questions.

It would be great if you could help us find a project for the team as a
whole i.e. three members working for ~8hrs for 3 months.
Thanks,

Hello Dev Team,

I would like to add some Information to the wiki on the Page:

Below the section:
I got an error message from CPAN somewhat like the following:

I would like to add:

If you can't install LWP::UserAgent be sure to go to /usr/bin and Enter
code
cp gcc.exe gcc-4.exe
cp g++.exe g++-4.exe

If you can't install XML::Parser because of missing expat restart cygwin

Either you give me an account to do this by myself or you can make it

Desciption of the spell checker engine of OpenOffice

2014-09-05 Thread Maria Hartmann
Hi,

I am looking for a description of the Hunspell engine or rather about how
hunspell is implemented in OpenOffice.
I am writing my bachelor thesis, wrote a spell checker for a swiss dialect and
have to write 30 pages about the language and the program. So I thought it
would be good to describe how hunspell works because the files I wrote for the
spell checker have no funtionality by there own. Right?
Is anybody here who knows something about a description?

Best regards,
Maria

What configure options are you using? I recommended that you configured
with --with-package-format=installed ; in that case you would find a
ready-to-run copy of OpenOffice in
main/instsetoo_native/unxlngx6.pro/Apache_OpenOffice/installed/install/en-US/openoffice4/program/soffice
and you should simply execute it (no installation).

 Two ideas --

 * You could start with the QA list, and once a consensus is reached,
 initiate a discussion on dev

 * You could use an existing planning page on cwiki to make these issues
 more visible--

  https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/OOOUSERS/AOO+5.0

Please feel free to rename it and/or change the title to something that
more fits with what you're describing, and just start listing issues that
have a high priority for the next release or provide a public link to a
search for them on this new page you create. And, then initiate a
 discussion on dev.

To a certain extent, active developers do go through BZ and search for
these, but, giving them more attention by listing them, as a basis for
discussion here is probably a good idea.

If you don't have a cwiki account, just apply for one.

There are a variety of ways to do what you want to do. Get creative! :)

Hunspell Implementation?

2014-09-05 Thread Maria Hartmann
Hi,

Was steckt
dahinter?

Würde mich über nützliche Antworten wirklich sehr freuen.
Liebe Grüße,
Maria

Was steckt dahinter?

Dazu solltest Du bessser die internationale dev-Liste
(http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/openoffice-dev/) befragen, denn dort

https://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/Writer/HallOfFame#Open_Source_Spellchecker

helfen.

Mit freundlichen Grüßen
