Assistance Needed: Creating User List for Targeted Campaigns

2024-04-01 Thread OIC Team Innovacx

Dear Team,

I hope this email finds you well. We are reaching out to seek guidance on
creating a user list for targeted campaigns within our Google Ads account.

Specifically, we aim to generate a user list containing Google User IDs for
one of our websites where the Google tag has been deployed. We are
currently collecting user IDs based on visits, which are identifiable
through the _ga tag format, such as "_ga GA1.1.1712535827.1695211927".

Our objective is to utilize this user list to effectively target audiences
during our campaign runs. We believe that by leveraging this data, we can
enhance the precision and relevance of our advertisements, ultimately
driving better results for our campaigns.

Could you please provide us with guidance on the process of creating and
implementing this user list within our Google Ads account? Any assistance
or insights you can offer would be greatly appreciated and immensely
valuable to us.

Thank you very much for your attention to this matter. We look forward to
your prompt response and support.

Thank you,

However, we have yet to receive any response. Can you please help us to

Seeking Assistance on Triggering Email for Failed Payments in Google

2023-12-04 Thread Echelonn Team

Hi there,

I'm looking for advice on how to set up an automated system to send email
notifications when a payment failure occurs in a Google Ads account. It
appears that the Google Ads Scripts environment does not directly offer
access to billing or payment status information.

My questions are:

   - Is there a way within Google Ads Scripts or another Google API to
   detect payment failures?
   - Can anyone recommend best practices or tools for monitoring Google Ads
   account billing statuses, particularly concerning failed payments?
   - Are there third-party integrations that could facilitate this kind of
   functionality?

Any guidance, tips, or experiences shared would be greatly appreciated as I
navigate this challenge.

Thank you for your help!

Re: [KeywordPlanService.GenerateHistoricalMetrics]About avg_monthly_searches when specifying a period

2022-08-05 Thread team AD-kwd
Hi Sherwin,

Thank you for your contact.

As mentioned above, we are already using the HistoricalMetricsOptions
function.
The problem this time is that when I specify a date, the average monthly
search volume (avg_monthly_searches) for that time period is incorrectly
populated with results.
I have shared detailed evidence regarding this matter with Mr. Yasar, so I
would appreciate it if you could check it.
 * If it is better to re-acquire the evidence, we will acquire and share
the latest results of the API version and the screen version.

Re: [KeywordPlanService.GenerateHistoricalMetrics]About avg_monthly_searches when specifying a period

2022-07-06 Thread team AD-kwd
Thank you for your reply.

The period was specified in year_month_range.

To give a specific example, for example, when searching for the word
"東京タワー" with a period of 2020/06-2021/05,
monthly average search volume for screen version: 165,000
Monthly average search volume for API version(*avg_monthly_searches*):
301,000
Will be returned.All of these are targeted in Japan.
* The value of 301,000 for the API version is the same as the monthly
average search volume value for the last 12months(2022/06-2021/05).

[Supplementary information]
When you search for the word "東京タワー" by setting the period of
2020/06-2021/05 with the API, the same value as the screen version will be
returned for the search volume (*monthly_search_volumes*) of each month.

[KeywordPlanService.GenerateHistoricalMetrics]About avg_monthly_searches when specifying a period

2022-07-05 Thread team AD-kwd
Hi team,
When calling KeywordPlanServiceGapicClient#generateHistoricalMetrics, you
specified a past date in the parameter year_month_range.

https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v11/KeywordPlanHistoricalMetrics
As a response, monthly_search_volumes was set to the volume for the
specified period, but avg_monthly_searches was set to the average monthly
search volume for the last 12 months.

Is there a way to get the average monthly search volume for the period set
in the parameter instead of the average monthly volume for the last 12
months?

I am sorry to trouble you, but I appreciate your support.

Re: UNEXPECTED_INTERNAL_API_ERROR

2022-02-24 Thread Outleads Team
Noted about the request ID, we were unaware of the sensitive nature of this
field.

We are aware of the Ads API as well as the sunset schedule. We're working
tirelessly on migrating our software to the new API but we were counting on
the AdWords API to be functional until the sunset date, especially since
the client in question is one of the world's most well-known companies.

Until we're ready to redirect the request to the Ads API, is there anything
else that could be done?

JSON return from Google Ads API is malformed

2022-01-20 Thread IMM Analytics Team
Hi, I am getting a malformed json after making a successful call to the
API. The return json has the entire Body section in quotes - see the images
attached. Do I need to alter my request or should I just handle this with
text manipulation first, then read the file as a json after?

Error while making an API call

2020-06-03 Thread Team Jellyfish

Hello Team,

We have received an Internal API error while fetching shared library lists
from AdWords using API.
We also re-tried the request 3 times, but it didn't worked.

Can you please investigate and let us know the root cause behind this.

Thanks

Adjust Bidding Options for Video Campaigns

2020-03-20 Thread Kasper Team
I tried to update CPV in Ad Group for Video Campaigns but look like Google
Ads API still doesn't support it.
Is there any other way to accomplish this?

This feature has been requested multiple times however no timeline has been
provided.

Any of the following things would work for us:
1) Adjusting Ad Group CPV
2) Modifying Location Bid adjustments for Video Campaigns

Anyone found a way to do this?

Maximum Conversions Bid Strategy Not Updating in Google Ads

2020-01-30 Thread Team Velocity
Hi,

I am trying to update the bid strategies from the C# code.
I am able to update the "MANUAL CPC", "TARGET CPA" and "TARGET SPEND". But
when I try to update the "MAXIMIZE CONVERSIONS".
It is not updating into the Google Ads for any campaign.
I am not getting any error or exception in response.
here is my implemented code: can anyone please help and let me know what is
the missing/wrong here?

List operations = new List();
CampaignServiceClient campaignService =
client.GetService(Services.V1.CampaignService);
Campaign campaign = new Campaign
{
Id = adCampaignId,
ResourceName = ResourceNames.Campaign(clientId,
adCampaignId),

};
if (isSearchAdsRequest)
{
campaign.NetworkSettings = new NetworkSettings
{
TargetContentNetwork = false,
TargetGoogleSearch = true,
TargetSearchNetwork = false,
TargetPartnerSearchNetwork = false
};
}
switch (adCampaign.BidStrategy.ToUpper())
{
case BiddingStrategyAdwordsAPI.MAXIMIZE_CONVERSIONS:
campaign.BiddingStrategyType =
BiddingStrategyType.MaximizeConversions;
campaign.MaximizeConversions = new
MaximizeConversions();
break;
}
operations.Add(new CampaignOperation
{
Update = campaign,
UpdateMask = FieldMasks.AllSetFieldsOf(campaign)

});

try
{
MutateCampaignsResponse response = await
campaignService.MutateCampaignsAsync(clientId.ToString(),
operations.ToArray());
}

Thanks

Help requested with OperationAccessDenied.ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED error on `budgetId`

2019-11-12 Thread Integrations Team

Hi there,

I'm reaching out on behalf of Channable, a tool that is used for generating
ads.

Recently we started having issues for 2 clients when they tried adding new
campaigns. This is the specific error response:

```
 OrderedDict([('errorList',
   OrderedDict([('errors',
 OrderedDict([('@xmlns:xsi',
'http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance'),
  ('@xsi:type',
   'OperationAccessDenied'),
  ('fieldPath',
'operations[148].operand.budget.budgetId'),
  ('fieldPathElements',
   [OrderedDict([('field',
  'operations'),
 ('index', '148')]),
OrderedDict([('field',
  'operand')]),
OrderedDict([('field', 'budget')]),
OrderedDict([('field',
  'budgetId')])]),
  ('trigger', '6597787339'),
  ('errorString',
'OperationAccessDenied.ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED'),
  ('ApiError.Type',
   'OperationAccessDenied'),
  ('reason',
   'ACTION_NOT_PERMITTED')]))])),
  ('index', '148')])
```

It seems we are successfully creating budgets, for which we receive a
budget id back from the api. However, on the following campaign operation
we receive the error above, which makes it look like we are not supplying a
valid budgetId, while it matches the budgetId we get from the api.

This is our budget operation for which we use the BatchJobService:

```
 {
"operand": {
  "name": "BIJ-BE-HEER-ONG-PR-TXT-NB-merk-(h)-target-ROAS budget",
  "amount": {
"microAmount": 4000
  },
  "status": "ENABLED",
  "budgetId": -1,
  "deliveryMethod": "ACCELERATED",
  "isExplicitlyShared": false
},
"operator": "ADD",
"xsi_type": "BudgetOperation"
  }
```

This is the campaign operation, which we send after the budget operation:
```
 {
"operand": {
  "id": -2,
  "name": "BIJ-BE-HEER-ONG-PR-TXT-NB-merk_le_labo-(h)-target-ROAS",
  "budget": {
"budgetId": -1
  },
  "status": "ENABLED",
  "settings": [
{
  "xsi_type": "GeoTargetTypeSetting",
  "negativeGeoTargetType": "DONT_CARE",
  "positiveGeoTargetType": "DONT_CARE"
}
  ],
  "frequencyCap": {
"level": "ADGROUP",
"timeUnit": "DAY",
"impressions": "5"
  },
  "networkSetting": {
"targetGoogleSearch": "true",
"targetSearchNetwork": "false",
"targetContentNetwork": "false",
"targetPartnerSearchNetwork": "false"
  },
  "advertisingChannelType": "SEARCH",
  "biddingStrategyConfiguration": {
"biddingScheme": {
  "xsi_type": "ManualCpcBiddingScheme",
  "enhancedCpcEnabled": "false"
},
"biddingStrategyType": "MANUAL_CPC"
  }
},
"operator": "ADD",
"xsi_type": "CampaignOperation"
  }
```

We don't see discrepancies in what we are doing for other customers, which
are using the same code but are able to create campaigns. Is there maybe
some setting in the customer account? We were able to add campaigns for
this customer in the past. This started happening on November 6th.

Hope someone can help us out!

Kind regards,
Ciel

Old budget in new campaign

2019-11-06 Thread Ichiba Team
How I can access budgets, created throw AdWords API methods in Google Ads
API calls?
If budget created in Google Ads API, it can be selected by

resource_name = 'customers/4380668749/campaignBudgets/6595135879'

ga_service = client.get_service('GoogleAdsService', version='v2')
query = ('SELECT campaign_budget.id, campaign_budget.name, '
 'campaign_budget.resource_name FROM campaign_budget WHERE '
 'campaign_budget.resource_name = "{}"'.format(resource_name))

But for budgets created in Adwords API v201809 it can not be selected.
Query result is empty.
Direct API call also fails with error "Resource not found".

resource_name = 'customers/4380668749/campaignBudgets/6595135879'

campaign_service = client.get_service('CampaignBudgetService', version='v2')
budget = campaign_service.get_campaign_budget(resource_name)

Thank you for replying my message.

I found this page and this is saying that we are possible to indicate name
like campaign_audience_view.resource_name
<https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v2/campaign_audience_view#campaign_audience_viewresource_name>
.
https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/fields/v2/campaign_audience_view

But, this page is saying Beta, so we couldn't indicate name now, right?

Audience list usage and API

2019-06-26 Thread Global Team Blue
Hi. AdwordsUserListService exposes a lot but not all data I need. Am I
correct saying that 'size: youtube', 'size: gmail campaign', and creation
date are not available like in the audience manager UI?

Also where is 'Usage Status' as mentioned here:
https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/7558048?hl=en  ?  Is this no
longer in the UI? Is it exposed in the API anywhere? How can I tell what
accounts are actually using my lists?

Thanks!

Re: How do I get the recent 'Change History' from Adwords API

2019-06-07 Thread Morphio Team
Hey there,

CustomerSyncService
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201702/CustomerSyncService#get>
 only
sends back the ID of the ad, criterion, and feed that is changed. How can
we get for instance what the ad was before and after the change? Or, what
was the budget before and after the change?

Thanks,

Re: Problem about rate exceeded error

2019-01-15 Thread 'Dhanya Sundararaju (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

In AdWords API, we do not have a fixed Queries per second limit. Instead,
the rate limits can fluctuate based on different variables, including
server load. Please refer this section
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/rate-limits#top_of_page>
of
guide for better clarity. If you are hitting Rate exceeded error with
ACCOUNT scope rate limit, you will need to slow down and take control as
elaborated in this section
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/rate-limits#slow_down>
of
the guide. If you are getting DEVELOPER scope rate limit, it implies that
the daily limit of requests has been reached that is, with Basic access,
you will be able to make only 1000 report downloads and 10,000 operations
in a day. To execute an unlimited number of operations and report requests
per day, you can apply for Standard access
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/access-levels#standard_access>
by
filling out the application form as mentioned in this section
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/access-levels#applying_for_standard_access>
 of
the guide. Please note that the Account rate limits
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/rate-limits> will
still apply.

Regards,
Dhanya, AdWords API Team

Hi Chiwan,

Unfortunately, creation and management of ad variations is currently not
supported in AdWords API. The systemManagedEntitySource field is read only
and its only use is for you to be able to identify the experimental ads
created by the ad variations feature (you may also refer here

Re: Performance Report with Proximity

2019-01-14 Thread 'Peter Oliquino (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Florian,

I understand that you have tried generating the Criteria Performance report
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/criteria-performance-report>
 and
have filtered it by CriteriaType
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/criteria-performance-report#criteriatype>
 as
stated in this guide
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/location-targeting#geo_performance_reporting>.

This also seems the only possible way, however, you may note that the said
report is a single attribution type and that means AdWords will only return
the criterion which it deems most relevant and associate all the statistics
into that specific criterion only.

That being said, there is also a chance that you may not retrieve the
information specific to your proximity criterion.

Best regards,
Peter

Hi,

The operation might not be permitted to UniversalAppCampaign. In order to
further investigate the issue, could you provide your clientCustomerId and
the complete SOAP request and response logs generated after the API
request? Kindly reply via the *Reply privately to author*.

Best regards,

Re: Correct Usage of the ExtensionFeedItem Class

2019-01-14 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Peter,

You may use the FeedItemTargetService.get()
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/FeedItemTargetService#get>
 method
instead to retrieve the details of your FeedItemAdGroupTarget
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/FeedItemTargetService.FeedItemAdGroupTarget>.

This object includes the adGroupId
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/FeedItemTargetService.FeedItemAdGroupTarget#adgroupid>
 of
your target ad group.

Let me know if this is what you are looking for.

Thanks and regards,

Re: Get readout from AdGroupCriterionService selector

2019-01-14 Thread 'Bharani Cherukuri (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello,

The bids can be set at the adgroup level or the adgroup criterion levels.
If you're setting the bids at the AdGroup level, you may use the
AdGroupService.mutate() operation by selecting the
BiddingStrategyConfiguration
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/AdGroupService.BiddingStrategyConfiguration.html>
 to
set the bid. Please check this code sample
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/bidding#setting_bids> as
a reference. If you're setting the bids at the AdGroup criterion level, you
may use the AdGroupCriterionService.mutate()
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/AdGroupCriterionService#mutate>
 operation.
The BiddingStrategyId and BiddingStrategyName are fields available for
Shared bidding strategies. Since you're using Target CPA, you will not have
values for these fields. Also, I was able to check the keywords in this
campaign and see that there is no bid value set which explains why you're
seeing no bid values. You may refer to this code sample
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/samples/java/basic-operations#update-a-keyword>
 as
a reference. Code samples in other languages can be found here
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/clientlibraries>. You may
also refer to this guide
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/bidding#overriding_strategy_settings>
 on
how to override strategy settings.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/latest/TargetingIdeaService#get>
 is
700. That said, for stats, you can request maximum 700 seed keywords at a
time. For more information please refer to the guide
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/limits#targeting-idea>
on
limits. But in order to make API calls for 1000 keywords, you will need to
split the request into as many API calls.

Could you please enable the logging and share the request and response logs
for the get operation along with the client customer id so that I can
troubleshoot the issue? Based on the client library being used, you can
check the README file for instructions to enable logging. You can use the
'Reply privately to author' option while responding.

Thanks,
Milind, AdWords API Team.

Re: Logging issue for Adwords

2019-01-14 Thread 'Peter Oliquino (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

This seems to be specific to the client library and the client library
owners are better equipped in assisting you on this. This said, and in
order to provide you the right link where you can post your concern, could
you provide the name of the client library you are using?

Re: How to get the keyword which triggered the phone call?

2019-01-14 Thread 'Peter Oliquino (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi,

You can use the Placeholder Feed Item Report
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/placeholder-feed-item-report>
 and
filter using the Criteria
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/placeholder-feed-item-report#criteria>
 and
the PlaceholderType
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/placeholder-feed-item-report#placeholdertype>
 fields
to retrieve your metrics for a specific *extension* and *keyword text*
combination.
Let me know if this helps.

Also, for any new queries as this is already an old thread, I would
recommend that you create a new thread for better tracking.

Thanks and regards,

Re: Impressions number is less than clicks number in Search Query Performance report.

2019-01-14 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Zhang,

Yes, this is an expected behavior. Impression
<https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/6320?hl=en> is counted each
time your ad appears on Google or the Google Network, it's counted as one
impression, while a Click
<https://support.google.com/adwords/express/answer/2569608?hl=en> is
counted when someone tries to reach your site by clicking your ad, even if
the person doesn't reach your site or if your site is temporarily
unavailable.

That said, an ad can have one impression and at the same time multiple
clicks.

To be more sure, can you send the report definition
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/reporting#create_a_report_definition>
 via *Reply privately to author* so we can further check?

Re: Google Ads API - How to get subaccounts under another account

2019-01-13 Thread 'Dannison Yao (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Stiven,

To get the accessible accounts for a user, you can use
CustomerService.ListAccessibleCustomers
<https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/google.ads.googleads.v0.services#google.ads.googleads.v0.services.CustomerService>
 which
returns resource names of customers directly accessible by the user

Re: How can I see all Quotas and Limits

2019-01-13 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Stiven,

The RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED
<https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/common-errors#resource_exhausted>
 error
that you encountered means that a system frequency limit has been exceeded
due to too many requests in a short period of time. This being said, I
would suggest you to set up short delays between requests or combine more
operations in fewer requests. Currently, the Google Ads API doesn't have a
documentation for limits since it is still in beta. However, you could find
in this guide
<https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/common-errors> the
common errors available in the API which you might encounter. Also, this
guide <https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/troubleshooting> for
more information on troubleshooting.

With regards to retrieving the account id and the account name in one API I
call, I'm afraid it is not currently possible as the service for retrieving
the list of customers under one's account and retrieving of customer
information are two separate services.

Thanks and regards,
Luis
Google Ads API Team

Re: Adding labels on keywords

2019-01-11 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello,

You will first need to use the LabelService
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/LabelService>
to
create the label with the specific text. In your case with the date when
you updated the max CPC as the text. Once that is done, you can use the
mutateLabels() method of the AdGroupService
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/AdGroupService>
 or
the AdGroupCriterionService
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/AdGroupCriterionService>
 depending
on at which level you want to apply the label. Please check the guide on

Re: How do I create an audience using the new Google Ads API?

2019-01-11 Thread 'Dhanya Sundararaju (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Jon,

Sorry for the delay as I was checking with my team on this. Instead, you
will need to create an Info object (e.g., CrmBasedUserListInfo) and set it
to the UserList object via the setCrmBasedUserList() method.

  CrmBasedUserListInfo userList = CrmBasedUserListInfo.newBuilder()
  .setUploadKeyType(CustomerMatchUploadKeyType.CONTACT_INFO)
  .build();

  UserList newUserList = UserList.newBuilder()
  .setName(StringValue.of("Oler user list test 1"))
  .setCrmBasedUserList(userList)
  .build();

  UserListOperation userListOperation = UserListOperation.newBuilder()
  .setCreate(newUserList)
  .build();

That is, steps similar toAddExpandedTextAds
<https://www.google.com/url?q=https%3A%2F%2Fgithub.com%2Fgoogleads%2Fgoogle-ads-java%2Fblob%2Fmaster%2Fgoogle-ads-examples%2Fsrc%2Fmain%2Fjava%2Fcom%2Fgoogle%2Fads%2Fgoogleads%2Fexamples%2Fbasicoperations%2FAddExpandedTextAds.java%23L109=D=1=AFQjCNHx77dGqN13a5BLa36pnp3net4GyA>
 example.

Re: Experiencing Mismatch in the Google Adwords UI and adwords API data (even after aggregating the data at the same level)

2019-01-09 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Sandhya,

The AdWords API
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/start> is more
likely equivalent to Google Ads UI <https://accounts.google.com/>. You must
use the Ads Manager API <https://developers.google.com/ad-manager/api/start>
instead
if this is specific to data from Google Ads Manager UI
<https://admanager.google.com/home/?gclid=CICIo-PG4t8CFRf-jgodpFMFww>,
could you confirm? If so, then I would recommend that you post your concern
in this link
<https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/google-doubleclick-for-publishers-api>
instead
as we they are more equipped in assisting you on this.

Hi Austin,

Unfortunately, I cannot provide you a list of campaigns or campaign
sub-types that are not supported in the AdWords API. However, if you have a
campaign type in mind, you could inform me with the details so I could
check and verify on our end if this is supported or not. You may refer to

Re: TextAdRecommendation Request

2019-01-09 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Stiven,

Recommendations help you improve your campaigns by introducing new and
relevant features, getting more out of your budget by improving bids,
keywords and ads, and increasing the overall performance and efficiency of
your campaigns. You can read this guide
<https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/3416396> for more
information.

The one that you retrieved was the resource name of the recommendation
which has the format of
"customers//recommendations/". Then, you
could use that recommendation_id if you want to apply that recommendation
to your account. You may check this guide
<https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/recommendations#applying_a_recommendation>
 for
more details on applying a recommendation.

Hi Roberto,

I am a colleague of Sreelakshmi, allow me to provide support for your
concern. The error UNAUTHORIZED_USER
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/common-errors#OfflineConversionError.UNAUTHORIZED_USER>
 is
encountered when you are managing a click that does not belong to your
account.

You could download the Click Performance Report
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/click-performance-report>
 to
get all GCLIDs associated to your account. If the result does return the
GCLID you are referencing to, this means that it does not belong to your
account. You may refer to the validation rules
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/conversion-tracking#validation_rules>
 to
prevent errors during your upload.

Re: heterogeneous operands withing a batchjoboperation

2019-01-08 Thread 'Bharani Cherukuri (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello Michele,

Your input parameters looks fine to me. The FILE_FORMAT_ERROR
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/BatchJobService.BatchJobProcessingError.Reason>
 occurs
when the entire batch upload request is not formed correctly or does not
meet the upload requirements listed here
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/batch-jobs#upload_requirements>.

Could you please enable the logging
<https://github.com/googleads/googleads-python-lib#how-do-i-log-soap-interactions>
 and
share the SOAP logs of the upload operation? That will help in
troubleshooting the issue. You can *reply privately to author* while
sharing the logs.

Re: ~3x discrepancy between TrafficEstimatorService and Keyword Planner (Not using a test account)

2019-01-08 Thread 'Nadine Sundquist (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Greetings!

The new Google Ads API matches more with the new UI that was released. The
Keyword
Planning services
<https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/release-notes#keyword_planning>

were added to the release in November. The API is still in Beta so I
wouldn't recommend it for production use, yet, but we're encouraging people
to start coding towards the new API. I don't have an exact date yet as to
when we'll release for production use, but we are working as quickly as we
can towards that goal.

Cheers,
Nadine, Google Ads API Team

Re: Negative Keywords Report

2019-01-08 Thread 'Bharani Cherukuri (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hello,

In addition to what Zweitze mentioned, here are some additional details:
You may use the Keywords Performance Report
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/keywords-performance-report>
 with
the selector field including the IsNegative
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/reports/keywords-performance-report#isnegative>
 field
which will return if the keyword is negative. This report type will return
all the keywords in the account with one row per keyword. Please find below
the sample report query for this:

__rdquery: SELECT CampaignId,CampaignName, AdGroupId,Criteria, IsNegative
FROM KEYWORDS_PERFORMANCE_REPORT WHERE IsNegative IN ["True"]

Please make sure that you set the includeZeroImpressions to true as
negative keywords will not have any metrics. You will be able to pull the
keywords filtering based on the specific Campaign or AdGroup. Can you give
this a try and let me know if you have any other questions?

Bharani, AdWords API Team

Re: StringRuleItem encoding

2019-01-07 Thread 'Luis Xander Talag (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi

There's no need to encode the value of your StringRuleItem
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/v201809/AdwordsUserListService.StringRuleItem>
 when
creating RuleBasedUserList
<https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/remarketing#remarketing_with_rule-based_user_lists>.

However, you may take note that for URL/Referrer URL, value can not contain
illegal URL chars such as: "()'\"\t". Also, yes, you could follow the link
that you provided to fix the common formatting issue if you're using custom
parameters.

Thanks and regards,

Re: Can offline conversion tracking be a permissable use of the Adwords API?

2019-01-07 Thread 'Peter Oliquino (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API and Google Ads API Forum
Hi Kyle,

Conversion tracking and/or uploading of offline conversions is a feature of
AdWords API. When it comes to its permissible use in your account,
specifically with regards to issue being encountered on developer token, I
would recommend that you contact the Compliance Team through this link
<https://services.google.com/fb/forms/apicontact/> instead as the issue
might be specific to required access level your account need to obtain
which will require the Compliance Team's assessment and approval.

Best regards,
Jaki
