rom within one single window is somewhat upsetting.
Calling rpmdrake from the panel MMC icon makes the "new look" one a little
more bearable. Still miss the old one, though.

Doesn't it have anyhing to do with the cohoice for a virtual monitor when you
confugure X?
If you havn't tried that, try it! You just say "no" when you are asked if you
want a virtual monitor, larger then your screen.

I am uneasy not having a boot disk. The problem is taht, instead of a normal
floppy disk I have an LS-120. All the scheems for making boot disk that I have
seen request to format the diskette doomed to be used as boot disk.
So, I'd need to know
1 is it really necessary to fomat the diskette?

Yes:
1 (easiest) just keep it like this, but make a symbolic link to it :
ln -s/mnt/DOS_hda1 /win

(i.e. the fonts already present in the window partition).
Everything works agreably fine, except for a bizarre side effect: the menu bar,
bookmarks, location and navigation toolbar fonts of Netscape Navigator, as well
