That's wrong. It must be failing to stop them for whatever reason,
that's why you'd see those repeated "Shutting down..." messages without
the "Need to start..." (or similar)

My backup is an FM tuner for live radio, and a Freeview PVR for listen
again. Falls down a bit due to having to plan in advance, but it means
things I regularly use listen again for I just set to record on Freeview
as well.

I run a couple of pc's, 3 Bluesound devices + 3 SB's on the same network
(not at the same time though) and all devices except my SBT's run Tidal
OK.

BBC main problems is due to an URL change nothing to do with SSL etc.
Other BBC problem with Extra is due to people having very old (2011)
systems - nothing new/changed just people tried to revert to Extra and
found their system is too old..
