in the signature which is pretty to be thought about and no link related to 
the virus recognition by microsoft.
Please be careful with forwarding such mails, before spredding threads about 
viruses, make sure the personal datas of the one forwarding You this, is not 
beeing disclosed as that can be a real vulnerability for his/her addressbook 
and computer.
Till realistic prooves, I would qualify this warning  as fake which has 
nothing to do with the sender's good intentions.

Well well, let me put it  this way, I will forget just now the ironical hint 
of west given to me for free for which I deeply thank You.
As a psychologist, I had the opportunity to study animal psychology long 
enough to know horses have been tried out for blind people, well, 
unfortunately in west and USA, what to do, they have been somehow quicker. I 
have grown up myself with horses, in an environment where they were free and 
not trained for anything else but field works.
Up to an extend, horses do work perfect for blind people, but I don't wish 
my enemies to face a scared horse where it has no limits on running and 
putting everything and anything down. Then perhaps would be a kind of a 
fascinating show to see a horse dashing through fruits venders, food stalls 
and clothes stands. As big as it looks, a horse can be very very easily 
scared by certain factors coming from sideways where we know it can not see 
properly anyway.
And there the research  had stopped being taken for good, especially in a 
city with lots of population and extreme traffic crowd.
The personal experience with animals, where I must admit horses are 
exceedingly intelligent, has nothing to do with the capacity and/or 
vulnerability of a particular creature in guiding a blind. On top, as You 
all know, we are both blind and we both move with a stick which has no 
vibrations devises attached, we don't have obstacles detecting glasses and 
still we do manage our best, which may not exclude a guide dog if Mahendra 
hadn't been fearful towards dogs and I would be able to be born again to 
manage accepting one in my flat. :-)

Idea of guide horse is not so far fetched or ridiculous as is thought.
Merely because nobody in the west has tried it does not render it absurd.

I believe with some innovation and use of GPS etc. a guide horse at least 
for commuting on the road is not immpossible.

Of course, indoor navigation cannot be undertaken...

Anyway, just as info, for paralyses, there are other kind of dogs, called 
therapy dogs with totally different requiered skills. I used to work with 
such dogs with elderly and wheelchair users, as therapist.
Good luck and let us know how it works, yes, Mumbai is definitely 
challenging for a guide dog together with it's  owner, please, do keep us 
informed.

Yes, she did say that I will have to go to Mumbai for the pairing process.
She has an organisation known as Canines Can Care where the entire
process will take place.
They have many skilled and efficient trainers who train the dogs there.
So, she  is not merely a private trainer.
She also told me that they have already supplied a guide dog to a
woman who has paralysis.

Well, I didn't know that Dr. Nitin Sule has done this to so many 
blind

people.
I have spoken with him many times, and he seems to be such a nice
person.
This is really shocking!

Shirin Merchant says that she will be able to train and provide a
guide dog to me within a few months.
But the only issue is that she says that the cost of training a 
guide

dog would be very, very high.
She also told me that some corporate houses might be willing to 
help,

so the cost would get a bit reduced.

People all over the world have to face the same problems that are
associated with using a guide dog.
Just saying that it will not work in India is not a solution.
20 years ago, even JAWS and all other screen readers were not used 
by

anyone in India.
Today, we find that almost every visually impaired person,  who has 
a

computer, uses JAWS.
We have to fight for our rights.
Why should visually impaired people in India not enjoy the 
privileges

that are enjoyed by visually impaired people all over the world?

It is like that, not knowing about England, but in Austria, first, one does 
not have street dogs, and I mean it, not a single one! Busses and 
underground/trams/trains are assured with low step to climb, so a guide dog 
can manage easily.
On top, communication with a dog, especially with a guide one on the road, 
can turn into a big issue if anything happens and the dog was distracted by 
someone else, which means, it is  forbidden for children and/or grown ups to 
communicate with a guide dog on the road, unless emergency situations.
Not to mention, the hygeen level a dog requiers, especially if living 
indoors is very very costly, by all means and I am sure this increases still 
when it comes to a country with a summer climate like India.

   Sir,
That is a button which establish the highest value, after which it will give
a signal. EG: if U set it at 110 and your BP is higher, the devise will emit
a warning, that Your values have gone over that standard pre-set.
Now, depending on Your age and/if any BP issue, U can set it as per Your
requirement. I would suggest U set that on 180, because that is a pretty
high value anyway, and, if ever the device shows more  while measuring, get
to doctor.

some time i run on them, in the evening in order not to miss, the

Naturally have tried that first, but it gives end effect uninstall error, 
and, for Avast, it doesn't seem unusual as per google results where there 
are thousands complains. Therefore their removing tool, which, to turn the 
issue even more beautiful for jaws users, works only on safe mode.

Hello,
A slitely strange matter with my charging laptop is happening, so, when I look 
the battery status in system tray, it shows 57% plugged inn, not charging. If I 
plugg it out the battery percentage shows lower and lower. Plugged it inn 
again, it stays on the same percentage and does not go less, which, I guess, 
means that the cable is ok so long on power, the battery percentage staies the 
same.
Where can the problem be?

Anyone please can tell me, how I can insert my facebook link in a text I want

Not much educational purposes U would be able to see  achieved  due to 
Dialogue in the Dark either. Business is good, fun is great, and blinds have 
a job, thats the concept behind, which is not bad at all. Let us close our 
ears and get sensibilised towards the deffs or stop our brain from work to 
see how is to be mentally disable, what exactly we can do about those 
people, if all this tries would work? More donations, because is terrible 
not to hear? More compassion, because is hard not to be able to think?

relating to disabilities also.
Value of a blind person pursuing daily tasks is of course there, but what

In gmail, there is an obtion of "basic html" for screanreader users, try to 
activate that, its a link. Otherwise, I strongly recommand one of the e-mail

[AI] Opening the address book in windows mail

Hi there,

Anyone can throw a little light in how I can see my address book in windows 
mail? When using the ctrl +shift + c to open it, it stays a while on "not 
responding" mode and then it disappears. Was trying to open it from where is 
stored but with the same results.

Right, that worked. But this I have to do manually each time I guess, not 
that this is a big issue but, is there no possibility to set in such a way 
that it starts with windows? Putting it in start up didn't work here.

There is a kind of strange window in my computer, which, when inn, makes my 
jaws silent. Whatever I press it will just not do anything. The only thing it 
works, is the insert plus t combination, which, when pressed, says "task

About the monitor I will also like to know. Now coming to the internet 
graphics yes, u can do it from the jaws options itself. While on the window 
of Internet explorer, open the config with insert plus 6, go in the menu 
with alt , right arrow choose set options, go down to graphics and symbols, 
enter and select whatever suits u. Confirm with apply/ok and save when 
prompted on exit.

Try going with the links list into "mail obtions". Switch your yahoo view 
into the classical one before all. Unfortunately, yahoo has lot of its 
obtion links in a clickable form, meaning, U might have to surf through the

I do not know why, on my laptop (del), all the sounds, including Jaws are 
plaied interrupted. Its really bothering, although not big breaks, about a few 
seconds only, but still it feels as if the sound card is "shivering". Same

Well, if you can manage employers' shocked face while seeing you, trying to 
make you feel horrible, just because they didn't know before that you are 
blind, I think is ok not to specify it. On the other hand, most of us have 
studied in schools for blind or visually impaired people, how is one 
supposed to avoid writing it? I am personally for writing it, even if the 
perspective is bit limited. If they do not want blind people amongst their 
employees', they will surely manage not to get you, with or without your 
specification in the c v. I doubt hiding it really brings much but contrary.

My personal experience is that not mentioning the disability in 
CV/Resume

Whenever I am trying to access my cd/dvds, my computer is jumping in the 
burning wizard. It is independent whether I am doing with the right click or 
open option in windows itself. Any idea about how can I correct it in order to 
be able to view the files written on either cds or dvds? Mentioning I am having

Dear friends,
Whenever I am trying to install my AVG new version, at the end of 
instalation, this message appears.

Local machine: installation failed
   Installation:
   Error: Action failed for file _AVG8_avgwdsvc.exe: stopping 
service
   The service did not respond to the start or control request in a 
timely fashion.


Can anyone tell me what this means and how to solve it? I badly need to 
update, as, after first of december, for AVG 8 there will be no update 
available.

[AI] DVD driver

Friends,
Whenever I want to access my dvd driver, it jumps directly into burning 
process, so I can't see the content of a cd or dvd. This happens when I press 
enter, open or explore, was also trying with the double left click, its always 
the same, so please, do give me a clue in how to configure it in such a way 
that, when I press enter on it, to show me the content of the cd/dvd.

if you use outlook express:
go to message rule,
and create a rule saying move messages straight to the particular folder,

It is from Real player. Go to options in real player, from the tools menu 
and somewhere there, there is a checkbox u have to unselect, about what to 
be shown at start up. Unfortunately I am not able to tell u exactly where in 
the options list u find this, but once u r there, u can surely make out.

Hi,
This display is actually working through Jaws drivers only, alone, without a 
screanreader can not. So far, what all jaws speaks, it is shown on the 
display in form of Braille written text, so that, u can move easier from a 
line or a word to another, without going with the keys or arrows through the 
whole thing to find the word or sign u need to modify.
