Hi Just,
I think, http://inspire-foss.org is great point for the start, gives
nice overview about possible solution of the SDI problem. Stelt.org
seems also be very nice.
There is one change: it's not going to be presentation, but only a
poster, which changes things a bit. I have no clue, how to
Hi Jachym and all,
Good initiative! I don't know if it is too late (busy), but I've also
added my name to the paper. Unfortunately I can't be in Florence but may
add some contribution. From 2009 on we (jointly with a.o. Lat-Lon/Occam
Labs i.e. deegree) have been doing quite some INSPIRE FOSS
Hi all,
thanks to Margherita, we now know, that the presentation proposal [1]
for this years INSPIRE conference in Florence was accepted as Poster and
the workshop proposed [2] was accepted under the condition, that we
merge it together with the workshop from GeoSolution and their MapStore.
Hi All!
*Latest updates:*
I talked to the conference organisers and came out that there is the
possibility to maintain separate the two workshop, because there's an
available slot for a workshop on Sunday morning. I talked to Simone and he
very kindly made himself available to take this slot,
Hi all,
same here, as said in the beginning I'm unfortunately not able to travel
but will contribute material mainly from MapServer as needed.

thank you for your thoughts. I'm a bit surprised that I didn't hear from
other co-authors. At this point I would like to know who is planning to be
there at the workshop anyway.
Thanks

Hi all,
Sorry for my later reply.
I agree with the suggested solution to split the workshop time, I don't
see another way to do this.
As we discussed in the initial hangout, unfortunately I won't be able to
attend, but I will contribute with workshop material.

Margherita, sorry I missed part of the info. When it is supposed to be
the workshop?
In Florence I have also the NASA WW challenge and therefore, as told,
I have to verify if I'm free or not when there is the workshop.
Many thanks!

Dear All,
as correspondent author for the workshop proposal [1], I received an email
from the INSPIRE Conference Organisers. Unfortunately, due to time and
space limitations, it is possible for them to only choose a small number of
the submitted workshops to appear in the programme. Therefore
Hi Madi,
I still did not obtain any confirmation mail about proposed presentation
- do you know by chance, how far the process is?
As for the workshop, it seems odd to combine MapStore as concrete
product with whole OSGeo stack and more dialogue-based workshop.
I see them as two different

Hi all,
I've read through the proposal and that looks quite nice! I have put myself to
the list of people that would like to take part in the workshop as a speaker.
The only thing unclear to me is the section Ping-Pong match: OSGeo INSPIRE.
Maybe that idea could be moved to another section or

Hi.
Just a few comments about the document.
In Keywords, there are Open Source projects that are not related with
OSGeo. As far as I know, NASA Worldwind is not in OSGeo, and gvSIG CE is a
fork of the official gvSIG, which is in incubation.
About Notes and Goals, I would add something related
Arnulf,
I tend to agree with Margherita that it makes sense to have JRC INSPIRE
Technical Committee members for OSGeo developers dialog partners in the
Pingpong workshop, as it allows for defining a very practical goal for it:
see if and where the Technical Guidelines might be improved.
This is
Hi all,
Thank you for the very interesting and insightful discussion we had on
the hang out.
As we discussed, we can make a short presentation with what OSGeo has to
offer to technicians/users/developers in terms of what level of INSPIRE
compliance there is in OSGeo Projects.
I propose that
More concrete summary (as I understand it, correct me, if I'm wrong):
1) We will submit worshop and presentation.
2) Clear message from OSGeo to INSPIRE people: OSGeo projects are
ready for INSPIRE (very general statement)
3) Presentation will give short summary to each OSGeo (and related)
