[arr] I like this one...

2009-08-02 Thread divyaishu
http://www.musicindiaonline.com/n/i/top_stories/3036/

Double Oscar winner AR Rahman's life has become super-hectic after his
international win. This Chennai-based music composer who has been dividing his
time between Chennai, Mumbai, London and Los Angeles, has now begun to miss the
time he used to spend at home with his wife and children. So Rahman took a
totally unscheduled break from his assignments in LA and was back in Chennai on
Friday for two weeks.

Confirming the news, Rahman said, The kids were always there with me when I
worked regularly from home in Chennai. Now I get to spend less time with them.
Even now when I'm here in Chennai, work for my pending Hindi films like Blue
has to be taken care of. I've come at a time when I cannot afford to take a
break. My first Hollywood soundtrack for Couples Retreat has to be ready
because the film is releasing on October 6.

Not that Rahman is complaining. He is used to being rushed. I always liked to
work at my own pace and that hasn't changed. But now the volume and profile of
the workload is so eclectic that I need to find more time to focus on the
individual assignments more carefully. Yeah, it's a tough balancing act. But
I'm enjoying myself. After I finish the soundtrack of Couples Retreat, which is
80 per cent complete, I've an artistes' album coming up. It is one of my
biggest international challenges. It's too early to talk about it. But yes, it
will involve musicians from all over the world and I'll be composing the music.
Recently, I also got to work with the John Williams Orchestra and that was a
dream-come-true. I guess my dreams are coming true, gushed Rahman.

Rahman wants all his children to be adept at music. In fact, Rahman's son,
Ameen, who has sung in Couples Retreat, attends Rahman's music academy in
Chennai. Commenting on Ameen's early start, Rahman said, It's just a small
part of a song in Couples Retreat. We found his voice to be suitable for it.
And that's it. My son is certainly not embarking on a singing career at that
age. He's just a child. He has so many things to do and achieve before he
decides on a career. I think he should be allowed to do what he likes. The
final call will be his. No peer pressure.

Rahman returns to LA in the second week of August. Tease him about being Dr
Rahman and he says, You will have to say the `Doctor' thrice, referring to
the three doctorates that he has received since the Oscar triumph.

[arr] Had MJ and ARR come together again...

2009-06-28 Thread divyaishu
ARR and MJ had performed in Munich almost a decade ago.

Post Jai Ho, they intended to collaborate!

What a legacy would it have been, should they've had a chance to materialise
the thought! An honour for India for seeing two legends coming together again
and in a big way!

  25th June, 2009

I am shocked at the untimely passing away of Michael Jackson, one of the
  greatest musicians of our time.
MJ, for most of our generation was an icon who made uncompromising music.
He pushed the milestone of Pop music to unbelievable levels through the 80s
and 90s. I am yet to find an artist with that energy, perfection and vision.
I met him personally after the Oscars in Los Angeles and we vibed very
well. He said that he loved India and the Indian people. He said he heard
good things about me and he was praising the chord progression of Jai Ho's
chorus. He was bursting with energy and told me that every dance move he
did, came from his soul and did a five second stunning example. It was like a
  lightning strike :)
He was concerned about developmental issues such as Global Warming and
about wars and its damages to the human community. He asked me to compose a
unity anthem on the likes of We are the World for him. I nodded in awe
  ...!
He introduced me to his three lovely bright kids. The kids told him I
love you dad and he replied I love you more as a proud father.
I wished him well for his concerts and he said God Bless you.
After hearing the shocking news I wished it was another rumor which would
fade away soon. It took me time to believe that he is no more.
I remember, my late sound engineer Sridhar had brought me a video of the
premiere of Remember the Time when I was recording Kadal Rojave for my
first movie Roja. Seeing it inspired all of us that afternoon.
Now, there is no Sridhar and no Jackson anymore. I hope all of us value
people's existence more and respect them when they are alive.
LIFE IS SHORT...! Artists and their art live for ever. Jai Ho, MJ !
We love you for your music, regardless of all the controversies!

Dear Apurva,

Unless I read that interview of Pankaj myself, I wouldn't be able to comment.

In December, I myself interviewed Pankaj Udhas and he was in full praise of
ARR. He said that ARR is one music director/composer he admires a lot and would
want to work with him!

I do not take time out to figure how I could post a copy of that inteview I
did, but it has been on my mind for long now that I must be quoting his words
for this group here. But your note just pushed me that inch to write it for ya

Also Rahman doesnot need to prove anything by sell of albums.. With huge

I think both you guys are right. It is really hard to choose the best of all
times. R D Burman was and still a legend. ARR, the living legend,
revolutionised and popularised Indian film music all around the world,
something RDBurman necessarily did not achieve in his lifetime. Each of these
geniuses have been hailed the best during their times. And a comparison may not
be just, rather there will be a tie-up between the two.

[arr] And who's the copycat?

2008-12-31 Thread divyaishu
This is one issue that led me to have an arguement with someone I
know of older generation. It is actually a very sensitive talk
because at times the notes can be coincidental.

Take the film Vaada. That song by Himesh Reshammiya where Amisha
Patel is featured in a black saree, perhaps called Maula and
perhaps the first song in the movie is an utter replication of what
Rahman offered in Tazheeb as Sabak Aisa. Take that song from
Krish...Dil na liya and you'd know what a blunder Rajesh Roshan
committed as he tried to make it sound like Pukar's Key Sera Sera.
It was a disgusting sound.

I don't see a single song that's been conscientious replication by
Rahman. Whenever he did draw inspiration he also made it explicit.
One example is Ringa Ringa akin to Choli ke Peeche song. And if
someone still wanted to call him a copycat, then the rest of the
composers are even bigger species of the copycat galore. In fact the
rest of the music directors have copied ARR many a times. So much so
that I draw inspiration kinda talk has become a fashionable defense
for them. Unfortunately a majority of those unintelligent audiences
do not realise who's copied, who hasn't from whom.

At the end of the day ARR still stands out.

JTYJN has bagged the No.1 spot for 2008's best albums. Ghajini comes at

I actually see a very stiff compeition between Ghajini and JTYJN. It's
been really hard to choose the better one between the two. And so if I
had to chose amongst them if Yuvraaj was contesting too.

Ghajini ranking after Singh is King (frowning a bit)...I really don't
think so. Ghajini has got a standard much above that of what Pritam
rendered in Singh is King. Seriously. It's not all that great. Yes,
Pritam's Lambi Judai that is standing at spot 9 is better off than
Singh is King and that should have got a top spot, in the top 5 slots.

Ah, the so called deliberate hit.

Surely, other than ARR, it's Pritam who is doing a fab job these days.

The other average to above-average scores were Jaane Tu…Ya Jaane

   Five top music directors
The ratings of the top composers have not changed since the year

Easily the most mass-oriented, sometimes admittedly unoriginal, he

  Singh Is Kinng.
A.R. Rahman did his best with musically-conscious filmmakers
like
Subhash Ghai (Yuvvraaj) and Ashutosh Gowariker (Jodhaa Akbar),
besides a hit score in Jaane Tu…, while the track Guzarish from
Ghajini has also become a rage.
The choosy Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy came up trumps with a mass rock
score
in Rock On!! but were clearly out of sync in Thoda Pyaar Thoda

Himesh Reshammiya, now restricted musically to his own acting

vocals
(as detractors saw it) and his `mass' orientation followed by the
failure of the film diverted attention from the merit in his
compositions. The same happened with his Tamil film,
Dasavathaaram.
But Vishal-Shekhar, whose creative graph was booming from the
2006
Taxi No. 9-2-1-1 to the early 2008 Tashan, went on a creative

And
Sajid-Wajid and Salim-Sulaiman are waiting in the wings.
   Five top singers
Sonu Niigaam continued to be the most respected male singer, in
a
league of his own, though he has become very selective. He was
even
responsible for the only non-film album of merit this year,
Classically Mild. Udit Narayan was around in just a few films, but
made a mark with his songs in Black And White, Mere Baap Pehle Aap
  and above all Tashan.
The regular top five male singers in alphabetical order again
were
KK, Kailash Kher, Kunal Ganjawala, Shaan and Sukhwinder Singh. The
female ranking would be led by Alka Yagnik (in selective but super
fettle in Kismat Konnection, Love Story 2050, Mere Baap Pehle Aap
and
Yuvvraaj), Mahalakshmi Iyer, Shilpa Rao, Shreya Ghoshal and
Sunidhi
  Chauhan.
   Five top lyricists
Nothing much changed on the lyrical scenario either - with
Sameer
remaining the busiest, Gulzar and Javed Akhtar the most respected
and
Prasoon Joshi as the most fulfilling, if low-key, writer. The
fifth
place clearly goes to both Abbas Tyrewala (Jaane Tu…), though he
is
unlikely to write for other filmmakers and also Swanand Kirkire

[arr] ARR is a perennial phenomenon!

2008-12-25 Thread divyaishu
I can recall very faintly, it is perhaps VS, like Pritam, who are of
the same opinion that JTYJN is the music of the year.

It's really nice of these guys to appreciate others. But what is the
following men's attitude towards ARR?

Ismail Durbar: This guy actually sobbed and had tears rolling down
his cheeks when an ARR musical was being screened. Now was
that khushee ke aansoo or was that neighbour's envy?

Himesh Reshammiya: Dude, you did admit at Coffee with Karan what a
big admirer of ARR you are! But whatever happened to your I'm the
best attitude? Wanting to keep a low profile after all that
controversial bragging?

Sukhwinder Singh: I remember him doing some silly Bhangra and low-
budget private albums before he bagged an opportunity for Dil Se. He
was overtly unsophisticated and his voice didn't sound all that great
then. And he did some unimpressive anchoring too on DD channels for
music countdowns at that time. He might never want to look back to
those days :) because if he did, he'd be embarrassed :) In terms of
his admiration for ARR, it's been on and off. But the sense of
gratitude seems to have drained down somewhere specially after he
made his score for Chak De.

Jatin-Lalit: These brothers have been having a fight, they've even
split. Why would you want them to take time out appreciating the rest?

Aadesh Shrivastav: He's always delivered lightweight music. And
failed to engrave a big mark of his own. No wonder why he wouldn't
want to appreciate somebody else's work.

And last but not the least...guys, you ought not forget him...it is
Anu Malik...now spelt Aanu Malik...one guy who garnered so much fan-
following. I remember enjoying his concert at the Centaur in Mumbai
in 1994 Xmas season. At the same time the television sets were hit by
ARR's Muqabla Muqabla song. And I was so bowled over by ARR. I had
wanted to dance to this song again and again and again (and I still
do). ARR had arrived and Anu Malik couldn't help but say, I don't
understand this guy's music. :)

Well, well, well, everybody has his veritable time come into play.
But an ARR is a perennial phenomenon.

Having mentioned these songs, I forgot talking about Noor-un-ala-noor

[arr] Pakistani site on Ghajini music !

2008-12-24 Thread divyaishu
This is what a Pakistani site have to say of Ghajini's music and
ofcourse of ARR !

Year 2008 will indeed go down as one of the most historic one for
the lovers of quality film music as it will be remembered as the
year when Bollywood's most revered and
talented and extremely choosy music director, of this era, A. R.
Rahman bestowed upon his fans four superlative albums. Starting with
Ashutosh Gowariker's magnum-opus JODHAA AKBAR followed by ADA - A
WAY OF LIFE, Aamir Khan's JAANE TU... YA JAANE NA and the most
recent one, Subhash Ghai's YUVVRAAJ. Needless to add that all these
albums were classy and a hit with the patrons of good quality music,
barring ADA- A WAY OF LIFE (commercially). His long term association
with perfectionist actor, Aamir Khan has always brought out the best
in Rahman (RANGEELA, LAGAAN, MANGAL PANDEY and RANG DE BASANTI) and
naturally expectations assume humungous proportions as his last
album, GHAJINI, makes it to the stands this year itself. The Tamil
version of GHAJINI had some rocking music by the top music director
of South India, Harris Jayaraj. And with music maestro, A.R.Rahman
at the helm this time around, with help in the lyrical department
from the new age lyricist, the intellectually brilliant Prasoon
Joshi (their RDB was path breaking), things can only get better. So,
without wasting time let us check out the GHAJINI audio.

Sonu Nigam's cupid struck humming and mandolin strums
commence 'Guzarish' as he serenades the listeners, transporting them
into a beautiful make belief romantic world, through this stunningly
striking love ballad. Much like the signature tune of Rahman's last
romantic track from the album, YUVVRAAJ ('Tu Meri Dost Hai') this
love ballad too relies heavily on Sonu's haunting background
hummings to create the subtle love effect. Here though, Sonu Nigam
is the guest vocalist and is present only for the humming part,
which is incorporated in the beginning, in between and also in the
end. But don't be disappointed as Rahman's new favourite, Javed Ali
('Jashn-E-Bahara') holds fort quite strongly with his crackling
strong vocals. Javed Ali is a revelation here, as in 'Jashn-E-
Bahara' his vocals were quite base and deep to match Hrithik while
here Javed's superb voice modulations are in sync with Aamir's
perfect and smooth ones. Only his diction presents a minor problem
which needs to be corrected. This propositioning number becomes
super special because of Prasoon Joshi's lovely lyrics which are
simple yet they are awesome, as there cannot be a better word than
the urdu word, 'guzarish', meaning request to appear polite and
polished . 'Bas ek haan ki guzarish, Phir hogi khushiyon ki barish,
Tu meri adhuri pyaas pyaas, Tu aa gayi man ko raas raas, Ab to tu aa
ja paas paas, Hai guzarish.' A proposal which cannot be turned down
at any cost, such is the effect of the number. So all you guys in
love go ahead, it's our 'guzarish' to propose to your beloved with
this number this Valentine day and you sure will succeed. An
excellent, in fact, a gem of a track from the maestro.

Suzanne is the female vocalist who has been entrusted with the next
number, 'Aye Bachchu' . And the number is just right for Suzanne, as
she has become a sort of an icon for the songs that require full of
attitude, westernized singing. But we are forced to say that if this
number was by Pritam, one would have rated it as passable but this
comes from Rahman, the musical genius and so, it disappoints.
Nothing, but the best is expected of the maestro. May be in his
defense we can say that the song is a situational one but it is a
let down nevertheless, specially after a cracker of a start in form
of 'Guzarish'. Prasoon Joshi's lyrics though situational and apt
still disappoint. Once again it's Prasoon, the lyricist of RANG DE
BASANTI and TAARE ZAMEEN PAR, so obviously the level of expectancy
is much higher. The recent number on this line that we heard
was 'Oop Oop Cha' (DRONA) and 'Soniya'(KIDNAP).

Thankfully, Rahman and Prasoon are back to their best with the next
track, 'Kaise Mujhe', a classy romantic composition that has a
mesmerizing effect on the listeners. The beauty of the number lies
in its very smooth, slow paced melody and the lovely musical
arrangements in the background. The superb use of 'sitar', piano'
lend an air of romance, a number that can be effectively be used in
a candlelight dinner by a couple in love or even in ballroom
dancing. This is true blue Rahman, the Rahman we all love and
revere. And his counterpart, Prasoon Joshi who has always been a
superb support too is in full flow. His poetic prowess is diligently
brought to the fore through this lovely love ballad. 'Kaise mujhe
tum mil gayee, Kismat pe aaye na yakeen' No 'tukbandi' (rhyming
words), here. Of course the two singers Benny Dayal (after a
splendid JAANE TU... and YUVVRAAJ) and Shreya Ghoshal need to be

Re: [ARR] Sonu Nigam Interview on Rediff

2008-12-23 Thread divyaishu
I am surprised at the interviewer. Actually Yuvvraaj songs weren't
all that bad to be declared lost with the movie. If I had to speak
of myself I liked all the songs except Mastam. And as a generic
statement, people loved Dost and Tu Muskura, that is to say atleast 2
songs in the album that the average audiences might want to hum
repeatedly.

Sonu Nigam says the songs weren't promoted well. I think it was poor
picturization. Shano Shano must have had a great choreography. When I
first heard the song, I thought it must have had some incredibly fast
dance sequences, unlike what was portrayed. But when one still
reverts to the audio version, it does sound different, it sounds foot-
tapping, sounds just apt for a dance floor, buddy! (And you wouldn't
expect this sort of thumping outcome from any composer other than ARR
for a song like Shano!)

The bottomline: a poor presentation by Subhash Ghai.

 Excerpts

*How did the industry people react to this change in you?*

People, who wanted to work with me, were obviously disturbed by my
unavailability. Others were rejoicing as they were getting more
work. I
don't have to worry about how people reacted. I need to worry about
myself
and my contribution to the industry.

Honestly, when people hear too much of you, they stop appreciating
your
work. On the other hand, when they get less of you, they start
missing you.
For example, I just hummed a part in *Guzarish* from
 *Ghajini*http://www.rediff.com/movies/ghajini08.html.
I haven't sung the song. But the kind of reviews I got just for my
humming
is amazing. And this is because they have not been hearing enough
of me. If
they had heard me through the songs of *Ghajini*, they wouldn't
have spoken
 about my humming.

*Is it true that you had sung Guzarish a long time ago?*

Yes. I sang the song about two and a half years ago, with different
lyrics.
When they changed the lyrics and asked me to sing, I wasn't
available. I was
in New Jersey for my son's birth.

So they called Javed Ali and I think he has done an awesome job.
The song
became his. But out of respect for me, A R Rahman kept the humming
part
 intact.

 *Did that upset you?*

No. If I was an insecure person, it would have. It was meant to be
Javed's
song, and so it is. Everybody has the right to earn their bread and
butter.
There is no point cribbing about something that was not meant for
you.

*What do you think went wrong with Yuvvraaj's music? Why, do you
think, the
film and music did not do well?*

*Yuvvraaj* had great songs. My favourite was *Dost*. I wish I was
given that
song to sing. I sang three songs from the film. I think they were
not
promoted well. If they were, things would have been different.

*Mastam Mastam* came out when the film released and since the film
didn't do
well, the song got lost. *Dil Ka Sikka* is out now, and the film is
out of
theatres. A lot depends on the fate of the film. If it is promoted
well, it
would have done well -- like *Nagada* from *Jab We Met*.

[arr] Jaane Tu....the movie

2008-12-23 Thread divyaishu
I watched Jaane Tu...eventually and only yesterday. Folks, sorry, I
wonder why the movie was such a mega-hit. Other than Rahman's music
there was nothing worth admiring about it. Very immature, very freaky
storyline, I was disimpressed that Naseeruddin Shah opted for such a
role, and disappointed Aamir Khan could produce a film with this
storyline. A movie like A Wednesday is what is in dearth, really.
Something that can teach the youth to be more responsible not only as
citizens, but also as good human beings. You don't want be an
irresponsible teenager even at 20!

And where was Jaane Tu...ya jaane na song sung by Sukhwinder and also
the one in female version featured? I waited throughout to watch that
number alone!

[arr] ARR and Sufi music

2008-12-22 Thread divyaishu
I am astonished that each time I am contemplating a prayer to the
Almighty, specially while praying earnestly, I'm invariably singing a
Sufiana song of Rahman! The most recent one being Khwaja Mere
Khwaja...apart from the fact that I'd been a follower of Khwaja ji
even before the song was released.

It's amzing the gamut of Sufi music ARR has rendered; Piya Haji
Ali, Al Maddat Maula, and Khwaja: each song beautiful in its own
way and getting me eccstatic in praise of the Almighty...the first one
bearing a lot of rhythm, the second being extremely intense as if it is
fervent prayer and the Khwaja song raising an vehement urge to
culminate in the love of God. And praise be to each of these Sufi
Saints and praise be to ARR for giving us such soulful music.

[arr] Re: Milliblog Annual Music Round-up 2008

2008-12-17 Thread divyaishu
Well, in my opinion, the Hindi countdown in this Milliblog round-up
has been done very poorly. This just goes to whoever did the ratings
has rather a poor sense of music, no offense please, but he really
does! Now, he didn't even include 'Tu hi to meri dost hai' which
rules over 'Tu muskura' ! And where's Ghajin's 'Behka' song that is
being aired almost always?

I can't talk about the ratings in other languages that this round-up
shows, as I don't listen to much of those songs.

  Milliblog Annual Music Round-up 2008

Annual music round-ups are getting increasingly difficult. What
 should they
be ideally based on? The number of times a song is played? By
whom?
 Number
of CDs sold? The Milliblog annual round-up is comparatively
 simpler - this
is a list of songs, across the four languages (and Indipop) I
track
 music
in, that I seem to fondly recall at the end of the year, with
 gratitude that
they filled my life with a lot of (musical) joy.

But I need to be honest here. I do not listen to every piece of
 music in
Telugu and Kannada, but I do listen to almost everything that is
 released in
Hindi and Tamil, besides Indipop. Malayalam music is something I
 need to get
active in 2009, to make this blog and this list more
comprehensive.
 Also, as
you may have already noted, my musical interests are very, very
composer-driven and composer-specific. Singers and lyricists are
 secondary,
to me personally, so please don't hold that against this list!
I'm
 quite
sure that there are many more tracks and soundtracks that you
may
 have in
mind and think that they deserved a place in this post - I sure
 would love
to listen to your opinions…bring them on, in the comments.

*As always, the lists here are in order of preference…no random
 lists in
  Milliblog!*

  *Hindi*
Hindi film music was heady, innovative and lively in 2008. While
 Rock On is
my unrivaled favorite as the most preferred song of the year, as
an
 overall
soundtrack, I have to hand it out to Amit Trivedi's striking
debut
 film
score for Aamir. The Rock On soundtrack is a close no. 2 and the
under-appreciated Tashan is my choice for third spot. Its a pity
 the movie
dragged this soundtrack down. But, beyond these scores, the
composer
 (s) who
made incredible progress this year were Vishal Shekhar. Even in
an
 album
like Dostana or De Taali, that doesn't feature in the top 10 (De
 Taali
narrowly missed the list and I had listed 'Aaj main boond hoon'
at
 no. 11!),
this duo was hyper innovative. The expert blend of appealing
music
 with a
lovely dose of imaginative sounds this year is what led me to
crown
 them as
the composer(s) of the year. Last year's crown champ, Pritam,
 despite my
constant volley of plagiarism accusation features at no. 2 and
no.
 9 - he
deserves it. Jannat was actually at no. 4 at the list of top
OSTs!
 Rahman,
fresh from the musical high of Slumdog Millionaire OST, has 3
 tracks in the
list, though, in my opinion, his music was short of the
 extraordinary
brilliance expected out of him each time, in 2008.

*Composer(s) of the year:* Vishal Shekhar

  *Top 3 Hindi OSTs*
  01. Aamir (*Amit Trivedi*)
  02. Rock On (*Shankar Ehsaan Loy*)
  03. Tashan (*Vishal Shekhar*)

*Top 10 Hindi songs of 2008*
  01. Rock On (*Rock On, Shankar Ehsaan Loy*)
  02. Zara si (*Jannat, Pritam*)
  03. Khwaja mere khwaja (*Jodha Akbar, A R Rahman*)
  04. Phas gaya (*Aamir, Amit Trivedi*)
  05. Kabhi kabhi (*Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, A R Rahman*)
  06. Mar jawan (*Fashion, Salim Sulaiman*)
  07. Dil haara (*Tashan, Vishal Shekhar*)
  08. Aahista aahista (*Bachna Ae Haseeno, Vishal Shekhar*)
  09. Aai paapi (*Kismat Konnection, Pritam*)
  10. Tu muskura (*Yuvvraaj, A R Rahman*)

  *Tamil*
The most striking thing about Tamil film music in 2008 is the
 constant
infusion of new talent. There are 3 debutants in the top 10 -
James
Vasandhan, SS Kumaran and Selvaganesh - and this is an
incredible
 sign. To
be fair, James Vasandhan's sole ticket to fame was one song in
Subramaniyapuram, while SS Kumaran's Poo was a great soundtrack,
 overall.
That is reason enough to give his Poo soundtrack no. 2 in the
Top 3
 OSTs
list. No. 1 is of course Harris' Vaaranam Aayiram - its a pity
that
 he's not
going to work with Gautam Menon again. Their last outing
together
 is a
complete knock-out. The addition of GV Prakash Kumar's Anandha
 Thaandavam at
No. 3 may surprise many, but, this young composer's music in the
 film is
extremely addictive beyond the facade of being simply catchy!
 Yuvan, wit 2
tracks in the top 10 had a reasonably good year, but Vidyasagar
 deserves the
composer of the year tag. Even non-top 10 tracks in films like
 Mahesh,
Saranya Matrum Palar or Pirivom Sandhippom had overall enjoyable
 music that
  was

[arr] Yuvvraaj and Ghajini - mindblowing music

2008-11-25 Thread divyaishu
Hello everyone!

It's such a guilty feeling to have been away from the group for a
while now, it's been only a week and I have been catching up with all
the messages on the group.

And very unlike me, I perhaps caught up with Yuvvraaj's music much
later than most of you must have heard them for the 100th time,
hahaha !

And just to tell you, I didn't want to lose time listening to Ghajini
songs. And I did that just moments ago...those who are ahead of me in
these song tracks must pardon me...

My verdict: the songs (both Yuvvraaj and Ghajini)...what to say...I
have no words...they are just... they have just swept me off my
feet...now I'm lattoo over these tracks. ARR is afterall ARR :)

Re: [arr] Why God loves ARR so much !!!!

2008-11-25 Thread divyaishu
How funny...this is precisely what I was asking myself today, Why
is ARR God's such favourite? is what I asked myself.

Well, he's a good guy, no wonder. He doesn't lose his cool, he
doesn't let insecurities take a toll on him. I think he simply
surrenders to the Almighty, and there he is !

And could be the Guardian Angels, and on a bit of scruplous note, he
has his father's blessings from Heaven...ARR is still delivering and
he will deliver the best of all times...this time he wins an Oscar :)

[arr] To vouch for A.R.Rahman at Madame Tussads!

2007-12-06 Thread divyaishu
Dear all A.R.Rahman fans,

We have had Amitabh Bachan, SRK, and Aishwarya Rai at London's Madame
Tussads Wax Museum.

I think it is time we get A.R.Rahman, the living legend's, wax statue
standing proud there !

The more the number of people vouching for the cause, the more the
possibility of getting to see him among the ace statues there.

So please, forward the message to as many Rahmaniacs as possible.

Thanks,
