ARSList Issue User Cache 7.6.04 Issue
Good morning, I'm having trouble searching the ARSlist, every time I submit a Search I getting the following error - Network Error (tcp_error) A communication error occurred: The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time. I have been getting this error for several weeks now and I can not perform any search. And here is the 2nd issue. I have a specific user who is constantly getting Caught Exception errors. We have swapped the users system and is still getting Caught Exception errors. The user is Web only, Internet Explorer 7, 8 and 9. I read several years ago about clearing or rebuilding the AR User cache? I'm not sure the exact terminology as I can't search the ARSList. This is not the same as the Mid-tier Cache. The Mid-Tier cache has been cleared numerous times, as well as the Users Preference and Application Preference. The only thing I have not done was completely delete the User account, hopefully someone can point me to the correct Cache. Re: BMC Analytics Report Question - Report of Multiple Associations to Almost All of the ITSM Apps
David, Thanks for the info, however you didn't explain why BOXI would be very difficult to use in creating such a report. My question was around BMC's Analytics, I did not ask what product is the best or what product should I buy. I was looking for Analytic experts to help me determine how difficult this type of report would be or if anyone has created a similar report in Analytics. Thanks, Andre -- ** BOXI could do it but would be very difficult. You should take a look at using Yurbi (http://www.yurbi.com). You could build those relationships and get the report pretty easy via one of our AnyDB apps. You can check out this video for a high level of that process - http://yurbi.tv/index.php?p=263 We have an out of the box connection to Remedy that is much easy than Analytics, you can learn more about that here - http://yurbi.tv/index.php?p=216 But due to the complexity I would recommend you try to achieve this query from the out of the box Yurbi for BMC Remedy app but rather build it with AnyDB. The cool thing is with Yurbi you could tie the report from Remedy with other data sources in your environment that may have supporting info for your managemenet, like a ERP, accounting, inventory, etc, system. thanks, David On Fri, Mar 30, 2012 at 11:22 AM, Andre Hughes neo1...@yahoo.com wrote: Hello, I haven't used Analytics and I need to know if a particular report is even possible to be generated. Take a look at the ar.ini file and see if there are any values set to 18. I don't see any reference to number of pages. HPD:IncidentInterface_Create field TemplateID2 (303022900)
Hello, I am trying to find out what the purpose is for field TemplateID2 (303022900) on the form HPD:IncidentInterface_Create. Does anyone know what this field is for and what valid values would be used for this field? Moving URL location in email. ARS 7.5 ITSM 7.6
Hello, I am trying to find out if it is possible to move the URL that is inserted into the ootb e-mail when a support group gets assigned an Incident, Task, etc. The URL is placed in the very top of the email and I need to move it to the bottom. I have looked at NTE:NTS:Email_200_SystemNT and I disabled the Web URL check box and attempted to add in $HOMEURL$. However it returns a blank entry in the e-mail (Defaul web and e-mail paths are set properly). Where does this URL get inserted into the e-mail? Can it be moved? Or do I have to insert a hard coded URL path into the SYS:Notification Messages form? Thanks in advance, Andre ___ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org attend wwrug10 www.wwrug.com ARSlist: Where the Answers Are
Active Link Run If Qualification - Check Users Permissions
Hello All, I am trying to find out the correct Active Link Run IF Qualification. I have created a new Permissions Group via the Group form (Group A). I have added several users to this group. The users also belong to the standard App-Support permissions group for Helpdesk. I need to run new Active Links only for this group; I am however unable to get the right Run-If Qualification for the Active Link to check if the User belongs to the new permission group. What is the correct verbiage to check for a membership to a group? I am using AR server 6.3 with Helpdesk 6. I am trying to restrict a certain group from performing a search on tickets that have been created outside of their CTI. For example Group A is only allowed a CTI of ABC and I don't want Group A to search on CTI DEF, GHI etc... Please help Thanks ___ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at http://www.wwrug.org
Re: Active Link Run If Qualification - Check Users Permissions
I have tried to set the permissions only to Group A in the AL... This did not work... everyone who uses the Helpdesk got the Active Link enforced, hence every group got the restricted search option. I really don't want to do a 2 step process, setting up another field and writing data to it. Isn't there a Run-if Qual that just checks for permissions? There has to be something like (Users group = Group A) How does Remedy do it? On Fri, 22 Sep 2006 11:02:10 -0600, L. J.
