The good news is my 8.1 update went pretty smooth and I was back in
business within a few hours. 8.1 has solved a lot of quirky problems
I have with 8.0, things like not being able to run the sawfish
config from the control panel.
Installing on a Dell L700cxe and updating a partially upgraded 8
The secret to get it to install is to put:
DocumentRoot /var/www/html
in the http.conf file. This directive is in the commonhttpd.conf currently.
Making this change will get FP to install but I haven't got around to check
to see if it will actually work yet.

apache config giles into several sub files. You can concantenate httpd.conf

What are the chances of getting these to come with the kernel. I have

and this would be a great bonus to me as i recently have removed all traces
of windows from my machine
So, I f=did a fresh install with the latest Cooker as of today (19.10)
but still can't get PCMCIA services to run after install - the
pcmcia.img works fine for the install, but after install and reboot - NO
PC-Card services . . .
Could someone please shed some light on to this please?
