Re: Minecraft: accessibility, servers and mods

You guys keep saying it's too visual without explaining what the heck that even means. What parts are so difficult to code descriptions for, aside from what's already been provided with sound cues and the like? If someone made mods that allowed us to check the health counter and hunger bar and other things with either sound alerts or TTS/Screen-Reader support, and gave us cues for when there's a dangerous drop in front of us or lava or whathaveyou, as well as sound cues for when you were targeting a thing, we'd be fine. People make mods for Minecraft all the time for things as simple as different textures on blocks to as complicated as whole other mobs and tools and stuff. The community is huge! Can't we hope for a collection of mods that makes things easy enough for us to do? If you mean whe'll miss the scenery and the different particles and not be able to appreciate the beauty of a pink sheep, yeah, that's true. But surely code can be put in a mod that tells us the sheep is pink!

@974, banning certain types of guns is understandable to a degree. I don't think assault rifles should be banned on the premise of their name having the word "assault" in them, as politicians have done before, or on the amount of gun violence they've produced (which is less than 1 percent of all gun violence cases). If your going to ban a gun, do it for actually good reasons. And I'm sorry if 975 was a bit unrealistic or was too harsh -- I hope my point was made though. But the stance of 'ban all the guns' is just stupid. Make better legislation, make background checks better, and so on, sure. But don't ban all the guns. There's no need for that.

But people should still have the right to carry guns. From what my research has indicated, gun violence usually occurs because of mental instability or insanity, and that's where I support the idea of more health checks with gun acquisition. But banning entire classes of guns (e.g.: handguns) is stupid to me... especially because it seems like everyone who proliferates this "ban all the guns" mantra fails to consider the consequences of that. (Also, if memory serves, every politician that's proliferated that mantra is a hypocrite because they own a gun themselves.)

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

Ok guys, call me radical and whatnot, but I seriously think that the second amendment should be abolished, as in, owning a gun should not be a right, but a privilidge. Only people in specific professions, or who are in specific conditions should be able to own one. For example, FBI agents, military officers, lawyers, etc, professions who are likely to be targeted. Again, it should not be a godgiven  right, to have a gun. Someone should need to  proove they need one, and that they are capable of managing one, and have the mental faculties to not go crazy. Also, stockpiling should be banned too. Remember Steven Pattic? He had over 20 asault rifles when he did the las vegas  mandalay Bay shooting. He had never had any felonies in his life, Ethin, by your terms, he was a good guy, but that didn't stop him hording thousands of rounds of ammo, stockpiling his rifles, converting them into full auto, and shooting at people at a concert from a hotel window. If these types of weapons were banned, this wouldn't have happened period. Alsso, I heard you could walk into sporting good stores in some states and casually pick up 50 calibur rifles like the Barrett m82. Who the fuck needs a 50 calibur  rifle?

Re: Your choice? Would you restore your vision?

Camlorn, I have an infinite list of blindness stories unfortunatly. I can add blindness combination hearing loss stories to them too. Let me share some college blindness stories. The vending machine. So our dorm had this vending machine to buy sandwiches and snacks. Of course, because of my fucked up blindie sleep schedule, and also pulling all nighters, I didn't always have the option of going there with a sighted person. So I memorized the numbers for some of the things  I liked. These numbers would constantly change, insuring I got snacks I didn't necesarily want or like. Also, when you typed a number with an empty shelf,  the shelf would rotate  initially, and you could type another number, or if the item got stuck, you could put more cash in, and try and buy another of the item or alternatively,   you could shake or slam your shoulder into the machine to dislodge it. Of course, as students found a way to abuse it, they removed the ability to try again  if a shelf was empty, so for example, if you typed 41, and 41 was empty, it would eat your money. I lost dozens of turkish lira that way, even if you average the free sandwiches I got in my first year when retyping the number when items got stuck. Not a single sighted probably ever lost any money, due to seeing what was on what shelf.the caneSo I was crossing this gym parking lot entrance, which was just on the curb. I was with a friend, and this fucking moron ran over my cane, and when I say ran, he ran c The wheel of the car made one complete rotation on my cane. My friend screamed, and then  you know what that idiot did? He reversed, and ran over my cane again,  while I was holding it The metal was so badly warped,  one of the personel in charge of building maintenence was helpful enough to fix it  almost completely with a small hammer. That guy could have easily ran over my foot, and if I were sighted in that scinario, I wouldn't have needed a cane, and probably could've gotten out of the way too. and a home blindness story: The smoke detector. So I wake up at 6, and the house is freezing, so I decide to light the electric heater for the first time. However, smoke shoots out of the vents, and the smoke detectors start blaring. I spent around 20-30 minutes trying to find where it was, and then spent another 10 minutes trying to figure out how to turn it off. God knows what my neighbors thought of me. Not to mention the wheeled chair I stood on rolled out from under my feet, and ı nearly crashed to the floor. Again, sight would've allowed me to pinpoint the location of the detector, and at least fan it and make it stop.

The types of people that do this are your criminal/gang member types that wouldn't give a shit about gun laws anyway. You absolutely don't want to end up like the UK though, if some tooled up asshole kicks off here, he or she can do whatever the hell they like until the police armed response unit gets their fingers out their arses and turns up to neutralize the threat. Carrying something as harmless as a folding pocket knife with a locking mechanism will get you arrested, so I guess you could sing god save the queen at them really loudly or something. I'm still waiting on the categorization of narwhal body parts as dangerous weapons myself.

I don't think people are saying guns should be banned completely. I don't know how it works in America and other countries, but in South Africa to get a firearm licence you need to write a test proving you understand gun safety rules etc, and you can only own a limited number of guns each which has to be registered with their intended purpose. And self-defence is a valid reason. I'm curious how other countries do this.

also, re: blindness and autismSo I really think that focused interests develop due to the poverty of the nature of the  stimuli entering the brain. As auditory and other sensory information  doesn't use a fraction of the brain regions vision does. I also think that blindisms, and high energy levels can be explained by this as well, as the person generates more stimuli for themselves. Narrow interests could also be caused by a lack of social contact, or decreased social contact compared to the sighted  However, alot of sighted people also have very narrow interests they are passionate about.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

Ok, firstly, the slippery slope argument is a logical falicy. There is no evidence that repeeling one amendment would lead to the others. Second, as I said, there isn't any disadvantage of gun control at all. That is bullcrap fed by the NRA. Many countries tried gun control, and ... surprise surprise, it works to reduce crime, and reduce gun violence in general. The comparason with vehicles and guns is honestly a silly one. A gun is designed to kill people, that is it's design purpose. When you commit mass murder with a rifle, you are using it to do what it was designed to do. In other words, you aren't abusing it at all, but using the weapon as it was made to be used. A car was not meant to kill people, and makes a much less effective weapon. Any weapon like qualities of a car aren't intentional by design, but coincidental.  Again with government, noone stands a chance in hell of doing anything, and I think the danger of guns in the hands of the public is far greater than any perceived benefit. Maybe an outright ban might not be the best course initially, but it should not be a right to own a weapon.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

@972, you do know that a mandatory gun buyback law won't work. Think logically, Enes. Your literally asking every citizen in the nation -- that's 324 million people as of the 2017 estimate -- to turn in their guns. There are over 500 million guns in the nation. Out of those 324 million people, approximately 686,665 people (0.21 percent) work for the police, and 1.3 million (0.40 percent) work for the military. Your further asking those approximately 70 people to go, door-to-door, to every building in the country that may have a gun to confiscate those guns. Your then asking all of those guns to be registered in a database (operated by the federal government). Do you really think that someone who really wants a gun will not be able to hide it from the police? Do you really not think that would start a civil war if such a law passed (because it would most likely be a violation of the fourth amendment on a supermassive scale)? And what about people who know how to craft guns? What about those criminals who don't give a damn about your supposed 'law'? What if the database gets breached and wiped? And where the hell are you going to store those 500 million plus guns, anyway? Do you know of a building large enough to store 500 million firearms safely, plus all the ammunition? I certainly don't.As for the other weapons thing, yeah, right... just because a club, or a fork, doesn't have the range to kill someone like a gun can doesn't mean it can't be done. Its just harder to do. Also, people can make homemade missiles or homemade projectile launchers. Finally, what about the case where someone is at home and a criminal breaks in? If whomever lived there had a gun, they could defend themselves -- as they have the right to do. Are you just expecting them to call the police and happily sit around and wait? The police can't be everywhere, you know. Its better to give people the ability to defend themselves with a gun than to take it away and just expect all your problems to go away. And as I said before, criminals could care less about your law.As for the government thing, yes, it does seem laughable. But that was, actually, the original intent, along with granting the people the right to form militias. It doesn't just apply to the federal government, either; it applies to state governments as well.

@7I don't think it's called anything, or if it is I haven't seen anyone call it anything in something like 6 or 7 years of Python.  people just call it self, or the current instance, or the object, or whatever.  Maybe there's a Python term somewhere.Yes, you can name it anything. No, you really shouldn't.  That's only really allowed because Python is older than most of the people on this site.  Started in 1989, believe it or not.  It wasn't always so clear to everyone that making everyone use the same name for the current instance mattered, I don't think, but I doubt they'd allow for it these days if they were designing it again.  Mind you, you can do some very interesting and evil things that you should never ever do with Python's design for instance methods if you know what you're doing.

Re: Your choice? Would you restore your vision?

@kjsiscoNo one is picking apart the ways the sighted have advantages over the blind.  There's no picking apart to be done.  It's blatantly obvious once you're living independently and holding down a job and doing all those things you're supposed to do as an adult.being able to sweep the advantages of the sighted under the rug isn't about identity.  If you can do that you're either young, living in proximity to sighted people who help you out, or somehow you have more privilege than me and my 6 figure programmer salary.I've had multiple job-related blindness stories, I've had multiple airport-related blindness stories, I've had multiple home-related blindness stories, I've had multiple college-related blindness stories.  I could probably think up a few more categories.  All of them caused problems, all of those problems wouldn't have been problems if I were sighted.  If you haven't yet built up a list of stories like this, if you haven't yet come to understand your limitations, then you should think long and hard why so many of us do have stories like this and what it might mean.  I promise that those of us who are talking about the advantages of the sighted, we're not being hypothetical.  I used to think like you do.  Then I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to actually go out into the world, to live alone without a support network, and push myself far enough to find the limitations.  That sucks in a way, though I actually prefer living alone without a support network over going back to Florida where I have one, but I also feel kind of sorry for you if you're an adult and have had a boring enough life that you haven't found the edge of what blind people can reasonably do.  I will warn you now: if this is the case, you're not prepared for the day that that happens to you.You keep trying to turn this into some sort of blindness philosophy in order to ignore the purely practical points we're making.  Obviously we're not going to force you to take a cure if it existed.  But you're arguing against purely practical things with fortune cookie-style philosophy.  Your "blindness is identity" arguments don't help me or anyone else get to the grocery store.  They don't help us reroute around construction.  If you're living alone, they don't let you magically know just how bad that burn is.  They don't teleport us to work, or find the pill you just dropped before the dog eats it, or make employers consider us equal.  It doesn't turn getting stuck in some airport somewhere into anything less than a nightmare, or let you find your new doctor's office without Aira or somehow getting another human being involved.  It doesn't let you sense the electromagnetic emissions of your appliances to read their touchscreens, tel if there's mold on the ceiling, notice that the couch is stained and everyone has just been too polite to mention it.  It doesn't make the clouds move out of the way of the GPS signal, or the uber driver notice that maybe that blind guy is waiting on him.  I could go on.All it does is provides you some justification to put your head in the sand, because obviously monstrously long and impactful lists of just what we can't do and what's harder that aren't things like fighter pilot that we nonetheless have to deal with every day is just picking apart the advantages of the sighted.  I've got news.  It's not picking apart anything, and it's not about the advantages of the sighted.  It's about the disadvantages of the blind.  You will have these disadvantages until there's a cure and you choose to take it.  The only control you have over that is whether you face them or avoid acknowledging that they exist, you're avoiding, and ironically avoiding actually just makes it worse because only when you face them can you find ways around or through them.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

Ethin, I think I see why you're resistant, and I understand that as an American, you're very used to the idea that your country in part defines itself by allowing citizens to carry firearms. But ask yourself this:1. Practically speaking, how great is the need for a gun for your average citizen?2. Practically speaking, how likely are citizens to need guns to defend themselves from the government?3. Following from that, how likely is it, practically speaking, that a citizen actually uses their firearms to defend themselves against the government? As has been pointed out, this part of the constitution was written during an entirely different point in history. If there was ever a period in history where it made sense to own firearms and to carry them about, I believe that time has long passed. I feel that you might be resistant to change purely because some part of you feels that to get rid of the freedom to walk around with a gun will somehow make America less American. If that is, in fact, the way you feel, I urge you to probe the problem from a different angle. The only real tangible result of American gun legislation and the second amendment, in this case, are things like school shootings, hate-crimes, and mentally ill individuals committing mass homicide because weapons that can kill whole groups of people are far too easy to get hold of. I don't hear of nearly enough gun-owning Americans doing good in the world because they have the right to bear arms. Where were well-meaning armed Americans when riots broke out and police started using tear gas on innocents? Where were they when george Floyd and countless others died? Hell, Brionna Taylor's boyfriend owned a gun, and all it resulted in was Taylor herself being shot and killed following a no-knock warrant and entry into her home. This is not a shining example of what it means to be American; if it is, I think your problem runs far deeper than the gun violence itself, as I'd be pretty disgusted to be proud of a country whose main selling point was "hey, if you're American, you can walk around with a gun". That's...not really a thing anybody needs to be proud of, especially when so few people actually do anything meaningful with that freedom. I promise you that most other countries that have stricter gun control - stricter by far, I might add - don't foster an atmosphere where your average person cowers behind seven locks and bullet-proof glass because they don't have a gun. Oh, there's crime, sure, you'll get no argument there, and guns do exist. People get shot. It happens. But because guns aren't all over the place, it's not nearly the sort of numbers we're talking about in the States. So I say if we can do it, so can you. And resistance, to me at least, simply boils down to an unreasoned aversion to change.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

eOk, firstly, the slippery slope argument is a logical falicy. Maybe an outright ban might not be the best course initially, but it should not be a right to own a weapon, it should absolutely be a privilidge granted to few, which can be taken away at any time for any reason.

There's no need for that.Anyway, I think we've dragged this topic way off course. Can we return to coronavirus now?

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

@982 and 983, answers:1. Practically speaking, pretty important. Not just for self-defense but for other sports like hunting. People use guns for self-defense more often than you realize; we just don't hear about it because its not usually reported.2. Rarely, and that's been "rarely" since the last American civil war. Given the tension that's arose this year, however, that may change.3. Against the government? Answer to 2 was purely a guess -- I have no statistical numbers.4. Whether they succeed would entirely depend on the size of the force and how well-trained and coordinated it was. The force wouldn't need to be a full frontal assault; there are many kinds of warfair, and the sneakiest of kinds can cripple any authority in power given the right circumstances. However, the above four questions focused on governmental usage of guns. What about non-governmental usage of self-defense with guns? I did briefly touch on that, and a quick search indicates that this happens far more often than we think. Its hard to come to any justifiable answer because both sides claim different things.Do I think that we need more gun control? Yes, I do. Do I think that we should do what 981 said? Hell no. To address the other points in 982: I don't feel that getting rid of guns will make America less American at all. I feel that getting rid of guns completely -- or making it somehow a privilege -- will endanger far more people than it would if we didn't get rid of guns or make it some kind of special privilege. Its difficult, I think, for anyone to be completely objective on a matter like this, and no matter who does the research your going to find contradictory information all over the place. I am in favor of better background checks, and better regulation and legislation. What I am not in favor of is tampering with the bill of rights, particular because I can see repealing one amendment leading to the repealing of the first amendment and so on. I just feel that tampering with the constitution like that will lead us down a very dangerous path, and you know what they all say -- the road to hell is paved with good intentions. And though making gun ownership a privilege might be a 'good intention', you just know all the politicians are going to abuse the hell out of it.I've found some sources in favor and some not, though this just goes to prove the division and the fact that its unlikely we'll reach any kind of satisfactory answer. Some sources in favor include:https://www.npr.org/2018/04/13/60214382 … lf-defensehttps://www.heritage.org/firearms/comme … t-skepticshttps://fee.org/articles/more-people-us … accidents/https://americangunfacts.comAnd some sources not in favor include:https://www.wyff4.com/article/how-often … s/10033021https://vpc.org/revealing-the-impacts-o … e-gun-use/There are others, too; I read an analogy of sorts that asked why we weren't taking away all the vehicles in the nation because they cause a lot of deaths just like guns do, but I don't remember where that was. Also, according to this, this, and this we're already on the brink of a revolution, or heading towards it. Most likely a combination of the pandemic, BLM, and various other factors. It honestly wouldn't surprise me at this point; this entire country is so twisted and messed up we're practically asking for it. I'm proud to be an American, I really am... but some things still piss me off about it, though I suppose you'd find that with any country.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

I think the bar for gun ownership should be reasonably high. Yes, this includes things like sport hunting. Ahem, do we really need to be hunting anymore anyway, given that we already rule the roost and can get whatever we need without resorting to that? I'm not saying ban every gun, everywhere, for everyone, ever, eternally, but it definitely needs to be much, much, much tighter than it is right now. I don't see why anyone needs to be wandering around with a gun.In the Wheel of Time series, there's a sect of people called the Aiel. The Aiel, for reasons I won't go into, are totally okay with things like spears, knives and bows, because those can be used for hunting and for other things as well. Knives can be used to skin a kill, spears can be used to spit it while cooking, etc. Swords, on the other hand, are taboo in Aiel culture because their only purpose is to kill. You don't go out and kill a deer with a sword. I mention this because the car analogy brought up in an earlier post makes me think of this. Cars kill plenty of people, sure, but cars aren't designed with that in mind. Guns do absolutely nothing except kill. There is no other reason to have a gun than to kill something with it, or at the very, very least, to convince someone else that you are -prepared to kill with it. Personally, I could argue that a lot of problems in America come right down to just that. Folks are willing to go all the way to that extreme point for what they believe in. And okay, you might call that courageous, gutsy, whatever, but the inside-out version is that folks in America also seem very willing to inflict their beliefs on others...with force, if necessary. I want your stuff, so I'll point a gun at you and tell you to hand it over. I want your body, so I'll hold you at gunpoint while I have my way with you. I want what's in the cash drawer, so everybody get your hands up while you pass over the money nice and slow. I want you to hear what I say, so I'm going to go shoot up this night club full of gays. I want to go on practising oppression, so I'm going to use this gun of mine to shoot another person of colour. I want you off my property, so I'm going to threaten to take your life before you can take what I own. It's "I want" taken to the very last degree, and it's fucking disgusting to me that this has been so deeply woven into supposedly American cultural values. I'm well aware that the grand majority of Americans do not, in fact, think this way, but when you defend your constitution, you are in essence defending ideas like this. Also, doesn't it strike you funny that these amendments are actually called amendments? To amend something means you are updating, revising or otherwise changing it. Clearly, the constitution is not an inviolate piece of law; if it were, then black people still would not be treated as people under the law, just as one example. I don't see the slippery slope you speak of, Ethin, as a valid defense here. I respect what you're saying to a large degree, and I am glad that you're in favour of tighter gun control. We agree on those fundamentals, so I'm not fully opposed to what you're saying. At worst, I feel like you're trotting out some tired rhetoric that I've heard one too many times. There are simply too many countries which have tighter gun control where the problems you're worried about don't exist, or aren't spreading like wildfire, for me to take some of your objections seriously. The constitution can be tweaked. Guns kill people, and make people feel entitled to kill others with the twitch of a finger. In an increasingly polarized culture where Americans are essentially being taught to hate one another, I feel that your talk of revolution may be more prescient than you realize. I just hope it doesn't result in millions upon millions dead by bullets.

How do you beat Defending the River in TB without losing anyone?

How do you beat Defending the River in TB without losing anyone?

Hi,I know Tactical Battle is an old game that isn't being worked on any more, but I've been dabbling in it again recently. A lot of maps I find fun and I like messing around with my own creations. One map I've never been able to work out is the Defending the River map in the Getting Started pack. Like, seriously, what do. I have five people on my side. I need to kill twelve enemies. You can't regenerate mana so you have to be careful how you use it. All the enemies have 20 health and so do you. There are three ranged enemies who just pick your people off from a distance like the horrible fiends they are. And there are two fords you're supposed to defend, but spreading your team out like that screws you over. I have never been able to work this map out and right now, my inability to beat something with these limitations on it is frustrating me.Surely someone has beaten this map before. I tried searching for it, but the forum doesn't seem to have anyone asking about this map anywhere. Is the solution so easy that I should be able to see it?

Having a hell of a time with Ubuntu

Hello. For anyone out there who is a Ubuntu use, I need help. So, I'm duel booting Ubuntu, and Windows. The problem with Ubuntu is that the sound will not play. I checked whether it is muted, checkedthe volumes, and I think it's the sound card that has the problem. It recognizes the sound card, (I found this out using the command line commands to check.) I even used the command line to try and force it to reload, but alas, no sound. When I plug in headphones, sound will play, but whether the  screen reader is on or off, it will not talk. Also, with Windows, there is literally no problem so it can't mean my sound card is busted since it works just fine. What should I do? Thanks to anyone out there who can help me, I'd prefer using the command line to figure out some way to activate the sound card so that the sound will play on Ubuntu. I'm using the latest version, the latest lts.

Re: Corona Virus: is it the beginning of the end?

@977, I understand that the US has a very bad gun problem. And I acknowledge that and am not going to just hide under a rock and deny its existence. However, there is a line to be drawn, and I'd like to be able to carry a weapon with me if I feel that its necessary. I should have the option of not relying completely upon the police to save my ass if I find myself in a sticky situation, using what weapon I am most comfortable with. Of course, that would exclude assault rifles, because I've no need for one. But working out the gun problem will take decades, if the US does choose to work towards that way, and it should not involve the complete and utter abolition of the second amendment. That's a bit too far, don't you think?

Re: Your choice? Would you restore your vision?

@105 I've always wondered if it's just me! This is exactly what happens to me, and I lost my vision long before my 20s. Not sure exactly but by high school I had basically nothing left except a bit of light perception (and even that has mostly gone by now). I first noticed it somewhere in primary school though when I saw my hands until they moved up and I realised they were under a table and I shouldn't be seeing them. I've never actually met anyone else who has a similar experience, but come to think of it all the visually impaired people I know have either been blind from birth or still have some vision left so I guess I don't know anyone else who had ision then lost it completely. Everyone always asks me what I see (sighted people seem to think that blind people only see black) and explaining it is complicated and people don't really seem to get it. Sorry for going off-topic but I've literally never heard this being talked about before.

@24, thanks for the huge amount of detail in your post. I'll have to sift through the scoring info you provided. I'm guessing the variation in scores does have an explanation which I'll find once I sift through it and work it out.Part of me likes the challenge of finding the center of the track while just using the music as guidance, but another part of me thinks it would be cool to have the cues. For 1, it's nearly impossible to play the game when anything is going on in the background (Skype call for instance). Secondly I bet the cues would probably sound interesting because of how things are synthesized. I guess the only reason I wouldn't want them is that I like challenge a little too much hahaha. But yeah, it's a good idea, I'm not discouraging it.

@Grif: I can appreciate standing up for someone, but this isn't a matter of that. When using an online service to generate a speech synthesis engine of a voice, one that specifically syas for your own use only, then you don't use another one's voice. Plain and simple. If they want their voice made they can make an account and do it themselves. As for the prank argument, seriously, you guys act as if there was absolutely nothing to do to prank people into saying stuff? Sounds to me like someone wants to take the easy way out, just record 30 or some sentences of someone talking, and then make them say whatever. When they could, if there is raw audio of them around, be creative and splice them. So, yeah. I can appreciate standing up for someone, but in this case, it's too much of an unusual request to just give this guy the benefit of the doubt on. You can't expect us to welcome the idea of using someone else's voice/likeness when it's a clear and present policy violation for almost all the services this guy is after.

You said in post 7 that you're using foobar2000 to play MIDIs? Maybe you're using the MIDI Player component (foo_midi) right? If so, it has settings which you can access from foobar2000 preferences to select the BASSMIDI synthesizer.

Re: The last of us part ii discussion

Sorry for double posting, but I thought it would be best to post my tips for the rat king in a new post:SpoilersDon't read the rest of this post if you don't wanna read how I beat the Rat king.1. In the first part, you have to run forward, and press square when prompted to hit the Rat king. That part is easy enough and shouldn't give much trouble.2. The second part:At the beginning of this part, a very brutal attack is launched at you, and it can kill you in one sec. You can easily move out of range by moving to the right. As soon as you have avoided the attack, you can move the left stick back and then give a ton of damage to the enemy. I'll recommend the flame thrower. Keep attacking until she says: "You like that?," and then it's time to run like hell.Run forward while constantly pressing L3 to run in the right direction. When the destination sound is heard, that means you are as far away from the enemy as possible. Aim for the headshots if possible, shoot a few times and run to the next destination point so you have time to shoot again. Keep doing that until the next cutscene.Part 3: Continue to run forward to the destination sound, aim for the head and shoot. Keep doing that and you'll beat it.That's how I beat the Rat King. There might be multiple ways of beating it. I hope you find those tips useful.

Re: What is the most accessible email client for windows 10?

I tried windows mail, and yes whilst I could indeed send, view  and receive emails fine, other functions, from the microsoft people address book to creating mail folders were just not accessible.I've been using Thunderbir myself for a couple of years now, and found it to be perfectly accessible and very quick and easy to use, as well as extremely compatible with my gmail account. Actually, with the folder list down one side and the ability to hide extraneous information, it reminds me of good old outlook express on Windows xp, which is definitely a good thing.@RTR_Assassin,  don't know what you mean about the address book either, I just had a look and mine works fine. Maybe it is some things you have enabled in the view menu?

TD Ameritrade has a paper money simulation.  I haven't used it myself but the TD Amaeritrade web site itself is very accessible. The only thing I'm missing are the charts, but I haven't found a source for accessible interactive charts anywhere.

it's been like a few months now, legal or not, I am not sure though, heard the guy bought the source or something. I played the game for a while then stop since I got bored, updates came out slowly and the game has a few unfix bug and balancing issue. but still though, I love the idea behind this game. driving the car while shooting the robots? damn that is still fresh on my memory, what an awesome feeling that was. here's hopeing that someone could expand the game some more legally, or someone could recreate something like this one.

Re: Monthly Chat - August, 2020

@afrim, hope you do okay, it's worrying to hear someone's got it. @Aaron, I'm a little jealous of those theatre workshops, given there's bugger all in terms of performing arts for blind people on mainland britain, something that really irritates my lady. Finding an agent is not exactly easy, especially trying to find one these days who doesn't specify women only or "minorities", which apparently does not count blind people, but it's I think the only way of actually getting my work published, since online publishing takes wy more online promotional skills than I have, I'm just a guy who writes things . Still working on my novella though and I have a number of other things finished, so perhaps the eventual plan is a short story collection, or getting my stories published in anthologies, but I'll need to find a professional agent first. At the moment though as I said, things aren't easy due to Mrs. Dark not being well, us worrying it might or might not be cancer, and the knock on effect of continuing lockdown, actually to say that this is the point in the year when we usually would be preparing for international music summer school which hasn't happened now for several years, summer is not an easy time anyway. On the plus side, season 4 of game of thrones is really good! I don't remember it being this good, but then again there was a bit of a gap between me watching seasons 1-3 and season 4 the first time when I watched it in thirteen. Unfortunately, finishing season 4 also means I'll be on to the season when they finally run out of books, which i think happens somewhere in season 5, which I'm not looking forward to, since I've heard a lot of none specific doom and gloom about the conclusion of the series, though I've asiduously been avoiding any concrete information for fear of spoilers.Gaming wise though, things have picked up a bit, and shadowrine is proving fun, I definitely want to finish the game this time, even if sometimes the translated dialogue can get a bit floofy on occasion.Oh, and books wise we're continuing with dooma key, which I'll likely be reviewing soon. Actually I've dashed off a few reviews recently as well as This article, which is a fomral explanation of my issues with the concept of superheroes and which people might find interesting.Hope everyone else is having a slightly better time than we are right now.

Registering Kurzweil 1000 version 14.14

Registering Kurzweil 1000 version 14.14

Hello,Texas Workforce Commission purchased Kurzweil 1000 for me several years ago. I received a DVD with the software, but I don't have access to the disk right now. I do however have the serial number.I downloaded the demo thinking I could register it using my serial number, but the register option doesn't appear in the help menu. Do I really have to download a completely diffferent version? If so, that's ridiculous! Let me guess, the only way to get it is to contact someone? Ugh! Why not just allow the option to register from the installed demo like every other software package? Is there anything I can do to register this copy?
