequences) of the workings of the group, I'm all for it and I welcome your private email(s) to that effect. {Don't send no boys, okay? Serious contributors only, please. And I gotta take a minute to thank JimL for holding down the fort for me in the past - you ROCK, dude!} AFA what I recommend in the case of known (or suspected) "vine killers", if you all know who's killing off vines (Lord knows I have no clue), then simply move their name to the end of the list, or remove it altogether. If they respond and bitch, state your case in the most inoffensive manner possible {remember, personal attacks are simply not tolerated; use the facts as you see them, and keep your opinion to yourself}, and request an explanatory response. Remember, it's your group! It's unfortunate, but a fact, that some folks are just scum. I'm one of those that needs to smacked over the head repeatedlywith proof before I believe it of anyone... It's one of the things that makes me lovable - that, and my tasteful, maroon hue. Maybe I'm misreading your tone, but I get the feeling of being singled out here. I may be mistaken. Point being, I'm not the only one who *clearly* expressed some feeling of frustration and disappointment over frequent 'vine failure'. As you pointed out this group belongs to all of us, I reserve the right from here on in to decline anyone who failed to keep their end of the bargain on moving a vine along (AKA "moving the project forward"). I will do this *ONLY* on vines I start, and it will be done off-list\privately. And with the condition that once they uphold their commitment, I will gladly add them to the end of any vine I begin. That's my "final solution" Mr. Skull SOFA came up with this great new system that should make it easy to track the vines. Seems to me that with a good system like this we could easily determine who is killing the vines. For any one not familiar with SOFA's vine method I took the liberty of posting it here for easy access. http://www.regyptionstrut.com/vine.htmJim L The system works - when it's employed. It's not universally employed. With a group like this, with people joining (and leaving) everyday, you gotta kinda hope that newbies read the FAQ that explains it all. Unfortunately, not all do - no, no, no, they're much to wise for that; FAQ's are for dummies... PEUW! There are some "regulars" that still don't employ the system, ("I don't need a to read the FAQ; I've been posting for years". Double PEUW!), so it's not just new members... The biggest problem lately is members on digest that respond to an "old message", which - in effect - screws up the proper order of the vine. Hey, when in doubt, visit the yahoo page; it's the most up-to-date. This aint rocket science, kids... (Frankly, I think most are too lazy to bother - but, that's just me, speaking from experience,) I had missed the removal of one's own name aspect of this vine system. But one question: If there are no consequences for those who might repeatedly "kill" a vine, then what good can it possibly do us to know who is responsible. Mr. Skull "Consequences" require a specific set of "actions" on someone's part - namely, moi. As sole owner/moderator of the Zappa list, that means I would have to (unbiasedly) track every vine that occurs here. Since we began the vine system, posts regarding them has become the major influx of mail. I'm sorry, but I simply can't dedicate that much time to the vines. I still monitor every post made by a new member before it hits the boards; until a new member's "intent" has been made clear to me, none of you are bothered by extraneous poot. By doing this, I have eliminated all porn spam, chain mails, and other self-promotional crap that plagues yahoo groups. I believe my efforts have made the Zappa-List the friendliest, crap-free group going at yahoo. And that's as far as I care to take it, on the moderator end... I think we know where the vines are and who kills them. The point is what action can be taken. You have to be seen to be fair, as we all have life difficulties from time to time.It shouldn't be aproblem to let the list know your going to cause a delay...unless your pc dies...then what? Mr. Skull Here's the deal: The Zappa-List is your group. I only try to do what I think is best for the 700+ members we have. If the more active viners wish to have a greater deal of "control" (read: able to inflict consequences) of the workings of the group, I'm all for it and I welcome your private email(s) to that effect. {Don't send no boys, okay? Serious contributors only, please. And I gotta take a minute to thank JimL for holding down the fort for me in the past - you ROCK, dude!}
Re: [Zappa-List] vines - everyone PLEASE read.
If that is the only solution, then I agree, it's doubtful to be a good thing. Nothing worse than an insular elite. Ugh, shudder the thought. Skull of courseI agree that's the main issuethe only guarantee of thatis to make it an exclusive club of known, provenreliable members...I am not sure that's a good thing in many other ways though. - Original Message - From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Zappa-List@yahoogroups.com Sent: Thursday, October 06, 2005 10:43 PM Subject: Re: [Zappa-List] vines - everyone PLEASE read. I've made it a point to let the group know when I have a delay, which is too frequently I'm sorry to say. If my pc dies, I go to the library and use one of their computers to let the group know I'm on a temporary hiatus. Mr. Skull I think we know where the vines are and who kills them. Re: [Zappa-List] vines
Well, then it looks as if delay is not the issue here then. But it sure does suck when you wait so long on a vine that you begin to accept the fact that you might not ever receive it. MITB comes to mind for me on this one. Mr. Skull Personally I dont mind a delay. Especially if the person sends a post to the list explaining it. Its the vines that just stop. I really dont know were all this has happened. Ok I think I know about a couple of recent ones. I just know that out of the several vines Ive started over the last 6 to 12 months only one or two seem to have completed to the point that someone posts a message saying they were last. Ive never even been affected much by diapering vines because I seldom sign up to receive one. More often its just that Ive acquired something that I think is more than worth sharing and so I start one. Re: [Zappa-List] vines
Nope, never have seen the arrival of MITB. Gave up, but thought I'd mention it. Desperation is the mothers of invention. Yeah, wondered about how one diapered a vine... Skull Ho did that one die a premature death as well? Did you ever get it? I restarted it once and it got to at least one or two. Then I remember it got lost in the mail but I thought someone had said they would resend the discs? BTW obvius typo in my previus post (diapering vines) should be disappearing vines. lolJim L Well, then it looks as if delay is not the issue here then. Jim, I've got burnatonce on my drive as a result of your having recommending it previously. But I've never been able to get it to work. I'll have to try again, as I've got to get these damn discs burned and on their way. Frustrated, Mr. Skull Icant be of much help as I havent used Nero for some time now. They say its not compatible with all drives but Ive not found anyone yet thats had a problem if they are using 2000 or XP. Heres a little quick start guide with a link for downloading the software. Re: [Zappa-List] Nero help needed
Jim, Thanks for your help. I went to the Nero site and downloaded the available updates. This seems to have rectified the problem. Mr. Skull Ok then perhaps I do know of one that it isnt working for. It is designed for 2000 and or XP. Im starting to wonder if perhaps you have a hardware problem. Ive certainly worn out a few burners in the last few years. Not really worn out as much as they seemed to have circuitry failures. New ones are dirt cheap any more in fact for just a few dollars more a DVD CD combo burner can be had. All this may only be true for desktop models. Before condemning your drive though make sure you have DMA (direct memory access) enabled. This is usually enabled but sometimes gets turned off somehow. This is how you can check and turn it on if its off 1. Right-click My Computer, then click Properties. 2. Click the Hardware tab, then click the Device Manager button. 3. Open the devices under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers. 4. For the Primary IDE Channel and the Secondary IDE Channel, double-click the device to display its properties. 5. Click the Advanced tab. 6. Ensure that the Current Transfer Mode is DMA or Ultra DMA, not PIO Onlychange it if necessary. 7. Apply the changes and re-start Windows. [Zappa-List] Nero help needed
I know people are waiting on me for vines. I'm getting stuck thanks to Nero (now that I've gotten it to work again) I've burned two discs ( 1974-10-29, 1 2) and now Nero says there isn't enough room on my drive, and to make sure it is pointing to a folder with 80 MB or more. I've checked, my hard drive has ample room, but just to humor the damn thing, I've cleaned of loads of garbage. Tried again, same story from Nero. Apparently the cache\prefernces folder Nero refers to is not my "C" drive. Tried to find it, no avail. Can any of you out there set me straight? I love the confusion on this list, it just cracks me up sometimes. What's best is it remains so friendly, with which it was intended. Unlike some other listsI could mention.
