[Dx4win] How to keep track of JA awards?

I am interested in keeping track of JA awards in DX4WIN.

According to JARL general guidelines both QSL and eQSL are accepted but NOT
LotW.

It seems like DX4WIN does not accept eQSL for any award,

Any suggestions?

Hi Joseph,
When you have the QSOs you want to delete in the logbook window, click on
*QSO* in the logging window and choose *Multiple QSOs operations* (rar down
in the list) and then choose *Delete QSOs* (in the bottom of the list).

I suggest that you flag them with S (for submitted) in respective DXCC
fields (Mixed, Band and Mode) as needed.
Then it is easy to search for them and creat a list for submission. When
they have been accepted you could change the DXCC flags by go to
Reports|Award flags|Award DXCC mixed|Action Submitted -> Checked.
You have to repeat this for Award DXCC band and Award DXCC mode.

[Dx4win] An extra state in WAS listing

Hi all and HNY

When I was looking at my WAS listing I have got an extra state (3L) at the
end of the report list. I have tried to search for it both by clicking on
the C for the band in the list and searching (F8) for 3L in the state
field, but neither gave an answer.

I exported the whole log as a DXQ-file and tried to search it with a text
editor without success.

 When I look at the summary report for WAS ít is summarized to 51 of 50
available.

Does anyone have an idea of how to get rid of the 51st state in my WAS
reports.

Hi Luc,

All files downloaded from LOTW will by default  end up in the folder
Downloads. The first on will be called lotwreport.adi, the second
lotwreport(1).adi, the third lotwreport(2).adi until
lotwreport(99).adi thereafter the files will be named with current day's
date lotwreport211120.adi, if you do not delete them

I suggest you delete all your lotwreport files in your Download folder.
Then the next you download will be lotwreport.adi

Hi Eric,

You just import the ADIF file into Jim's program ADIF to DX4WIN. In the
program you could add the name in QSO Note field and if it is a contest
with serial numbers you could tick Exchg/Serial box and the serial number
you sent will turn up in the Notes for this QSO field in DX4WIN. If the
contest is not within the list of supported contests and if the exchange is
serial number you can use CQWPX contest instead.

[Dx4win] Multiple QSO operations

Is there any way to add the name of an IOTA island to many different
contacts? I ask since e.g. Great Britain is in most of the cases for all G
stations. As is 9H = Malta etc.

Hi Jay,

You may do a filter with just group names and group numbers . Export it and
open the file in Excel. Sort them and remove duplicates. Then you will have
a list of all your group names and numbers.

[Dx4win] Communication between DX4WIN and IC7600 does not work

Communication between DX4WIN and my ICOM 7600 does not work.

If I would like to grab a station from the Band Map the frequency changes
accordingly in the Frequency field but after approximately 5 seconds it
changes back to the previous frequency and nothing happens on the radio.

However, information from radio to program works nicely. If I turn the VFO
frequency changes in the Frequency field accordingly. The same is true for
band and mode changes.

Both N1MM and DXlog works nicely both directions.
I need help with suggestions what to do?

[Dx4win] Fwd: Why You Should Backup Your Log - NOW!

Just  comment;

I have my log saved in Dropbox. I can open it direct from DX4WIN and as
DX4WIN remember where the log file is it will always open it from Dropbox.
Files are stored and backed up in Dropbox. Since Dropboxfiles are reachable
from the computer when it is not connected to the net, it is always
possible to use the logbook and then when connected it will be saved
online. To be 'extra' sure I save the backup files to an external HD
directly from DX4WIN. Dropbox keeps track of versions so if something goes
wrong it is possible to go back to an earlier version of the log.

Hello Isidor

A way to do it is to search for all contacts you have confirmed by LOTW.
Press F8 and change LoTW Confirm to Y in the QSO window.
Then you have selected all your QSOs confirmed by LOTW.
Export them by clicking File|Import/Export and select DX4WIN9 in the
Import/Export window. Click File|Export. Save the file as e.g. LoTW
Exit Import/Export window by clicking File|Exit.
Create a new logbook by clicking File|New and name it e.g. LoTW.
Then import the file you just exported by clicking File|Import/Export and
select DX4WIN9 in the Import/Export window. Click File|Import and select
the file you just exported. Click open
Now you have a new logbook with just your contacts confirmed in LoTW and
you could create a DXCC report for them.

[Dx4win] IC7600 and DX4WIN hopefully the last time

Hello again,

I think I have solved the problem, however I do not understand why.

The problem was>
When I click on a spot in the band map or in the spot window the frequency
changes accordingly in the band map and in the logging window but after 1-2
s the frequency change back to the one seen on the radio. The mode has
changed both in the logging window and on the radio. However, if I change
the frequency or the mode on the rig it changes in DX4WIN. Thus, it is only
the communication of frequency from DX4WIN to the rig that does not work.

Then I tested to use ICOM 756 Pro III as rig but changed the address from
6E to 7A, then everything worked nicely.

I compared ICOm 756 Pro III and ICOM 7600 rig-files and one of the
differences were the ADDR line stating 110 for ICOM 7560 Pro III and 122
for ICOM 7600. All other differences are listed at the very end of all
other listings below.

I changed the address to 110 in the ICOM 7600 and the default address
changed to 6E in the radio setting window in DX4WIN. If running the program
as this the connection between  radio and program timed out and the
connection was disabled. Then I changed the address manually to 7A  in the
radio setting window in DX4WIN.  The result was a fully functional
connection between DX4WIN and the rig.

It seems like it was the presetting of ADDR=122 that made the problem. This
commadnd dit set 7A as default address in DX4WIN, but something must have
gone wrong.

I write all this in the hope that those who know programming than me should
be able to find a more proper solution.

I have got two comments from peoples that have had the same problem; one
who changed to another port to serial program and the other who used the
earlier version of Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART Bridge, i.e. v. 6.6.0.0.

As is it seems to work and I am happy with it. I have once again listed all
equipment, settings and program versions below.

Thanks for your suggestion Tibor.

I think something that the problem is the IC-7600 RIG file.

If I use ICOM 756 PRO III rig file and change the address to 7A Hex
everything works except if I press PSK on the radio, then the mode in the
log-window shows SSB. This is maybe how it should be if the PSK is
generated via the sound card in the rig.

I am not a programmer and can thus not compare the two RIG files.

Below I have added all the tests I have done and once again all settings
etc.

I have restarted the computer and the rig several times, but not in any
systematical way.

[Dx4win] Stil problems with my IC-7600

Hello again,

I have the following problems:
When I click on a spot either on the band plan or in the spot window. The
callsign turns up in the Callsign field in the loging window. The frequency
and the mode changes but the frequency goes back to the initial, i.e. the
one on the radio had at start while the mode changes to the one the station
I was clicking on had.

Eg. if the radio is on 14040 and cw and I click on SM0XX on 14253 DX4WIN
add SM0XX and SSB in respective field, the program also changes the
frequency to 14253 but after 2-3 seconds it changes back to 14040. When it
jump back the Follow radio box is ticked on the band map. The mode remains
on SSB.

If I turn the VFO dial on the rig the frequency changes accordingly in
DX4WIN and remains on the frequency set.

The same goes for changing mode on the rig, DX4WIN follows.

I can run my TS-590 over an USB A-B connection. I have it set up as second
radio and can start it within the program.

So my question is , why is not the frequency added in DX4WIN. What setting
have I missed?

Here are my settings. Using Windows 7 Professional
I use the Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART bridge

I have the com port set to:

What I see is that when I click on a spot o the band map the program
changes frequency bet then very soon goes back to the first one. The
callsign for the spoted station remains in the QSO window. When I turn the
dial on the radio the frequency changes in the band map and in the QSO
window in DX4WIN.

I have just bought an IC 7600 and have been struggling to get the
communication between the computer and the rig to work.

I us a Dell with XP professional 64 bits, DX4WIN 9.04 and have connected
the rig with an USB-cable. I have an SPE Expert 1K-FA amplifier connected
via ALC, Send and C-IV.

All baud rates are set the same 9600 in DX4WIN, the com port, the rig and
amplifier.

I have tried to use both ICOM 7600_250Hz and the ICOM 7600_500Hz

The program and rig do not match, when clicking on a spot or a spot from
the band map. It seems like it is the frequencies that do not match, mode
changes, but I have not tested this so much.

[Dx4win] Mode RTTYM

Hello,

Suddenly has RTTY changed to RTTYM in the list of modes.
All my old rtty contacts are listed as RTTY, however when adding a new QSO,
or since I work  AFSK I change the mode after the QSO to RTTY instead of
SSB, the only RTTY mode in my list is RTTYM. RTTYM is exported to the adif
file for uploadng to various databases.

Is this as it should be? I am using DX4WIN 9.02 and a lenovo ThinkPad X230.

[Dx4win] Too long callsigns?

Hello and HNY to you all,

Is there any possibility to change the field length of the Callsign field.
As is the Canadian calls VE100VIMY/Vxx is not possible to add into the log.

I guess it is possible tho change the adif file before loading it to LOTW,
but it will not be confimed in my log if the call is too long.

Any suggestions?

[Dx4win] Bug when importing from LOTW

Hello!

If stations from Russia has added their oblast in LOTW, those from
Moscow (MA) or Moscow region (MO) will in DX4WIN sometimes be added as
MA zone 5 or MO zone 4, respectively. Thus it seems like if there is
an abrevation that is the same as an US state it will be entered in
the state field and the CQ zone of that state will be added,
independent of country prefix. This has also true for one VK6 stations
(WA) and and one BY4 stations (SD).

I have attached a copy of a record from LOTW that afte import to
DX4WIN turns up as:
Perfix UA
State MO
Zone 4

It is not all imported records that have this effekt. The second
record (R3AG) did not add MA to the State field.

I am using DX4WIN 8.05 on a Lenovo Thinkpad X201 with Windows 7.

Hi Eric,

8.05 works great with Windows 7.

I recently tried to install 6.03 on my Windows 7 to test something for
someone. I could not get past the port problems. I finally was able to
get it going on my laptop running Windows XP.

There have been a lot of improvements since version 6, especially in
the area of LoTW and eQSL.

You need to install the port driver as administrator. You can find instructions 
on Jim 's (AD1C) website.

Hi Bob,

The easiest answer is to export your current log as an ADIF file and
import the ADIF file into DX4WIN. However, it is depending on how you
would like your logbook in DX4WIN to work. If you are working from
different QTHs or if you have different callsigns you may consider
using the group feature as been suggested by Kostas in another thread
above. Then you can combined all calls and QTHs for statistics, DXCC
and other diplomas.

I suggest that you start with a small portion of your log to see how
it works and if the result is satifactory.

supporting the report sent and received fields being output in the ADIF file 
from his contest logger. (Sent Received Numeric/Alpha)

Daniel, the problem is that DX4WIN supports ADIF level 1 and does not recognize 
those fields. Jim, AD1C has written a program that will put that information in 
QSO Notes for many contests:

:-) car c'est utilisé en base par tous les logiciels de Logs Donc par je ne 
récupère aucun report passés lors de différents contests

Ma question est donc :  comment faîtes vous pour récupérer ces champs depuis un

Be careful backing up like that because after saving to a new location that 
becomes the current file. I would suggest not using the same name for a backup 
file and if you do a backup by saving to a new location just reopen the 
original file immediately. BTW, I've done the same thing so speaking from 
experience. Glad you were able to recover.

However my HELP email was not necessary. I have found the problem. 14 days
ago I backed up my entire log onto a pen drive which I left plugged into a
USB connector on the PC. Since then every time I started DX4Win it opened
from the pen drive. This morning I unplugged the pen drive and then the log
opened from the g3svd.dxl file in the SAVE directory, which was missing all
the QSOs. All my qsos up to the moment that the screen froze were on the pen
drive. I have now copied that file into the save directory, deleted the old
one and all is working, good!!

Normally your log is saved in name.dxl file in dx4win/save directory.
Beside this there is a backup file with the name name.~xl
You need to rename this file to something like backup.dxl and open it. 
If it is better, save as and put the name you want.
If you have enabled the backup directory probably your log is there also.
I wonder if you had another directory where you save your log and after 
reboot, dx4win came back to its original configuration where it found an 
old dxl file. Search your computer for *.dxl and *.~xl

I think the best solution would be to have a configurable list of modes. I 
don't think Paul has the time to release an update every time a new mode comes 
on line

That is correct... it only works for us callsigns because only us addresses

Radio Amateur Callbook ("Flying Horse") works best with DX4WIN.  It can
populate State, Country, Drid and Name by clicking on a button in the

Hi again Alan,

I do not think it is possible to use any file for uploading to the
IOTA WEB page, you need to add them manually. Hopefully RSGB will
change this so it will be possible to upload ADIF files.

Thanks for reminding me of changing my e-mail address, the server has
been closed. The one I now will use is sm0...@ssa.se.

You cannot upload any files for IOTA awards unless you have
participated in the IOTA contest and submitted an cabrillo file for
participating in the contest. Then you can use that file to add the
new island you worked and that have been accepted as an valid contact
in the contest to your IOTA account. This is possible first when the
logs have been checked.

The change from submitted to checked
If you go in under the report heading in the top menu of the QSO
window and click on the Award flags button you can in the Award field
select IOTA mixed and in the Action field select Submitted -> Checked.
Then all contacts you have labeled with a S in the IOTA column and the
mixed field will be converted to a C for checked.

Good luck in the chasing of IOTAs

There are four different kinds of callsign matches.  It sounds like
you have "Fuzzy" selected in your preferences.

Having said that, if your QSO window is showing a particular call as
the result of a search, that same call/QSO should be highlighted in
both the Same Call and the Logbook windows.  If it is not, then
something is wrong.

Small edit to example filter set-up macro... a newline was dropped in my cut
and paste...

acc/sp 1 on HF and by_zone 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,14,33,35,40
acc/sp 2 on VHF and (call_zone 2,4,5 or by_zone 2,4,5)
rej/sp 1 by w3lpl

An explanation of the above...

On 160-10 I want to see spots from NA and Western EU
On  6 and up just from spotters or stations on the East Coast
Reject W3LPL spots

You can also refine it by band or range of bands if you wish... just use the
help command or consult the on-line documentation

Once you set up your filters on a DX cluster they will be persistent over
time unless the sysop does a major reset...

Is to export a DX4W log to an Excel or CSV file?  I'd like to keep a
spreadsheet with the details of my QSL's sent (addresses, return method,
etc.).  The "Basic" export gives a text file but it loads into Excel with
all the items for each QSO in one cell.


I tried to check the archives but didn't find anything.  They seem to be
organized by month and you'd have to open them one month at a time and scan
through.  Am I missing something?.  Is there a way to search them for a key
word, such as "CSV"?

After doing that, he needs to re-sign his log and re-upload to LoTW. Just
changing the station info isn't enough to correct this.
(It will fix it for future uploads, but won't get the grid square added to

I worked a Hungary station on 6 meters on June 29th.  A few days later, our
LOTW uploads matched giving me a new country on 6 for DXCC.  Unfortunately ,
he did not fill out his TQSL info so he had no zone or VUCC grid listed.  So
I did not get a VUCC match for his grid.

In DX4WIN, I show a letter "C" for a confirmation on VUCC reports as well as
the "C" for DXCC reports.  It should NOT show a VUCC match because he did
not list his grid.  I have asked him 3 times to complete the TQSL info and
resubmit all his erroneous uploads including mine (of course!), but he has
not done it and may not understand my English or want to do it.  I do have a
card in the mail system which , if received some day, will satisfy the VUCC
requirement for the ARRL.

But can't DX4WIN handle my situation so I do not show that the his grid has
been confirmed?

You can easily add the missing districts by open the awd file in the
save-directory with a text editor, e.g. Notpad. Search "City of Moscow

I found a bug in showing the logbook.



In my log I have 4 different QSO for JT on 20m in RTTY. (no one confirmed)

If I use the filter (dxcc JT, mode RTTY, band 20m) I see them al in the
logbook form.

If I double click in the DXCC-window on the 20m RTTY, when it shows my
standings for JT, it shows only 2 QSO. That is wrong.

When I double click on DIG in the DXCC-window I see them all (include qso's
on outher bands in RTTY for JT) in the logbook form.

2 of the 4 qso's have a QSL-date. Those that are no QSL-date are not listed.
If I change the uploaddate for one of the qso's without qsl-date. I have the
same result.

If I set a QSL-date then the QSO appear in the logbook form. 

I like more that all qso's appear regardless a QSL is send or not.

Is there a way to get Continent included in the reports? I cannot find
it as a tag in the report editor. The cty file includes this
information.

It would be handy to have this information, since I would be easier to
create statistics on scout camps and other public activities

Go to the menu. File , export and select ADIF.

If you upload regularly to LotW you can just upload your LotW submission
file (the .adi not the .tq8) each lime to keep them both current.

Think about what you just wrote. OK I agree, it's a great idea if you never 
make mistakes. However, most of us do. DX4Win is an old design where networking 
was never considered. If networking is required there are plenty of loging 
programs that do this properly.

I do occasionally operate from a second location. I just keep separate logs and 
merge.

PC1 is the server (with SSD drive)

I have bought licenses for all 3 but prefer Radmin (screen delay is nearly 0 
when using digital modes)
PC1 is started up with Radmin server (I only reboot this PC once in a month, no

DX4WIN is started and running 24/24 (with dropbox for backup etc)

Here I start Radmin viewer and take over the screen from PC1

Here I also start Radmin viewer and take over the screen from PC1

You can type on any computer and all others are updating without delay.
After each qso I log I have the habit to use ALT-S (qso is written to disk and 
also dropbox is updated)


Without delay means that you must have reliable network and if you do it from 
remote location high speed internet

DX4WIN is not designed to share its log file. It keeps QSOs in memory and 
writes them to disk periodically, What this means is that if you log a QSO on 
one machine it won't be seen on the others. That means that QSOs will get lost 
(you log 3 QSOs on computer 'A', then go to computer 'B'. It doesn't see those 
QSOs, so when you write the log on computer 'B' they're lost).

Trying to do what you propose will quickly corrupt your log.

DX4WIN is not designed to share its log file. It keeps QSOs in memory
and writes them to disk periodically, What this means is that if you
log a QSO on one machine it won't be seen on the others. That means
that QSOs will get lost (you log 3 QSOs on computer 'A', then go to
computer 'B'. It doesn't see those QSOs, so when you write the log on
computer 'B' they're lost).

Trying to do what you propose will quickly corrupt your log.

perceived problem... maybe we can help. If you are concerned about accuracy of 
DXCC info, it might be best to use the current file maintained by Jim... it is 
highly accurate going back decades.

What makes you think you can? I took a quick look at the VE3SUN site and I
didn't see anything about it including a Telnet server, just a client. Why
don't you use VE7CC's software. It does work with DX4Win and it's free.

For DXSpider, I keep a test file SpotFilter.txt with the following:

acc/sp 1 on HF and by_zone 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,9,10,11,14,15,40
acc/sp 2 on VHF and (call_zone 2,4,5 or by_zone 2,4,5)
rej/sp 1 by w3lpl

The I load a function key with the macro Filter|%fSpotFilter.txt%

You could load one key with the AR Cluster filer commands and another with
DXSpider syntax

running Version 6 :

It excludes K & VE stations from being spotted  AND It supplies spots only

The Node I use has VERY flexible filters. I have had the "certain" spotter's
un-hearable spots completely eliminated. The Node allows me to filter by
Continent, Spotter, Country, etc., etc., etc.
 
AND, the Node has Skimmers which can be turned on/off at will and set to
only spot by numerous criteria.  It's pretty new and absolutely great!!
 
Everyone should give it a try!!  It's  KQ8M.NO-IP.ORG
 
It's run by Tim KQ8M who is a long-time DX-er and Contester and he bends
over backwards to accomodate the Users' needs.
 
Tim will help you set up a Filter customized for you.  Once you have it, you
can possibly use it on your regular Cluster.

Credits received before the computerization of the ARRL DXCC program turns
up as the entities prefix i.e. EP2AU worked in 1964 turns up as EP in the
list. My suggestion is that if you have contacts from this time and do not
know which one actually was used; choose one of the stations you have a QSL
card from then you can change that QSO's
DXCC award flags to match the DXCC credit shown on LoTW.as Jim suggest in
his mail. It is not the actual callsign that is compared in Jim's very
useful program.

I've seen that too, and a few other strange things can happen when doing 
multiple searches such as QSLing. I use Dave's "work-around" or if it 
really does something strange, I restart DX4Win just to be sure. I'd 
hate to save my log with some random filter active.

The main issue with Vista onwards is the Directory trees "Program Files" 
and "Program files (x86)" are not normally writable... a change long 
overdue. What I did to get around this was create a new directory tree I 
call "programs" and install there, along with some other ham stuff that 
would have the same issues. The only other issue is the installation of 
the LPT driver if you need it. Just follow the directions.

You can create a macro file with the following lines:
CQ CQ CQ de %~ %~ %!

That's nothing to do with the list, you obviously have Outlook set up as 
your default mail program. Easily changed in Control Panel.

Also, most of the stuff in archive you indicated is from many years 
ago... before DX4Win supported LotW. DX4Win has been around a lot longer 
than LotW. I saw no posts in the first few pages relative to your "issue".

To summarize... there are no issues regarding states with the current or 
recent versions of DX4Win... there is no issues with the list... there 
are no issues with the list's users. How else can we help you?

DX4Win doesn't work as you describe... you never have to scroll through 
the modes or bands you don't use. The modes/bands you enable are always 
first in the drop-down list, no need to scroll further.  This way you 
can still log a mode that is not actively tracked. You can select the 
modes by pressing the first letter... since the active modes are first, 
you will always select the active mode.

What would be useful would be a user configurable mode table as DX4Win 
is always behind as far as digital modes are concerned.

I wonder if the best solution would be to use one of the many QSL label 
printing products out there, many are free. You export to them in the 
same way I use a QSL service... using filters and ADIF. DX4Win has the 
tools to set/unset flags and dates to do it quite easily.

Current versions have a menu item under QSO to mark invalid for all 
awards... however, in some cases you can fix the QSO. If you do 
invalidate it its probably easier to change the group number to easily 
skip it for future uploads.

More likely off screen. An easy solution is right click on the Windows 
taskbar and select show windows side by side. They will then be all 
visible and you can then rearrange them.

Make sure the updater program is in the same directory as DX4Win.exe. Do 
you have more than one copy/version?

I just set the Import preferences to show differences and ask by 
default. That way you can review any mismatches and choose DX4Win or the 
import data.

I see this  exact problem sometimes when I switch OS. Cure is as you 
describe. It's because those keys are state toggles and can get out of sync.

IMO it's never going to happen Ernie...

You have to understand that DX4Win is designed primarily as an award 
chasing and tracking program. What you are complaining about is one of 
it's best features... for award tracking you generally only care about 
current information. One edit and it's all up to date! For those 
exceptional situations where you need info linked to a QSO instead of 
the callsign, you have the free-form  "Notes for this QSO". If what you 
want is a historical archive of all your contacts, then you should 
transfer your DX4Win QSO's to something better suited. A program like 
DXKeeper would be the ticket, and it's free.

I believe Paul tried to implement the auto-login to a cluster last 
version but it didn't make the release due to some technical issues. 
Maybe next time.

The trouble with auto login to LotW, automatic retrieval of data from 
QRZ (other than the paid subscription to the XML feed) and similar 
features is it generates a lot of maintenance headaches. I prefer DX4Win 
to be stable, and I think Paul is past the point he likes to tinker with 
DX4Win for the sake of tinkering.

So I think we might see auto-login to the spotting networks, and we 
might see support for the QRZ com XML interface next major release... 
but I'm pretty skeptical about the rest.

Pretty busy weekend planned, but I'll try and get on 10 for a couple of 
hours anyway. Should be interesting...

Nope... Paul should not waste time on Contest features because they 
require constant attention to changes. Even casual contesters should 
consider a free contest program, they are so much better suited. I use 
N1MM. It gets pretty involved if you want to use all the features... but 
you don't need all the features for causal operating like I'm doing in 
the 160 contest this weekend.

My "other" logging program, Logic (Hosenose.com) does but I never used 
it. Automatically loading information can be prone to errors. On VHF, 
for example the same station may be worked in different grids. Also, the 
info on the site may be based on post office data, not the stations QTH. 
Not everybody keeps this data current on QRZ.COM. I would suspect some 
of the same issues might apply to counties.

[Dx4win] Calendar filled with duplicates

Hi all,

I have problem with the calendar. There is no problem to get the new
calendar file from the save directory but when importing it, it just
fills the calendar with the same information. I have now duplicates of
several of the DX-peditions. I cannot find a way of clearing the
calendar except from do it one by one. How should I do to clear the
calendar and start all over?

[Dx4win] Sent RTTY text appears backwards on screen

Hi all,
I have tried to configure RTTY and it seems to transmit. However when I try
to read the text that is sent it is printed backwards on the screen and
nothing is saved. I have not tried to use it in practise but have to ask if
I have missed any settings. When using P>SK everything looks normal..

[Dx4win] Zone conflicts after importing the log from CQWW

Hi,

When importing my log from CQWW i got 23 conflicting zones reports. The are
all concerning stations within zone 4 and 5. Some might be my error but
other not, e.g. K5ZD reported zone 5 but when importing the zone was
changed to 4. Is there a way to check these?
N1MM, the contest logging program I use, did not report any zine error.
However, I do not think check routine is based on callsign and US state.
A little comment out of the topic - it was amazing conditions during this
weekends contest. I hope they remain.
