[cp-discuss] Upcoming change to SWC Git lesson

2024-09-11 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi everyone,

At the end of September, the central example of the Software Carpentry Version
Control with Git lesson will be
modified, replacing the current story of Wolfman and Dracula with a new
narrative around recipes. If you are curious about the specifics of the
changes, you can explore the pull request on the lesson repository
.

To summarise how the lesson will change:
names and contents of example files will change, mostly to text files with
lists of ingredients
the new story revolves around two people hired to build a recipe archive for a
restaurant

The changes to the structure and flow of the lesson are minimal. If you have
taught the lesson recently, you should not notice much change: concepts are
introduced in the same order, and exercises remain the same apart from the
filenames/example content used.

If you have any questions or concerns, please ask here and I will try my best
to answer them.

Many thanks to the lesson Maintainers, the SWC Governance Committee/Curriculum
Advisors, and all the other members of the community who contributed to these
updates.

All the best,

Toby

PS if you teach Software Carpentry workshops, you may also be interested in
another big change that was made to improve the Git lesson recently: it now
teaches git switch and git restore instead of git checkout.

[cp-discuss] HPC Carpentry Enters Lesson Program Incubation

2024-07-31 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi everyone,

In case you missed it on the blog last week, the HPC Carpentry
project has formally entered incubation as a
lesson program for The Carpentries
.

The mission of HPC Carpentry is to lower the barrier to entry to HPC operations
for a wide range of users, so that more learners can benefit from the
availability of increasingly sophisticated computer systems. The incubation
process brings the project a step closer to joining Data Carpentry, Library
Carpentry, and Software Carpentry as a lesson program of The Carpentries.

The blog post

describes what all of this means in more detail, and outlines some ways that
you can get involved: helping with workshops, contributing to lessons, and
raising awareness of the project in your local institutes and communities.

The HPC Carpentry community meets twice a month at multiple times of day to
suit a spread of time zones. The next community calls are TOMORROW at 11:00 UTC

 and 21:00 UTC
.
You can find the events listed on the community calendar
, and I recommend that you
also join the #hpc-carpentry channel on Slack if you are interested in
following or contributing to the project.

Thanks,

Toby

[cp-discuss] New version of Data Carpentry R Ecology lesson

2024-03-27 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
[This message is particularly relevant to Instructors teaching the Data
Carpentry Ecology curriculum]

Hi everyone,

The Data Carpentry Ecology Curriculum Advisory Committee recently approved the
adoption of a redesigned version of the Data Analysis and Visualisation in R
for Ecologists lesson
. The current
version of the lesson will be
replaced with the new content on 8 July 2024.

## For Instructors and Workshop Hosts
This announcement is important especially if you are planning a Data Carpentry
Ecology workshop in the next few months. The new version
 has received
excellent feedback from those who have taught it so far, and I recommend that
you try using it even if you are planning to teach the curriculum before the
transition date.

## Lesson Maintenance
We are looking for volunteers to join a team of Maintainers for the lesson. If
you are interested in getting involved with maintaining the lesson as the new
version gets established, please respond to the call for Maintainer Onboarding
 before 5th
April.

## How Will This Work?
The redesigned version is currently in a fork of the official DC lesson.
Changes will be merged into the source repository on 8 July. You can track our
progress towards that in the relevant issue on the lesson repository
.

## Will Other Lessons be Redesigned?
The adoption of a redesigned R lesson raises the prospect of a similar update
to the Python lesson in the
DC Ecology curriculum, to ensure that both “flavours” of the curriculum teach
equivalent skills and concepts. I believe the Python lesson could greatly
benefit from being updated, and I would be delighted to support a community
effort to do so. Please get in touch if
that is something you might be interested in contributing to.

Similar updates could also be prompted in the DC Social Sciences curriculum
, which was originally based on
the lessons for ecologists.

Furthermore, the Software Carpentry Governance Committee recently mentioned
their plans

for a push to update curriculum this year.

Finally, the Library Carpentry Curriculum Advisors have been coordinating the
adoption of new lessons into their Extended Curriculum
in recent months
as well. So there are efforts towards updating curriculum within all three
lesson programs right now: if you are interested in curriculum development and
want to help us make lessons even better, this is a great time to get involved!

All the best,

Toby

[cp-discuss] Maintainer Onboarding 2024

2024-03-26 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi everyone,

As you may have seen announced on the blog last week, the call for new
Maintainer Onboarding is open
.

The current Maintainers gave a phenomenal response to a recent survey,
indicating that the vast majority wished to remain in the role, but some
volunteers have inevitably needed to step away. We are running another round of
Maintainer Onboarding to strengthen the teams maintaining Data Carpentry,
Library Carpentry, and Software Carpentry lessons.

Maintainer Onboarding
provides guidance on the processes and communication involved in lesson
maintenance, as well as a GitHub Skill-up
 to introduce some
of the tools and skills that can make Open Source project maintenance easier.
You do not need to be an expert in Git or GitHub to become a Maintainer: in
fact, this is a great opportunity to gain confidence in those skills in a
supportive environment. It is also a flexible way to contribute to the
long-term sustainability of The Carpentries lessons. Check out the blog post
linked above to learn more about the onboarding.

If you are interested in becoming a Maintainer, please fill out the short
application form before the end of 5
April anywhere on Earth
.

Please contact me or Nathaniel Porter
, the Maintainer Community Lead, with your questions
about lesson maintenance and Maintainer Onboarding.

Thanks,

Toby

Re: [cp-discuss] Become an Editor for The Carpentries Lab

2024-03-06 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi Rachida,

In principle, status as a PhD student would not prevent you from taking on the
role of Editor: I would like to build an editorial team with a range of
perspectives and expertise. Nevertheless, Editors will benefit from past
experience with any/all of the following: peer review, GitHub project
management, curriculum design, and web accessibility. I will invite volunteers
to become Editors based on their experience in these areas.

If you are interested in taking up the role, or if you want to discuss it
further, I encourage you to contact me directly at tobyhod...@carpentries.org

[cp-discuss] Become an Editor for The Carpentries Lab

2024-02-28 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi everyone,

I published a blog post last week, titled Supporting the Curriculum Development
Community in 2024
. I
recommend reading it if you are interested in learning about how changes to the
capacity of the team will impact the community’s lessons and the infrastructure
that supports them, and/or how you can get involved.

I would like to highlight one really important part of the blog post, which is
also an exciting opportunity for any community members who would like to
promote the development of high quality, open source lessons: we are calling
for volunteers to take on the role of Editor for open peer review of lessons in
The Carpentries Lab.

The Lab has been on a bit of a
slow burn, but we are really starting to see the platform making an impact. For
example, the Metagenomics curriculum
 that was our first
accepted submission last year was recently published in The Journal of Open
Source Education . I am
looking forward to working with community members to help build on this
momentum and keep reviews moving.

I am pasting the relevant section of the post below, for more information.
Please send me an email if you are
interested in taking up this role. I would also be delighted to answer any
questions you have about the Lab and the role of Editor. You can respond here,
or contact me directly on Slack, by email ,
or by scheduling a call with me .

Finally, a brief note of gratitude to the Maintainer community before I sign
off, for the phenomenal response we received this month to the annual opt-in
survey — thank you to everyone who filled that in, and especially to Nathaniel
Porter, our Maintainer Community Lead, for leading the process!

All the best,

Toby

Become an Editor for The Carpentries Lab
Lesson reviews in The Carpentries Lab are publicly visible issue threads on the
Reviews repository . Editors
manage the review process, performing basic checks to determine whether
submitted lessons are appropriate for the Lab and ready for review, finding and
assigning reviewers, and ensuring the integrity of the review process.

Becoming an Editor for the Lab is a fantastic way to support lesson development
in The Carpentries community, expand your network, and gain experience with
Open Source and peer-review practices.

Community members acting as Editors for the Lab would benefit from prior
experience in any/all of the following:

the academic peer review process
managing projects on GitHub
curriculum design
web accessibility
Editors from the community will be supported by The Carpentries Curriculum
Team. We already provide a guide for Editors
,
which will be expanded further, and the Curriculum Team will be available for
direct support, e.g. to help contact potential reviewers, to troubleshoot
issues, and to answer questions. We will also schedule dedicated onboarding
sessions for community members taking on the role.

If you are interested in becoming an Editor, please send me an email

[cp-discuss] Collaborative Lesson Development Training

2023-10-19 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi everyone,

I am delighted to share that The Carpentries has launched our new program of
Collaborative Lesson Development Training
. This is a short-format
training teaching essential concepts and good practices in:
Lesson design and development
Collaboration
The Carpentries lesson infrastructure

We published two blog posts this week about the
training. The first announced the launch of the program

and aimed to answer some of the most important questions the community would
have. The second introduced our first cohort of Lesson Developer Trainers
 - the
community members who will be teaching Collaborative Lesson Development
Training - and took a more detailed look at the content of the training
curriculum .

Monday’s launch was an important milestone for a project we’ve been working on
for several years already, and I am thrilled that it is finally open for
registrations. It’s a collaborative effort between a huge number of people, and
it’s been a lot of fun. Particular thanks go to Aleks Nenadic, Mateusz Kuzak,
and Sarah Stevens for creating the curriculum, and Ann Backhaus, Erin Becker,
Mike Trizna, and Tim Dennis for preparing to teach it.

Please get in touch with the questions you have about the training and/or the
curriculum — curricu...@carpentries.org

Thanks,

Toby

[cp-discuss] Instructor Notes Drive 2023

2023-05-08 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi everyone,

As you might have read on the blog recently, the Curriculum Team is
coordinating an Instructor Notes Drive
, which
starts today and runs through to the end of next week, Friday 19th May 2023.

During this time we call on the community to help us expand, update, and
improve the guidance provided to Instructors on any and all of The Carpentries
lessons. This is a great opportunity to share your experience as an Instructor
with the whole community, and to learn/practice the skills needed to contribute
to an open source project. It is also a good chance to get some hands-on
experience working with the new lesson infrastructure.

To learn more about the Instructor Notes Drive, including links to instructions
and tutorial videos describing how to edit the Instructor Notes on a lesson,
check out the blog post published at the end of last week
. That
post also lists the schedule for coworking sessions
, where
community members can come to contribute to the Drive together.

I am also hosting a couple of community discussions this week, which provides
another opportunity for you to ask questions and discuss the event. Those
sessions will take place at:

09:00 UTC, Tuesday 9th May 2023 (check the event time in your time zone
)
18:00 UTC, Wednesday 10th May 2023 (check the event time in your time zone

[cp-discuss] Community Discussions on Lesson Infrastructure

2023-04-13 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi everyone,

On Monday 17th April, Zhian Kamvar will host two community discussions about
the new lesson infrastructure, The Carpentries Workbench
, which will be rolled out across all
Data Carpentry, Library Carpentry, and Software Carpentry lessons in the coming
weeks.

These discussion sessions are an opportunity to learn more about the new
infrastructure, ask any questions you have - from the perspective of an
Instructor, Maintainer, lesson contributor, lesson developer, or any other role
in the community - and to hear about the experiences of other community members
who have been working with the Workbench.

They will take place at 14:00 UTC

 and 22:00 UTC

on Monday, and you can sign up to attend by adding your details in the
relevant section of the community-discussions Etherpad
.

To read more about the infrastructure transition, I recommend checking out the
latest edition of the Dovetail series of blog posts, published today:
https://carpentries.org/blog/2023/04/dovetail-17/

Thanks,

Toby

[cp-discuss] Become a Lesson Maintainer

2023-03-06 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi everyone,

The Carpentries is currently calling for volunteers to join Maintainer
Onboarding
.

Maintainers are responsible for the upkeep of official Data Carpentry, Library
Carpentry, and Software Carpentry lessons: handling issues and pull requests
from community members to the open source repositories that lesson sites are
built from. It is a flexible community role
 and a
great way to gain experience in managing an open source project in an
established and supportive community.

Furthermore, this year is a particularly great time to get involved with
Carpentries lesson maintenance: our brand new lesson infrastructure
 is simplifying many of the
tasks involved, and the Curriculum Team and Maintainer Community Lead are
expanding our onboarding for new Maintainers. For the first time, it will
include dedicated training on essential open source maintenance skills such as:
reviewing pull requests; resolving merge conflicts; previewing websites on your
local system; and rebasing forks and branches.

This year we are looking for new Maintainers for some our most
frequently-taught lessons, so this is a great way to have a big impact on the
community.

The deadline to apply for onboarding is approaching fast: fill out the form

before the end of your day on Wednesday (8th March)! If you would like to learn
more about being a Maintainer in The Carpentries community, please feel free to
reply here or contact me directly .

Thanks,

Toby

[cp-discuss] Join a Lesson Program Governance Committee

2023-01-31 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi everyone,

As you may have seen in a blog post last week, The Carpentries is looking for
community leaders to form Lesson Program Governance Committees for Software
Carpentry, Library Carpentry, and Data Carpentry.

Each committee of 3-5 people will be responsible for guiding the strategy of
the lesson program, advocating for it, and communicating with the Executive
Council and the wider community about its needs and goals. Onboarding sessions
and ongoing support will be provided to committee members by the Core Team.

This is a great opportunity to get involved in the development and
strengthening of our lesson programs, to gain experience of community
governance, and to help us establish more community leadership for The
Carpentries.

Please read the blog post
 for more
details, including a link to the application form, and contact me
(tobyhod...@carpentries.org or schedule a
meeting with me ) if you have any questions.
You might also it helpful to read the Twitter thread I wrote with more context
from my own perspective

[cp-discuss] Looking for Curriculum Advisors for Data and Software Carpentry

2022-07-12 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi folks,

We are looking for volunteers to act as Curriculum Advisors for Software
Carpentry and three Data Carpentry curricula.

Curriculum Advisors provide high-level oversight, vision, and leadership for a
curriculum and guide large-scale updates. Each Curriculum Advisory Committee
(CAC) is supported by a group of Lesson Maintainers, who focus on day-to-day
maintenance of the lessons.

We are looking for Curriculum Advisors for the Data Carpentry Ecology

(currently in beta
)
curricula, and for at least one more member of the existing CAC for Software
Carpentry , to act as Secretary for that
group. You can read more about the roles and responsibilities within a CAC in
the community handbook
.

This is an excellent way to have an impact within the community with a
relatively small and flexible commitment of time.

The deadline for applications is 22 July. You can read more about the call for
applications in a recent blog post

[cp-discuss] A lesson on Foundational Computer Skills

2021-07-07 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi folks,

You might already have seen the latest Incubator Lesson Spotlight feature [1],
about the new lesson on Foundational Computer Skills proposed by Annajiat (in
cc) for development in The Carpentries Incubator. The idea for the lesson is to
prepare material that teaches learners the things we expect them to know
*before* they attend a Software/Library/Data Carpentry workshop: how to
correctly download and decompress data files, how to locate the home
folder/desktop, etc. If and when the content is ready, it could be shared with
learners, workshop hosts, etc as a resource to assist with pre-workshop setup
and installation.

I am interested to hear what other skills the community thinks could be
included in such a lesson. If you have thoughts on this, and especially if you
would like to contribute to the development of the lesson, please share on this
discussion thread, in the Slack channel [2], or via an issue on the lesson
repository [3].

Thanks,

Toby

[cp-discuss] Instructors needed for a Carpentries Incubator lesson pilot

2021-06-23 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi everyone,

In March we released a call for pilot workshops

for two NeuroImaging lessons in The Carpentries Incubator: Introduction to MRI
Data Analysis and
Functional Neuroimaging Analysis in Python
. These pilot workshops
are an essential step in the development of a new lesson.

One of our volunteer hosts is looking for Instructors, with relevant background
experience in neuroimaging, to help teach one of these pilot workshops. If you
are a certified Instructor with experience of resting state fMRI and using
Python with nilearn/nibabel, and you think you would have time to teach these
lessons and provide feedback on the content afterwards, please get in touch
with me directly (tobyhod...@carpentries.org) and I will pass your details on
to the workshop host.

The workshop will be virtual, so no travel will be required for participation,
and the dates of the event can be scheduled around the availability of
Instructors.

Thanks for your help,

Toby

[cp-discuss] Looking for Contributors/Maintainers for Image Processing with Python Lesson

2021-06-10 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Dear All,

We are looking for members of The Carpentries community who are interested in
helping to bring the Data Carpentry Image Processing with Python curriculum
to a stable, published state. The
lesson has been in development for a few years and is already a very good
resource for those looking for an introduction to the skills needed when
working with image data. This in an opportunity to help shape a lesson that
will teach in-demand skills to a large audience of learners.

## How can you help?

The lesson is currently in an alpha state: it has been successfully taught on
several occasions by the community members who have developed the content up to
this point, with feedback incorporated after each pilot workshop. The purpose
of this message is to call for community members with relevant background
knowledge who would like to

1. help implement some final touches to the lesson material, addressing open
issues and any other improvements as they desire.
2. act as a Maintainer of the lesson after it has passed through beta testing
and been published.

## How will you be supported?

In both cases, you will be supported in this work by members of the Curriculum
Team. Anyone wishing to become a Maintainer for the lesson will be invited to
join the upcoming round of Maintainer Onboarding, expected to begin in mid-July.

If you are interested in contributing in either or both of the ways described
above, or if you would like any more information, please get in touch with me
(tobyhod...@carpentries.org ) before the end
of Sunday 19 June. Please include a brief summary of your relevant experience
with Python and/or working with image data.

## How will your contribution be acknowledged?

All contributors to the development of the lesson will be listed as an author
when the publication is made on Zenodo; Maintainers will be listed as editors.

Many thanks,

Toby

Re: [cp-discuss] Best platforms to advertise workshops

2021-04-14 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi all,

(Apologies as we threaten to take this thread further away from the original
topic of attracting more attendees…)

>> Adding a fee can also improve attendance

In a previous role, we had some success with only the threat of a no-show/late
cancellation fee. Honestly, and largely because of the administrative burden
mentioned by Mario, this was an empty threat that we would not follow through
on. But it had a noticeable effect when we introduced it, cutting our
no-show/late cancellation rate from ~30% to <5% …

Cheers,

Toby

[cp-discuss] Geospatial Python Lesson Development Sprint - This Week!

2021-01-06 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Dear All,

A lesson development sprint on Data Carpentry Introduction to Geospatial Raster
and Vector Data with Python
 will take place on
Thursday and Friday this week (7 & 8 January). Community members are welcome to
get involved and help further the development of the lesson. You can read more
about the sprint below, and on this etherpad:
https://pad.carpentries.org/XyOFk2kAyBGw9IJuk1t7

Much of this lesson has already been written and taught and this sprint will be
a chance to push the remaining content towards completion. All community
members interested in helping to improve Carpentries lesson materials are
welcome to get involved and participation from those with experience working
with geospatial data in Python would be particularly welcome. Please read on
for more information about the lesson and the focus of the drive.

__About the lesson and sprint__

The Introduction to Geospatial Raster and Vector Data with Python
 lesson has been in
development since September 2019. The first seven episodes of the lesson were
completed and first taught in February 2020 for the NASA DEVELOP program, where
participants learned how to use geospatial python to manipulate raster data for
their 10-week applied research projects. Since then, new episodes have been
added, for working with shapefiles with geopandas, and the rest of the lesson
has been cleaned up.

In this upcoming sprint, the developers are looking to push forward and finish
more advanced topics like munging and visualizing raster time series and
calculating zonal statistics, as well as other improvements that participants
are interested in working on. For an overview of how these materials have been
taught, see this previous blog post:
https://carpentries.org/blog/2020/03/teaching-a-new-geospatial-python-lesson/

__Connection Details__

Ryan Avery will host a Zoom call at 17:30 UTC on 7 and 8 January 2021 to kick
off each sprint day (see the event time converted to your local timezone here
).
More details of the schedule and a Zoom connection link can be found on this
etherpad: https://pad.carpentries.org/XyOFk2kAyBGw9IJuk1t7

[discuss] Updating the Requirements for Instructor Training Checkout

2018-11-06 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi All,

We recently opened a request for comment (RFC) around changing the instructor
discussion element of the checkout process for new instructors (see the GitHub
issue here for a record of the conversation:
https://github.com/carpentries/instructor-development/issues/71
). Thanks to
everyone who provided input on this.
The Instructor Development Committee and Instructor Training Team need time to
discuss all this and re-envision the goals and requirements for the checkout
process for instructor training, but we realize there are several instructor
training events taking place through the end of the year. Therefore, we will
make the following adjustments:

Anyone wishing to complete their Carpentries instructor training checkout
through to December 31, 2018 will complete the current requirements for
instructor discussion sessions.
Anyone wishing to complete their Carpentries instructor training checkout
beginning January 1, 2019 will do so with the revised requirements. I.e. anyone
who is yet to complete their checkout when 2019 begins will then be required to
fulfil whatever new requirements are decided on.
We (the Instructor Training Team, Instructor Development Committee, and
Community Engagement Lead) will be re-envisioning these requirements over the
next two months. The new requirements will be similar in time commitment to the
current discussion session requirement.

Thanks,

Toby
(on behalf of the Instructor Development Committee)

[discuss] Discussion Session on Delivering Exercises to Learners

2018-10-26 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi All,

On Wednesday November 7th, 15:00 UTC, we will host an Instructor Discussion
Session around the theme of delivering exercises to learners during a workshop.
Sarah Brown will kick things off with an overview of how she uses IPython
‘%load’ magic to provide exercises on-demand within a Jupyter Notebook (see her
excellent blogpost [1] and this GitHub issue [2] for more details). We’ll
follow that with a more general discussion, where we’ll hear from the
experiences of other instructors:
How do they provide exercises to their learners?
What are the advantages/disadvantages to these approaches?
How might we use/adapt the existing lesson material and template to help with
delivering exercises to our learners when they need them?
If you’re interested in learning more from our instructor community about how
to manage exercises most effectively while you teach, please join us! You can
add your name to the attendance list and check the start time in your local
timezone on the Instructor Discussion etherpad [3].

For those interested who can’t attend, look out for a blogpost soon after,
summarising the discussion.

Thanks,

Toby

Thanks everyone for your recommendations and insight. I'll respond to some of
you individually to find out more. I hope to be able to report back if and when
we are able to organise a workshop here.

All the best,

Toby

[discuss] Data Management Training Material

2018-08-22 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi folks,

(Relevant to the two discussions we’ve had on here recently about versioning
large datasets and tracing provenance.) We’ve been approached by someone at the
EMBL library who would like to organise a workshop on Research Data Management
and (Open) Publication for (computational) biologists. I wonder if anyone on
this list has taught something like that before and, if so, if you have any
materials that you’d be happy to share?

I’m already familiar with the SWC Data Management lesson video here
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MEJ38BO6Mo
] and of course a lot of the DC
material will be relevant as well. The workshop will need to be hands-on and
cover data management over the lifetime of a project: while planning/applying
for funding (data management plans); during the project (data organisation,
preservation, etc); and openly publishing/archiving data & metadata.

I’d be grateful or any and all resources and advice that you can share and
recommend.

Thanks,

Toby

[discuss] Community Building Community Call

2018-06-08 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Dear All,

Want to join a community call sharing experiences in community building?

As a follow-up from discussions that began at RSE17 in Manchester (more details
here:
https://software.ac.uk/blog/2018-05-09-building-communities-support-research-software-engineering-blog-series

),
a group of us are organising a series of community calls on the topic of
community building. The aim of these calls is to bring together people from
across a diverse set of communities, to share their experiences and advice on
this subject. I expect that many people on this list will have valuable
contributions to make to such discussions.

The calls will be limited to one hour in duration, beginning with a section
focussed on a particular topic, followed by time reserved for general
discussion. Our first call will take place next week, at 14:00 UTC (16:00 CEST)
on Thursday 14th June 2018. The discussion topic will be “Connecting
geographically isolated community members”. The call will take place on Zoom,
at this address: https://zoom.us/j/5731515972 .
If you’d like to join, you can add your name to the list on this shared pad,
where we will take notes during the call:
https://bio-it-embl.piratenpad.de/building-communities

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Please also forward
this message to anyone else who you think might be interested.

Looking forward to seeing you there,

Toby Hodges

Re: [discuss] RE: Image processing with Python

2018-05-25 Thread Toby Hodges via discuss
Hi Carlos,

We run a two-day workshop on image processing with Python. The material is
aimed towards biologists. You can see the repository here:
https://git.embl.de/grp-bio-it/python-workshop-image-processing

The repo has no license right now, but I will speak to the author and fix that
ASAP.

Cheers,

Toby
