I cannot reproduce the problem you have reported. Please retry to load 
the webpage. Maybe first clean the cache and in worst case a restart of 
your webbrowser is helpful.

it's not exactly what you have seen. But please see this issue [1] as 
example why McAfee's detection is not a problem.

I'm not sure there is an ultimate fix for this error message that can cover a 
lot of cases.

Have you tried to deactivate your antivirus before installing?
In some case, users had success by decompressing the installation file on the 
C: partition

Hello, please make sure you are downloading from the correct places. You
can go here to find the correct package to download for your environment:
http://www.openoffice.org/download/index.html . I have just tested once
more on Windows 10 using IE Explorer 11 and it works correctly. It links to
the sourceforge mirror and you get a notification from Internet Explorer if
you want to run or save. Please make sure you are choosing one of these two
options to continue with the download.

When the PC is restarted - or in the worst case new installed - it 
should be possible to download OpenOffice. You don't need any user 
account or serial number or registration for downloading, starting or 
running the software.

Check the file integrity using the methods outlined in
http://www.openoffice.org/download/checksums.html

If it doesn't pass, then there is a problem with the downloaded file and you 
should redownload  and recheck.

Yes, I agree with Jan.

I just used Microsoft Windows 10 Pro x64 and Internet Explorer 11 with no 
difficulty and especially no blocking.  The 134MB Download starts without 
complication and the expected IE "Do you want to ..." pop-up happens at the 
bottom of my browser Window.  Neither IE nor SourceForge seem to be the source 
of this limitation.

What does the message that announces blocking of the download look like?  Does 
it have a title bar or other descriptive information?

It sounds to me that there may be some restrictions on your end.

Some Googling suggests that your employer might have a FortiGate Firewall 
blocking large downloads.

Please try downloading the file from home or from another network, and report 
back if that does not solve your issue.

for the UK version we are using the "GB" abbreviation. So, please change

BTW:
The the hint that Rory gave you regarding language packs is also

simply download and install the English(UK) language pack.

debug alues below I don't see any hint for a problem. Furthermore, I've 
tested the download a second ago and also don't see a problem.

As I understand from your screen shots and description, you are taken to the 
download site sourceforge.net , but then nothing 
happens.
You click the “direct link” and still nothing happens, is that so?

What is supposed to happen is that download will start automatically and you 
should see the progress in your browser.
Just tested here.

I’m not familiar with the Maxthon browser. Have you tried in another browser to 
see if it works there?

you could try to change the mirror server you try to download from. Very 
likely you try to download always from the same mirror which is maybe 
not working correctly at this moment.


When clicking the download button and the Sourceforge webpage is 
appearing, then click on "or try another mirror", choose another mirror 
near to you and try with this one.

Thx Marcus for your fast reply. I later downloaded via my Linux computer via 
Uni Canterbury mirror with no problem (failed there also under win7) and got it 
installed. I really think it is a MShit issue/sabotage.

This has now been fixed by Infra, even though it took some discussion 
since CMS issues are not always obvious. Anyway they triggered a site 
rebuild and this seems to have fixed it. The page you had removed is now 
indeed removed. The banner I had updated is not updated yet, but this 
may be due to server-side caching, and will hopefully be OK in a few hours.

Thanks, but unfortunately the build failed. I don't think this is
related to your specific commit; I tried another commit in that
directory, just to change a link and trigger a rebuild, but it is still
stuck: https://ci.apache.org/builders/ooo-site-site-staging


... and I was so happy that no further editing was needed. It seems we 
have to follow more closely the buildbot to catch up this problem earlier.

Language packs are a bit different, although they might include writing tools 
for your preferred language.

For language packs, go to .  Choose the 
language of interest if it is not already selected for you.  Then choose 
"Download language pack" (possibly translated to your language, e.g., 
"Herunterladen: Sprachpaket").  On the next page, wait for the download to 
start.  Do not click anything on the page.  If your browser requests 
instruction about what to do with the download, use your preference for only 
that.

If you have anti-virus software, ensure that it asks you before quarantining 
any download.  Ensure that it does not delete quarantined downloads 
automatically.

 1. Do not remove the English version.  Go to 


 2. Make certain that the "German" ("Deutsch") language is selected.

 4. Install the language pack.  

 5. After the language pack is installed, Start Apache OpenOffice.  On the menu

The website is running fine and also the forwarding to SourceForge - 
were the files are hosted - are up and running. From here downloads are 
starting as I've tried seconds ago.

I don't know why there needs to be a firewall rule for downloading this 
software. I would expect that every Internet traffic via port 80 is 
activated.


Here are 2 things that may could help:

- You could try to download at different time points.

- Also to choose a different mirror server [1] could help. Make your 
reload the download page after choosing a different mirror than 
"Auto-select".


Otherwise you can ask your system admin for help. As it seems to be a 
special case here it could be a good help.


I know that the download is working at this moment. So, I'm sorry but I 
think we cannot help here in a concrete way.

I think this is another case which can  be solved by refreshing the download 
page in the browser or clear the browser cache.

It seems there is no problem with the download. But from the error 
message I would guess that there is no Java Runtime Environment 
installed - or not the right version.

OpenOffice download is working. But the extensions and templates 
websites not yet. Pleae be patient and check back frequently.

This @ IP is in a private network.
That meaning that it is not allocated to any specific organization and cannot 
be transmitted through the public Internet.

maybe there is a temporary problem with the respective server the 
download should come from. So, trying another one [1] or wait for some 
time and try then again should solve this problem.

Thanks for your data. Unfortunately, you haven't stated what the real 
problem is. From the values itselfs I don't see a problem to download 
AOO 4.1.1 version for Windows and French.
