I just bought this game. I read the review posted in the articles room and grabbed it. Apparently, PayPal says 19 EU is equal to $27 and some change, so I hope it is worth it. I have followed the link in my e-mail to get the PC version. Mac and iOS versions will be tested when I can do so. Its downloading at 1.77 MB/S, so it should be here soon! I cant wait! I was going to purchase Shades of Doom 2.0, but Im glad I got this one instead.

Its certainly far, far better than it used to be. 99% of the time you can be left alone quite happily, but when things go wrong I find they really turn to crap. Its no longer at the point it was at however where you could hardly launch without being attacked, or where people ran protection rackets demanding the purchase of licenses to haul asteroids. I also dispute the effectiveness of bounty hunters, on the out of character channel 500 the concensus was they were generally crap against an experienced player.Its perfectly possible for pirate players to use a flight control scanner to tell when someone has left one of the sectors, and from the sector they can often tell if that person is asteroid hauling. This makes asteroid hauling have a slight risk of being attacked with every trip. Throw in how overpowered interdictors are and you can have real problems.Im quite proud of the time I was jumped when roid hauling, I hadnt made myself a t
 arget at all, and while trying to give them the run around in the hopes theyd get bored found myself facing down two battlecruisers, two gunships and a fighter flown by a BC level pilot. It took that much effort to take down a simple unupgraded asteroid hauler with a destroyed laser turret and wormhole drive, plus for half of the time I hadnt any sensors either. That said it doesnt speak well of these players.I honestly think these players are just griefers. In some cases they may profit but in most they simply blow ships out of the sky, I cant help but feel theyre really, really bored on some level. Now some of them in the past have roleplayed bullies as well but the fact they got away without response from the alliances just breaks the immersion for me.

DD, Im serious. It was a combination of whiffing lots of shots with the drone getting quite a few lucky shots and it happened multiple times. I was running a laser pistol with light armour at the time starting from zero damage and I was more or less tied with the drone up to 80 something percent damage, to avoid losing outright I did what I described which was cover pop a repair drone then come out with a detonator. What it would have been like without armour I dont know.That said waiting for high levels of damage is really like pulling teeth, unless the minidrones can be used to repair yourself it takes absolutely forever. If they can be used to repair yourself I dont suppose they can be used to do so while youre in cover.

Exactly Dark, that was precisely how Doom and map editors for the same worked. I agree that multiple levels have real potential but I think interaction between levels beyond those of stairs and the like might make things very awkward for us, especially if it came to looking out of windows to see things where the structure you built may if built in an irregular pattern may block line of sight.I do feel its worth mentioning that floor and ceiling materials while not necessarily important for aesthetics could be important for distinguishment between outdoor and indoor with regards to game mechanics. As an example no wildlife spawning indoors.

Hello,I have some good voice messages send over whatsapp and I want to safe them to my computer.But, I dont find a way to do this.In whatsapp you can click on info on a contact and than choose send conversation via email but then you get just 62 attachments and I need all the messages.I then was thinking to email the last 62 messages, and then delete them and repeat the same process.But, it seems that on IOS it is not possible to delete single messages with voice-over.On the internet I found some programs but none of them are accessible with jaws or nvda.Does someone know a solution for this problem?ThanksRegards

hello, I once had a simmular thing happen to me. I was couriering and seeing one battle croozer waiting for me to launch. I launched, because Id never really been courier hunted before. the moment I was up, the jumpgate had all ready been blockaded and the croozer was after me. Then as I started randomly using the auto pilot to move to completely random coordinates, the fc scanners pulled in 2 more bcs. by the time my auto pilot was down from immobilasation pulses, I switched to manual and there were about 4 battle croozers after me. hell, because they couldnt hit me they somehow managed to be such bad shots that they hit each other! after about half an hour of this, I accedentally moved out of the sector and was in uncharted space. I think there were 6 bcs after me now, and I gave them the runaround for about an hour more and then my computer decided that it chose this very moment to crash on me. heck, if it hadnt crashed, I probably would have gotten them bored
  sooner or later. so I logged back in and was of course stunned and stranded. when I was back on my capital planet kile roxxan commed me and told me that that was his org chasing me down and that they wanted to test me. I mean how shitty is that for a change?

 und yes I can heal myself which is very, very nice though obviously I cant use it while in cover. Just a pity the laser weapons are a little weak. It helps though that now I have the ground points for the double barrel laser pistol.

I disagree defender, both because getting rid of spambots really isnt as bad a task as you think (Ive been doing it myself for about 8 years now), and secondly because there are indeed some very workable audio alternatives. As you pointed out yourself, if webvison can work out captures spambots can which means the graphics and ocr are indeed in favour of not working with that sort of software, even if it didnt come with crappy firefox.Btw, supernova should theoretically work with firefox, or at least it did with past versions, the thing just seems an unstable , badly put together, memory hogging pile of rubbish to me.Either way to get this back on track, has anyone contacted Wikipedia about improving their content regarding audio games? as I said Id appreciate if people looked into doing this one way or another, sinse it seems a dam shame that games like A dar

This review is not a review, BTW its more like a description. Well, as most games from audiogame.it, or every game, too short and easy. If you are expecting hard puzzles to solve, and something more complex, itsnt for ya. Every tgame where it says 5 hours to finish the game or somnething basically it takes 1.5 H or 2, for that high price, really nothing special.

Aspiring sound designer needing programming advice!!

I have recently graduated university with a degree in Audio design and production, with aspirations to break into the industry as a games sound designer, however I am currently faced with a decision in need of a programmers insight. Whilst I am now planning to spend my time working on my sound design reel and begin working on smaller development projects, the company I am working for as my day job has offered me a position and training in either PLC (programmable logic controller) or as a software developer developing in object orientated C# programming. My question is this: from a standpoint of a hiring audio director, would being proficient in either of these types of programming aid my resume and increase my chances of eventually becoming a games sound designer? I understand sound design skills (of course) are paramount, however would either of these skills be relevant within the game industry? I have a fundamental knowledge of C# and my instincts tell me this would be a skill 
 which would be another string to my bow when trying to break into the industry as a sound designer, however I am trying to understand in more detail the relevance skills such as these have to the job as a sound designer as well as how much impact this would have between getting hired or not. To be clear, I do not wish to join the industry as an audio programmer, however I do need to make a decision here as I cant afford to quit my day job in the short term! If there was anyone out there available to shed some light on this I would greatly, greatly appreciate it. Thanks, jbowen

Well based upon inquisitor, I would disagree on time involved and puzzle difficulty, also when you have a game with a hints system then completion time can vary. I believe inquisitor took me four hours to finish, which is okay.@Mico, the problem with rating games on completion time is that you are very much dependent upon game type. rpgs, and other exploration games will have a long completion time due to the explioring and possibly the battles if the turn based battles take a while even if their story is less than an adventure title. similarly, a puzzle game such as inquisitors heartbeat will vary according to how good at mazes the player is. I find the game quite challenging, but that is me. My only objection on price terms in inquisitors heartbeat is that the variety in the game is rather lacking, sinse while the atmsophere is good, there isnt a lot else to listen to whenb lost in the maze, and also
  the instructions could be better organized particularly for the Iphone version, for example the tap middle of the screen doesnt work at all and I physically need to one finger flick to move. Equally I dont know how to bring up the menbu on one occasion even managed to restart the game by mistake.I also will say in adventure game terms Id rather have a game that was possible to finish than one with puzzles so random it was impossible, which is what has put me off playing interactive fiction for quite a while. Ive not tried she noire yet, but I certainly will be getting it in the future along with inquisitor 2.

Your knowledge of c# may make you more enticing to employers because part of designing audio is knowing what sounds you need to design. If you know the basic framework of how a game is programmed, you may be able to make intuitive guesses about what sounds you will need. Still, knowing C# or PLC will not directly help you in making audio, as you probably know. Yeah, Dark is right in the last post. Inquisitors heartbeat simply bored me after a while without anything besides bumping in to every wall like a crazy to find a passage rather to hear it. Why audio game is forcing me to doing the same blind moves like in video games where I must search like aq blind. I want feels the same like everyone who is playing video games. If youll play inquisitor and will everything correctly, you can beat these two chapters really really fast [Plus, Inquisitor 2 seems to be shorter than one].These games contains bugs, many bugs sadly. I found for example one house in inquisitor 2 where I was stuck everytime when I entered that area. These bugs are frustrating and these bugs are taking the fun instead of giving.What is funny, I read reviews of the video game version of inquisitor one where people are saying similar things and sadly, their arent taking really high reviews. Problem with audio version is in puzzles. I hate when game is doing evrything for me, and This one is doing that too often.Sometimes Game just used the item from my inventory on something automatically when I used the object. Most interesting puzzles are solving automatically and I must sit here a
 nd listen for 20 sounds one after another where main character is turning something, pushing etc. These are essential parts of most adventure games as You know, and this is what I am missing. Many of You can disagree ofcourse with this whole post, but as always, my point of view only.

yes, I also learned a lot from the japanese devs about game replay value. And yeah clipboard support could be added possibly, though since a lot of messages are displayed in realtime that might not work out as well. I have a speech history buffer that should serve as a good substitute though, and it allows direct clipboard copying.

Interesting point about inquisitors heartbeat, Id actualy never considdered that the required logic of navigation is forcing everyone into the same position as a vi gamer playing a video game. I will say however there is a flip side to that, sinse sighted people do not! have to engage in that sort of audio logic which makes the game quite unique. AFter all games like papasangre did well precisely on this angle, so on that basis I can see the need for a game like Inquisitors heartbeat where the environment itself, a dark dungeon requires an equal gaming experience for everyone, I just wish the audio had a few extra sounds and items to keep things interesting in the games soundscape. As regards adventure games I agree on plusses in the genre sinse Ive sat with friends and played through broken sword and both monkey island one and two, indeed monkey I have a full game script for secret of monk
 ey island that I sometimes read just for a laugh! . I disagree however that just because you can go streight through a game when you know everything that makes the game automatically too easy. heck, one major cryticism of the first monkey island was that the player needed to spend so much time wondering, and rowing around the various island maps, rather than just going between locations, which took a fair degree of time on its own. The completion time I would estimate based on a person going around, examining everything, and trying lots of different ways to complete the puzzles. I cant speak of bugs as I didnt notice anything too bad in the inquisitor, however inquisitor chapter 2 might require some work on that score. Regarding puzzles though, I disagree that the puzzles are automatica
 lly solved most of the time, unless you use devine help by mistake (which I do admit I managed to do on a couple of occasions, sinse that cross gesture seems a little random).Beware! posible inquisitor spoilage below! do not read on lest your game be sp spoiled! My only problem with some of the puzzles is that there were some portions of the game where it wasnt clear what you actually needed to do to progress. For example when you had kod the librarian, it wasnt clear that you needed to gag and tie him up, so I ended up having to use devine help at that point just to work out what was needed. similarly, there were so many random bits of cloth kicking around that knowing you needed to use the tapestry as a gag was more a matter of trial and error than anything else.I also agree that the section in the cellars with eymerich doing a Devinci code was rather irritating, particularly becaus
 e of the long time I had to spend while eymerich sat and pushed things and worked out what was obviously supposed to be a coplex lock puzzle. A minigame of some sort there, say a trial and error mastermind with sounds wouldnt been much more satisfying. All that being said, I do think inquisitor is an awsome game! I personally enjoyed the puzzles, particularly sinse many of them required me to think more like a blood thirsty, ultra zealot inquisitor than I normally would. Tthat bit in the underground library where Eymerich needs a light to read the books and says I need something that burns like a heretic! in the flames of hell! was hilarious!

hello guys, this is probably one of my most eppic fails in castaways mission 1. so I am playing on the default map and start out by building what I always build when starting out. storehouse, tavern, sawmill and quory to get established. next, I assign jobs and just sit there for a while letting resorces and food come in. then I start a hospital, a butcher shop and then metal production. by the time Ive finished the forge, the goblens are tramping around just about everywhere. i get the barax finished and recruit a few soldiers. its to say that I also built a few houses while this was happening, to enlarge my poppulation. I skip the breadmaking chain and go straight to the textile. when the textile was finished, another round of housing was built, along with the ship. everything was looking really good. lumber and metal bar requirements for the ship had been filled, and cloth was looking good too. should It stay that way? not a chance! I have a huge ammount of meet and
  some vegetables, when suddenly the goblens just up and burn my storehouse! actually, the loss of the storehouse was what caused the game to fail, because as I was trying to build a new one, the delivery of supplies was slowed so dramatically that everyone starved to death. next, I tried closing down all unimportant buildings like the mine, forge and barax, the sawmill and the quory because I didnt need those at this point. still people were starving left and right. so I got completely drastik and shut down every single building I had, including the food generating buildings.it worked and the storehouse was rebuilt but 5 or so people had all ready died of starvation. I reopened all the buildings, but I had gone too far and by that time I didnt have any more peasents. the really laim thing about it was:.a 12: ship, under construction.building details. the construction sight currently contains 50 of 50, lumber, 18 of 18, metal and 20 of 30, cloth. thats h
 ow close I was. just 10 units of cloth and I could be done with the game. just put any suggestions, tipps, tricks, remarks and whatnot in here.

While I understand the fear of powerful ships seems to be common among pilots it hasnt struck me quite yet. Perhaps its because Ive flown around sectors full of them and have yet to encounter one that seriously wants to chase after me, or because they are only manned by one person at the time, or because the overall playing field has changed and now favors the good guys rather than the bad... I honestly dont know. What I do know is that within the past couple of days Ive had more than 5 battlecruisers within firing range and nothing has happened so far. Obviously Ive kept myself alert in the event that something did come up, but for the most part theyre just flying around doing their own thing, sometimes shooting each other, sometimes shooting other people, sometimes just showing off their navigational capabilities.And I go on my merry way, not bothered by any of it. I think swamp sort of gave me that w

I cant keep soloing combat missions and stay interested for long, but salvaging and roid hauling with the risk of the occasional fuzzy doesnt provide much of a challenge either. this is where the occasional BC entering the sector and the possibility 
 of something arising as the result of that become something I can respect to some extent. No, as is the case with anything, its not for everyone, and Im willing to respect that too.

I actually am able to survive the mission now. Ill say that the thing that canged the entire game was the starter I chose. The problem is getting the points. Even once the goblins were driven back and I had more squares to build on, I couldnt build up enough ponits and it was a struggle keeping my people fed. Next time I think I will try and keep the population a bit lower, and get rangers in on the action a bit faster. I had 5 knights before I started making rangers and so after having 5 knights and 5 rangers that was half my settlement used to defend me and I only had like 11 people doing actually important stuff like making food, which slowed me down, and forced me to build tutor houses. Rangers are a lot better for fighting goblins than knights are anyway. I got to tick like 8400, and then everybody suddenly began starving. Im not sure why, I guess hunting trips were taking too long or something. So I was forced to tap into my valuable wine barrels. Wine is s
 uper valuable in this mission because if you can build it up without having to use a lot of it its an easy source of thousands of ponits. I got 2 tomes created also. The food production seems to be where the big bucks are though, and so I have to work on that.

Nicely done Key, it actually sounds like youve improved dramatically since the last time you posted. Im guessing with a few adjustments to your strategy, youll be handing in saved games to get on the high score board. Yujin9091, what is your primary source of food during the mission? Hopefully youve been able to gain a few types of food, but what is the main one youve been relying on? I am just curious.In another thread Dark had a great post that explained the pitfalls of hunting. Hunting starts out fantastic. You get lots of meat and hides in a very short amount of time, but as the forests thin out, you get less and less. The hunters spend more time out hunting, and are more likely to bring home nothing. Players who rely on hunting at the beginning, need to be working toward a replacem
 ent food source so that they can switch (or supplement) it with something else. At the moment Im a fan of vegetable farming, but in the past Ive been a fan of other things. I guess anything will work as long as you plan it out carefully, so find one that works for you.

  discoveries had ended i was in the middle of his discoveries again, with in fact no way out. yes, pressing escape and turning back to the game again, but that didnt help, cause i had to listen to his research of the corpse again. i couldnt enter the square.so i bought it for ios. especially for my iPad, and i finished the game without any trouble. but i spended a few ours to it. perhaps 5 to 6 hours. but i can tell, like the story of she Noire, the story of the inquisitor is worth it too.perhaps micco can write a patch for the mac-book so i can enter the city after going toward the corpse. actually i have payed twice the money for the inquisitor. one time for mac, and the second for ios. and the mac doesnt work in its entirity. and as i said. hopefully micco can write a patch, cause when this doesnt happen it will be a waste of money for the lisence i bought for my mac.this were my oppinions.greetz mike

I updated my Dice Simulator.I replaced the dice images with better ones.The sound is played without interrupting the main thread, this way the interface is responsive during dice announcing.I fixed some bugs with the shake detector / throw on shake.

Well Mike that bug isnt good. I must confess I do sort of wonder sometimes how much time Ticonblu spend hunting for in game bugs, and how much developing new titles, sinse the speed and frequency of their releases is really impressive (especially developing for so many different platforms), but I am sometimes a little concerned as to whether the cracking pace of this release schedule gies the developers as much time as needed to make sure everything in the games works correctly. Still, as I said Im definitely going to buy the rest of their games for Ios, and certainly Ill be writing up entries for the db on their other games as soon as I can.

Yeah @dark: Monkey island 1 is weird but I love Tims games and his fallen company. Humour and fun from MI games is fantastic for me and i am launching from this everytime The bug in the village in first Inquisitor is happening on PC also, what you must to do is press left mouse click to progress. Stupid, but its only one solution and weird solution. These games are reallu bugged and this is sad.

Well, I have gotten to the bedroom in SheNoire and found most everything in there, but when I switched focus away from the game, came back and hit shift to see what I had left to find, it said I had to find items that I had already found. Also, the instructions being given to you as the game progresses rather than all at once is nice, but I have found no way, as of yet, how to save my game and that is very frustrating! If anyone could tell me how to save my game, I would be greatly appreciative!Regarding finding things. I hear a wind noise and my footsteps go from center to left/right kind of without me doing anything, and the wind noise gets lower and higher, lower Im assuming means that the object youre looking for is behind you, if that is indeed what the wind noise is trying to help you locate. Sometimes I think Ive got the idea of how to follow it, but then it doesnt seem like it sometimes. Im just very confused on how to reliably find obje
 cts. Ive only gotten this far because Ive just walked around randomly long enough to find each of the items I needed to. I like the way it makes the story unfold after you find each set of items and also how you have to use some items with others to make new ones. If someone could just help me with reliably finding objects and saving a game, I would definitely consider it worth my money!

KeyIsFull noticed that, using the Smuggled goods starter, he could beat the score I had filled in on all of the high score spots. I have allowed it. Think of it as just a slight adjustment to my name being in the bottom 7 high score slots.His scores will not be hard to beat though.

Cx2, mk 9 is in fact under the xbox360 list along with everything else. It simply says MK: komplete Edition... which is the most current release of Mortal Kombat 9 that includes all the dlc.

Cx2, mk 9 is in fact under the xbox360 list along with everything else. It simply says MK: komplete Edition... which is the most current release of Mortal Kombat 9 that includes all the dlc. It isnt a separate game in the series, just an expansion.Side note and a bit of a fun fact... has anyone else wondered why 90% of Japanese made fighting games have English announcers? Street Fighter, Tekken, the vs. games, Guilty Gear, Blazblue, Soul Calibur, King of fighters... all of them have american announcers. the only exception to this rule that I can think of outside of some small single entry games is Samurai Shodown. Just a fun piece of trivia I thought Id share with people since it randomly came to me today. lol

I dont know if its possible in iOS, but in Symbian I go to the Sounds\WhatsApp of the memory where voice messages and other media are saved (it can be changed on Settings\General), and the messages are there in AMR format. From a PC, is as easy as selecting the files on Windows or File Explorer, copying those and pasting in other folder. The files names have PPT plus a number representing the date, but you can group items by date to speed the navigation to the messages on which you are interested.

To be honest, I think this is quite a tall order to fill. The reason SPL has become so popular is that right out of the box it is an easy enough program to get started with, on top of carrying tons of useful features and supporting many popular formats, not just wav, mp3 and ogg. it means that the need to convert files for quick deployment on your shows or broadcasts is almost always unnecessary, because for the most part, SPL will recognize them and play them without any tinkering on your part.Then theres all of SPLs automation tools and such; from the ability to create playlists on the hour to simply adding a song from a pre-selected folder when your playlists just dont have enough youre pretty much covered and dont have to let the music stop for longer than necessary. Add to that quick punch in commands for mic or line-in for people who have mixers and audio interfaces, mute commands for the software itself when you d
 ont wish to hear it echo back at you if that becomes a problem, the ability to quickly record for archiving purposes, the ability to crossfade from one song into the next either by overlapping the song or by making the other song fade out in the process, a timer that has been accessed by different screen readers with scripts to tell someone when a song is nearly over, and quick paste commands for adding songs on the fly, and you dont end up with anything less than a formidable bit of software that is deserving of respect, even if only grudgingly.I have heard others use foobar and winamp with great success, but I believe that to be more skill than the audio players themselves, because of the people who seriously havent eh slightest idea how a broadcast should sound or how to go about producing that end result assuming that they do have failed miserably. SPL removes a lot of the under the hood work that goes on in streaming, and the average j
 oe only needs to read the documentation a bit to set up with ease, or have friends who have previously used the software to help him along the way a bit. I myself picked up on the finer aspects of station playlist studio within roughly 36 hours and was well on my way with as much complex and sophisticated broadcasting as I could offer, considering that I had some fairly cheap equipment to work with at the time. It was almost, too, easy.If youre going to produce a software to contend with SPLs features, you have your work cut out for you. Hi.Sorry for the tripple post.Anyway, I have successfully installed Cyanogen thanks to the help of a friend and aa Windows 7 VM.It pisses me off that people stopped supporting device drivers in Windows XP, but oh well.Anyway, I just have one final question.Why doesnt my version of Cyanogen come with Pico TTS?I dont really care either way, but just wondered why I dont have Pico as a choice in tts settings.
