you can use my suggestion above to get to the lms page.

Agree. good idea. I've been using Pies/pCP for years, I've never used or
needed a static IP address, I don't see the point.

What is the IP address and how did you give your pCP that address and
what is the IP address of your router? Almost sounds like you've given

Thanks for your answer. I will not forget.
I made a new LMS on another PI and all is working fine again!

There are two stages in WiFi connection.
First is the SSID connection to the WiFi Access Point or Router and
second is the acquisition of IP address from DHCP server and connection
to the network subnet.
If you attempt to give the Pi a static IP address you simply will not be
able to tell whether

There are indeed lots of routers that will only allow a reservation
-inside- their reservation scope - Fritzbox as just one example - but
may will allow it inside and outside.
Why is a reservation better than a static?

Yeah, I'm running separate SSIDs, but these devices are the only ones in
my network that won't connect to the 5ghz one. Not sure what's going
on.

Ok, apparently it matters when entering the name of the SSID correctly.

My piCorePlayer running LMS has a wired connection to the router. The
files are held on a QNAP NAS which is also wired to the router.
I have a 2 Tb WD Hard Drive connected to the NAS by USB and which backs
up the files at midnight daily.
I manually back up to another WD drive roughly monthly and

Expose the USB drive attached to the Pi as a network share via Samba
Map the drive on your Windows PC and point media monkey at it.
Should all work but the issue is backup.
A NAS makes the backup task easy as youd just connect a USB drive and
click a few boxes to schedule a backup.
