That's
what I thought, but WTF. This guy is supposed to be one of the founding
members of the local chevelle camino club who's meeting I went to last
saturday. I asked him several times and he kept telling me the same
thing. I think I am gonna hafta have another talk with him
tommorrow.
Disc brakes weren't available until 1967. I'm sure
you know that,though.

Hi
Gang,
180 it would not even come close to running. The power supply for the breaker point distributor is routed through a resistance wire to drop the voltage and prevent damage to the points. A bypass wire was also used to supply the distributor with a full 12 volts at startup. On the other hand, an HEI

I've owned a VW camper and I'm sure you can use what they did. It was a
small aluminum 'C' Channel that was easily bent. It had small plastic
inserts that had loops that you sewed the curtains too. You just need to
figure out how to attach it to your vehicle. If not two spring loaded

Has anybody put up curtains all around the back half of a station
wagon? I want to be able to draw them for when I want to sleep in
the car on long trips, but out of the way most the time. It looks
like a project that will take a lot of imagination to figure out.
Anybody got any ideas?
Anyone have bumper brackets around for a 70 elky? (I think
the brackets from a 70 monte carlo might work as well)
Thanks,
JB
New coil springs will do more for an older car than almost anything else to
improve ride and handling. Rear coil spring air bags are cheap and work well
to stiffen and lift the rear slightly. Air shocks are like adding pogo
sticks. For my money, go with new coils and good performance shocks.

Thanks Pete. Most of the stuff will come out of my '66 so that's taken
care of. We were just discussing the tranny issue and my just swap my
tranny too. I can always get a TH40 for my 396 anyhow.
Thanks,
Jon

There is a reason that there are formulas that will
determine the amount of air flow for a specified RPM.
One thing is for sure, if your car only needs a 750
and you get the 850, your just spending more money on
something that wont make your car go any faster.

The 230 will bolt to any tranny a SB mounts to.
You can use the flexplate. I think the convertors are
Adjustable air bag suspension. hehe.
Maybe big block springs would lift it a
little.
Are you still running the original
springs?
If so, chances are they're wore out and have lost
their "spring" (aren't I punny?)

Yes. It pops
when there is detonation while a valve is open. That’s a timing issue.
Is the
vacuum advance working? Has the cam ever been degreed?
I assume
we have not ruled out the distributor being in wrong or the timing being set
wrong due to a slipped damper.

Hey guys,
My 1970 chevelle sits to low for comfort i want to avoid hitting the ground as much as
possible. What i want to do is raise the car in the rear about 3 inches and a few
inches in the front. I have hear that i can just install some airshocks in teh back
and that will lift it enough but
If it was a timing issue would it start and idle
fine, only to pop under a load?
