No, I was listening to the repeater. I misunderstood Alan's email
yesterday. I thought the repeater was back on.

Hi All,
Does anyone happen to have the 2148z AO51 recording from yesterday (1/19)? My
recorder failed, or I forgot to hit the record button.
I know I worked AJ5C in EM36, KJ4OHL in EM83 (I think), and there was also a

I think I found the N3 station - he just sent an email to the AMSAT BB.
N3YKF: I am sending you a separate email off list.

Damon,
Try Angelo, N5UXT. He just got back from EL59, but his home QTH is in EM40.
I still need to get EM40 confirmed as well.

Hi All,
Not sure how many of you hang out on QRZ and regularly update your pages, but
you may want to read this: http://forums.qrz.com/showthread.php?t=281634
According to the thread, QRZ will basically be in a read-only mode for several

Hi Jeff,
After you mentioned that, I went and took a look at the VUCC application
(http://www.arrl.org/files/file/Awards/VUCC%20App%202011.pdf) and sure
enough it says, "enclose 20 cents per QSO" (bottom of page). So, you send
$12 for postage to get your award mailed to you, $7 for ARRL member
Do you need to pay the card checker the $.20/QSO, or is that only if you
send them directly to ARRL??
I agree with Rick - the wording is not very clear.

Hi,
Jamie, KB3QLK, will be doing a demo(s) for his club during Winter Field Day
this Saturday-Sunday (30-31). He will be operating the birds using his
personal call before the event, then he will be using the club’s call, KB3BHL,
during the event. This will be a good opportunity for any stati
I just realized that Saturday is the 29 and Sunday is the 30. So, the
correct times/dates are 1700z January 29 - 1700z January 30.

Hi All,
Due to the fact that several stations that wanted either EN90 or EM99 or both
did not get to work me last time since I went during the week, I have decided
to make another trip out to the boundary next Saturday (29th) from about 1800z
– 2030z. I plan to be on the following passes from
patience, especially if
the activity on the birds is anything like it has been the past month.

Hi All,
Due to
I can deal with the $.20/QSO fee, but what I am wondering now is if they
charge you $.20/QSO if that QSO was in the same grid. Here is what I mean:
I received a QSL card from K8YSE with the following QSOs on it:
8/22/10 1916z V/U 59 FM AO27 EN57jv (K8YSE Grid)
8/22/10 1947z V/U 59 FM SO50 EN57jv
I like that idea a lot better! I have always enjoyed working with Bruce,
and it would support AMSAT like Larry said!

When I submitted my original VUCC app I had to indicate the gird in pencil

I have the D7A (full duplex), but I don’t like the receiver sensitivity. I
went back to using one THG71 for the down and the D7 for the up. The other
thing I don't like about the D7 is you have to switch between back and forth
between band A and B to adjust doppler. I would probably not recom
