Hi Donna,
Your pledge was for the MCT Fund (microbial challenge test).
Unfortunately, I got swamped, didn't get useful information and never
got back to the group with an update. No one has sent any money yet,
and, as I promised, shouldn't until we get specific agreement on how the

Okay, Bob, I can certainly understand why noone will really want to be
making that decision for me. Since it looks like we are way over the mark
on the MCT fund, I hereby rescind my pledge, and I will send Jim and Reid
each $10 immediately.

As the instigator of the MCT idea, and having inherited the
responsibility to track the pledges, my policy is the

Reid and Jim, send them a check now. They'll appreciate
it. If you want to stick with the microbial test, you can
do that too. It's your choice. If you drop out of the MCT
Fund, just let me know.

Hi Ho Silver Away! (sorry, couldn't resist )
There's a lot of haggling going on here about the use of MCT funds.
Personally, I have no qualms who uses my ten bucks as long as it gets
used for the "good of all". I prefer it to be used as originally

By the way, I'm still catching up on old e-mails.

Bob,
I only passed the list off to you because had I assumed that it was
essentially complete. We have in fact had a few more pledges over the
past week or so, one of which you have already added to the list.

I see that Doug has nominated me to maintain the list of
commitments going forward. I liked it better when he was
doing it, but OK, I'll keep and publish the list from today
on. I will also contact people once we have an agreed upon
lab test and protocol.

I have been slow to pledge any money because I didn't see the groups
effort as proceeding in a logical manner. Before an MCT can be
performed we must decide what we are going to test with and what we are
going to test it on.

bjs,
None taken. I am as eager to get on with this as anyone. While we're
waiting for Bob Wells to provide more details on the MCT we could begin
preparing for it, as we've discussed before, by benchmarking and testing
the CS sample that we would use. My copy has been deleted
