Re: [slim] [ANNOUNCE] Music2touch 1.4.3 for the Blackberry Playbook released
Hi, Just installed version 1.5.4. Initially I had some problems getting it to fully connect with my Squeezebox server. The problem being the default web and CLI ports. My server was using the default web port, but CLI port was different. The Music2touch app 'connected' OK - but there was not warning that the CLI was not accessible. I spent ages trying to figure out why the app was not working then realised the CLI port was incorrect. Maybe there should be a message to state whether the web AND CLI ports are not accessible. [slim] Spotify Crashes Radio
Hi, Strange problem, when I use the official spotify App, it works fine for about 3 searches, then when I search again (using the iPhone app), it totally crashes the radio and causes it to reboot. I will see if it does the same if I just use the radio controls tonight, I was just wondering if anyone else had seen this problem? Once the radio is started again, it works fine. If I leave it playing one album, again - it's fine. I also get the not available in your region message when the same track plays fine on the Spotify PC app or the native Spotify iPhone app? I've come back from work after leaving the Touch unplugged all day, switched it on and found it very slow at connecting. [slim] still have MusicIP confusion
I have had MIP running with SBS for a while now and thought I had everything set up correctly. But then I read that in the Basic Settings tab in the SBS page, for the Music Folder entry, this should be blank and it will automatically pick up MusicIP and the scans will run quicker. So that is what I did: I blanked out the box and did a full rescan. I left the MusicIP setting for Use MusicIP to be Only read mixable status from MusicIP (faster). When I ran the scan, the MusicIP Import line said it scanned all 7651 tracks (this is correct and I verified it with the MusicIP GUI and headless window). However after the scan successfully completed and I go into the SB Web GUI, I see that most of the tracks are missing. When I go back into the Information tab it says that only 1238 tracks are in the database. The only way it seems to pick up all the MusicIP tracks is if I specifically enter the path of where the files are located in the Music Folder setting. Does this sound right to anyone? The scan logs doesn't show anything out of the ordinary. I am running SBS version 7.6.1 - r33110, under Windows 7. Thanks, but can you explain why? The following are the instructions from the Integrating MusicIP with Sqeezecentre(http://wiki.slimdevices.com/index.php/Integrating_MusicIP_with_SqueezeCenter) configure SC to use MiP and remove any references in SC's setup to the library path - SC will take its cue from MiP's database and it will traverse the paths to your audio files as referenced in the MiP DB and find your artwork etc. SC will still take Artist, album and Track data from the audio files themselves. This approach also potentially eliminates SC doing a triple scan - 1st the MiP database, then the folders/ files it points to and then the path you've pointed to in SC's library path. As far as I can ascertain, the last scan would be redundant and just adds to your scanning time which we all know and love as it is :) MusicIP would not work until I did this. -- paul44birch paul44birch's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=37318 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=89962 ___ discuss mailing list discuss@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/discuss
