Re: AIE and Reconciliaiton job import issues
Hi, For AIE exchanges I would recommend to export the exchanges to server using Export Configuration Utility. There one more option of export-import AIE_Configuration.arx file. We need to modify this .arx file before import on target server. You can refer BMC Atrium Integration Engine 7604 user guide (page 170 ) for more information. HTH -- Regards, Dhanshree Vyom Labs Pvt. I have exported both the AIE configuration and the Reconciliation jobs to .ARX files. I am having issues importing them into my production environment using Data Import. When I run the import against the AIE ARX file, I only get the CI Class Mappings imported. I do not get my Data Exchanges, Relationship Class or AR System Form Mappings imported. When I run the import of the Reconciliation jobs, I get nothing. has anybody imported these files into 7.6.04 and what tricks did you use to get everything over? Thanks! Re: Group notification stopped for Incident
There is a way to trick the system into doing this but it adds an administration overhead. You can create a dummy people record and put that record in the support group. Then, you can put the email address as the address of an email distribution list that has the members of that support group. Now, when you assign the incident to that dummy user, the entire group gets the email. This is not very efficient or that useful in my opinion unless you wanted to notify people in the distro list that were not in the support group. If I may ask, what's the business case for wanting the feature you are asking about? You can try handling this by setting up auto assignment rules and not have the help desk assign at all. You can also put in an active link that says something like: if the Owner Assigned Group = Helpdesk, and Assigned Group is not null and does not equal Helpdesk and assignee is not null, then throw a message on submit. Re: Group notification stopped for Incident
I would say that this would better be handled by user training. Just train the agents to assign to the group first and save, then assign to the individual and save. The other thing would be to improve the day to day workflow of the agents so that they all regularly check for assigned tickets. In this case you would have to make sure that agents are marked unavailable if they are on leave (for example) so that tickets can't be assigned to them by mistake. My thought is that the breakdown in the business process should be resolved on that side rather than by introducing new code. -Rick ___ Rick Westbrock QMX Support Services From: Action Request System discussion list(ARSList) [mailto:arslist@ARSLIST.ORG] On Behalf Of Tauf Chowdhury Sent: Tuesday, June 11, 2013 2:42 AM To: arslist@ARSLIST.ORG Subject: Re: Group notification stopped for Incident ** You can try handling this by setting up auto assignment rules and not have the help desk assign at all. Form mode color
Hi. All of our applications are home grown and we are moving them to the web. In the RUT, Search and New/Modify screens can be set to different colors to differentiate them but I do not see that option or way to do that on the web. The only indication of the mode the screen is in on the web is the small print in the upper left hand corner of the screen that states, New, Modify or Search. Has anyone encountered this and have a resolution? ARServer 7.6.4 sp3 MS-SQL 2008 Thank you in advance. Work Order Console issue
Hi All, I am attempting to create Work Orders on a scheduled basis. I have a form that holds the company, work to be done and when the Work Order is to be created. Then I have an escalation that creates the Work Order. This part works fine and the Work Order is displayed in the Overview Console. If I created the Work Order for the Operating Company it also appears in the Work Order Console. If I create the Work Order for a Customer Company the WO does not appear in the WO Console. I have printed out the work orders and compared field by field and can't find any significant difference other than the Assignee Groups (112) which may have the company group number or some random group number. In the case of the Operating Company I got a random number, Customer Companies were hit and miss on company group number or random. Any thoughts ideas would greatly be appreciated. Re: Running a Report from the User Tool using workflow - solved
Not only does the user need permissions to the form and fields that the report is pulling from, but they must also have rights to the Report form. I went one more step and made sure that the user had rights to the attachment pool in the Report form, and to the attachment line itself. Once I did that, the AL fired, ran over and got the report, did the select statement for the fields in the report, and displayed the report on the screen, which the user can print by pressing the print button. Many many thanks to everyone that helped! The next step is to build a loop so that the user can select mulitple table entries and hit the AL one time. Any ideas to get me started on that? Re: OT:Log scrubber question
Movement on this got pushed back in favor of other work, but I think the end result is a very useful tool. http://cdn.tabtonic.com/ttanon-1.1.zip It's straightforward to use and when I get around to putting up a web page up for it I'll have downloads for Mac/Linux as well. There is an option for automatically replacing usernames. It will grab the usernames as it processes the logs, then process them a second time once all the usernames have been identified. It will do search/replace terms from a CSV file containing two columns that must be named TERM and REPLACEMENT It will also simply censor any words identified in a plain text file (replace any words contained in the file with *s) When it replaces user names, it replaces them with something with the same length - so Demo would be replaced with u002 whereas Mary Manager would be replaced with user0034. This is to keep the structure of the file intact for whatever log analysis tool you want to use. It will do single file replacement or process all files within a given directory. Options can be saved and loaded into the GUI. The GUI will automatically load the last saved configuration on load. The GUI will also give you the command line syntax for you if you just want to run a batch file to process a directory. You can run this from a thumb drive. (A JRE is necessary, but those are installed everywhere these days) Either double click anonymize.exe or run the command line version: usage: anoncmd [options] -c fileconfiguration file -helpprint this message and exit -i file or directory input file or directory -o file or directory output file or directory -p Replace discovered email addresses, phone numbers, and social security numbers with *s -r mapfile.csv Automatically Replace Users -t termfile.csvfile containing private terms (CSV file with two columns: TERM, REPLACEMENT) -w wordfile.txtCensor words (separated by spaces or carriage retuns) On Fri, May 31, 2013 at 4:32 AM, Peter Joran ppjo...@gmail.com wrote: ** Very nice! It's pretty straight forward - it needs an input file, an output file, and a private terms file. The private terms file is a file containing words to be censored. They can be space separated, line separated or both. It will read the input file, replace all private terms with *s and it will also replace phone numbers, social security numbers, and email addresses with *s. Re: Form Properties in 8.1 Dev Studio
That's quite some change from the Dev Studio. Wonder why they mixed it with where you would navigate to different views to - as it is that line looks pretty cluttered if you have like 45 views on a form, which might sound like not many forms may have that many views, until you install all your language packs. I'm not totally sure I agree that's a place to hold the 'Definitions' information. It may have been most appropriate to have it along with the Properties window which traditionally is on the right on a DS. Re: Web Service filter error
Yes that would be the way to resolve the problem if your JAVA install directories have changed. The reason you are getting the authentication box is not because of that. It's probably because you have permissions specified for that WSDL and it's not Public - at least that would be my guess why you are getting that - I could be wrong.
