Re: [Elecraft] K2 Filter Question

2010-10-13 Thread Don Wilhelm
  Curt,

You observations are likely to be correct, but I would check the
centering using Spectrogram or similar just in case your audio "ears"
are not telling you the whole story.

For instance, if you have a bad crystal in the variable IF filter, there
would be some variation in the filter passband and that would lead you
to erroneous conclusions about the filter performance.

Re: [Elecraft] K2 Filter Question

2010-10-13 Thread Curt
Thanks Don,

If the center frequencies were off, what would be the behavior tuning
through a CW signal? As I tune through a signal, the highest strength
happens about halfway through the respective width, at an audible frequency
that beats with the sidetone frequency in "spot". I would think if the
center were off, then the maximum would happen somewhere away from the
center frequency.

[Elecraft] K3 RTTY bug

2010-10-13 Thread Barry
  OK, here's a weird one...

I'm calling some of the PJs in RTTY, using Data Mode FSK and Text
Decode, operating Split.
I have my callsign programmed in M1. I have my callsign x2 followed by
IM in M2.
When I call with M1 or M2 only, all is OK. If I call with M1 followed
by M2, chaining them together, when back in Rx, the background noise is
present, but there are no signals. If I press A/B twice, signals return.

Re: [Elecraft] Sometimes this radio drives me nuts

2010-10-13 Thread Wayne Burdick
The "SPL N/A" message has been in the firmware for a very long time.
It's telling you that SPLIT is not applicable to the present cross-
mode settings of VFO A and B. Cross-mode SPLIT is allowed in some
cases, such as CW/SSB and SSB/CW.

You can check or change the VFO B mode using BSET.

Re: [Elecraft] K2 Filter Question

2010-10-13 Thread Don Wilhelm
  Curt,

I suspect that your filter center frequencies are off.

Try using Spectrogram. That will display not only the filter center
frequencies, but also the amplitude.
If your K2 is typical, change the 0.10 filter to 0.20. The filter width
does not chance appreciably at widths less than 0.20, but the
attenuation does increase.

If you do not have Spectrogram, it can be downloaded from www.n0ss.net,
and Tom has several documents dealing with how to set up Spectrogram on
your computer.

Also take a look at my website www.w3fpr.com article dealing with K2
Dial Calibration. Part 3 of that article deals with filter setup.

[Elecraft] K2 Filter Question

2010-10-13 Thread Curt
I completed K2 s/n06424 about two years ago, the only option is the KSB2,
rarely used. The filters are OP1, 0.7, 0.4, and 0.1 The 0.7 and 0.4
filters seem to exhibit what seems to me to be excessive signal attenuation.
Strangely, this doesn't seem to be the case for the 0.1 filter. This has
always been true since the unit was completed. Am wondering if somehow the
passband is off.

Any advice would be appreciated.

HRD version 5.0. I can mouse-click on a frequency in HRD and the K3
QSYs normally and stays there. I can also QSY using the P3 markers and
both the K3 and HRD are happy.

Which software versions are you running?

Does is only do it when you click on a DX cluster spot or does it also
do it when you click on a frequency on the "dial" in the HRD screen?

The P3 is supposed to freeze when the K3 is transmitting. However, when the
K3 is set for CW semi break in, it unfreezes after the first character.
This is a bug not a feature. :=)

If you would like to view your transmitted signal for test purposes, you can
do it by temporarily disconnecting the RS-232 cable to the K3. That
disables the freeze-on-transmit function. What you are viewing is stray IF
leakage coming out the K3's IF OUT connector. The signal level is rather
low and varies with drive level, frequency band, and the particular K3.

However, I do find it useful for adjusting the transmit equalizer. With my
K3 set for SSB, I turned on peak hold on the P3 and talked into the mic for
a few seconds. The peak value is a fair representation of the transmitted
spectrum. I could see that it was way too bassy (low audio frequencies
stronger than the highs) which results in a muddy-sounding signal that lacks
"punch". It took maybe 5 minutes playing around with the K3 TX equalizer to
get a nice flat spectrum.

I first tested the CAT command "FAxxx;" (xs being the

the same commands successfully, but HRD reported a ERROR in the

the HRD ERROR handler might be saying "bad command" and restores the

In my experience (at least 30 years), UPS has always had great drivers

businesses), dropped off packages and picked up what we had. In the
rental that I had for 20 years in a Chicago residential neighborhood, in
the Chicago home I owned for 20 years, and now here in CA in the woods,
I've gotten to know my drivers within a few months. We've developed a
relationship, they know what to do with anything they have for me, and I
know how to hail them to give them a package for shipment. My wife and I
get an average of two UPS deliveries a week, without any problems.

Bottom line --get to know your UPS person and everything will go smoothly.

BTW -- if you want lousy service and careless deliveries without a
signative, try DHL. In my busy Chicago neighborhood, they repeatedly
threw valuable packages across my fence, only a few feet from the

some el cheapo computer vendors who I bought stuff from did.

Re: [Elecraft] K2 LSB Modulation issue

2010-10-13 Thread Michael Jensen
Don your are the man

Once again you have helped a Elecraft product on it´s way

15pF across pin 3 and 6 of U11 pulling the crystals did make the difference.
Now the BFO range are within the window given in the manual.
Also the reports on my LSB modulation are way better. Not in the prefect
level, but way better then it was... I would say with some more filter
tuning on the FL1 for TX and the Smaller bandwidth filters for SSB. #5111
are fit for fight for more qso.

Looking back in the manual at my own notes it is now clear, that I ignored
the warning signs when the limits of the BFO was tested. One end are indeed
not within the window. Properly intoxicated from the solder fumes and the
eagerness to build you get from a K2 made me never to readdressed that fact.

Thanks
Don I owe you a beer.. Maybe in Dayton

  Michael,

First a comment - why use SSB FL4 set to 700 Hz width for PSK and have
to remember to turn the compression off when using digital modes? It is
much easier (IMHO) to go to the secondary menu and turn the RTTY filter
set on. That gives you a compression setting independent of that used
for SSB - just set it to 1:1 for the RTTY filters and be done with it.

I usually set RTTY FL1 the same as SSB FL1 OP1 filter and the BFOs the
same. That gives you a full width passband for normal point and click
in the waterfall. Then I set FL2 to 1.00, FL3 to 0.70 and FL4 to 0.40
to give narrow RTTY filters when QRM shows up - yes you have to tune to
the filter center with the VFO, but at least you can continue
operating. Center the narrow RTTY filters at 1000 Hz, and easy number
to remember and it works well with MMTTY when the mark frequency is set
to 915 Hz.

Now on to your question - yes, that is a problem - the low end of your
BFO range is too high. You can increase both C173 and 174 keeping the
ratio close to 3:1, or you can try an easier fix first, solder a small
value capacitor from the juction of the crystals to ground (U11 pins 6
and 3 maje nice anchor points). I would not exceed 27 pF with this
added capacitor because it can decrease the BFO RF voltage level. Check
both the high and low end of the BFO range after making this change (see
manual page 62). The high must be greater than 4916.3 and the low less
than 4912.7. If you cannot achieve the correct range with this single
capacitor addition, you will have to change both C173 and C174. I would
try 100 pF and 330 pF to see if that brings it into range.

You may want to write down the frequencies (not the DAC values) of the
BFOs that you already have set because all the BFO settings will be
shifted and you will have to do the filters over again.

Don W3FPR

Re: [Elecraft] K3 Shipped But Requires Signature!!!

2010-10-13 Thread Don Wilhelm
It all depends on the driver.
Fortunately, I have a good one for UPS, and he knows me well. He has to
drive over 0.7 miles of unpaved road and then up my 1/4 mile driveway to
get to the house, and he has never failed me. He knows how to put any
parcels in a safe place if I am not here. Yes, I have signed a waiver
of signature.
The USPS delivery person is very good too.
The FedEx drivers here are unpredictable, and always seem to arrive when
I am away, so I get notes on the door from them.
DHL (when they were delivering here) was just awful - leaving parcels at
the wrong address, or just putting them somewhere on the driveway.
So if you ship anything to me, use UPS or USPS for best results.

Please also note that for every bad experience with UPS there are an
equivalent number of bad experiences with FEDEX, DHL and many, many, many
more horror stories with the Post Office - especially if you add
international shipping to the mix.

All of them involve people and people make mistakes. As one who ships
thousands of packages a year with UPS, I can report that the problems are
with much less than one tenth of one percent of the total. UPS handles
millions of packages and there are bound to be some small percentage where
things go wrong.

For those who end up as one of that very small percentage, that does not
help. But, the reality is that such problems are very, very rare.

Don't take my comments as defending UPS - their weak point is not being
able to respond adequately when things do go wrong - it's just that it is
indeed rare when they do. I tell my UPS rep that they either get an "A" or
an "F" when things go wrong. There's no middle ground with them.

2010-10-13 Thread ab2tc

People's experience with UPS is obviously all over the place. My own
experience with UPS is excellent. When a signature is required, they will
make three attempts (three days in a row) to deliver it. After that I would
have to go to their depot which is fortunately not that far away. That may
have happened once when we forgot or weren't able to arrange for somebody to
be home. I will choose UPS ground again.

Re: [Elecraft] P3 - Displaying my signal

2010-10-13 Thread Alan Bloom
The P3 is supposed to freeze when the K3 is transmitting. However, when
the K3 is set for CW semi break in, it unfreezes after the first
character. This is a bug not a feature. :=)

If you would like to view your transmitted signal for test purposes, you
can do it by temporarily disconnecting the RS-232 cable to the K3. That
disables the freeze-on-transmit function. What you are viewing is stray
IF leakage coming out the K3's IF OUT connector. The signal level is
rather low and varies with drive level, frequency band, and the
particular K3.

However, I do find it useful for adjusting the transmit equalizer. With
my K3 set for SSB, I turned on peak hold on the P3 and talked into the
mic for a few seconds. The peak value is a fair representation of the
transmitted spectrum. I could see that it was way too bassy (low audio
frequencies stronger than the highs) which results in a muddy-sounding
signal that lacks "punch". It took maybe 5 minutes playing around with
the K3 TX equalizer to get a nice flat spectrum.

Re: [Elecraft] K3 Shipped But Requires Signature!!!

2010-10-13 Thread Lu Romero
Noted. I dont blame Elecraft, however. Elecraft is just
using a "cheap" method of sending because, well, because
this is what we asked for...

Let me tell you my latest UPS story...

I ordered a XG2 and two KSYN Shields from Elecraft and had
them sent UPS Ground. Both my wife and I work, so we were
not home when UPS came to the door.

I wondered where the package was, so I looked it up on the
UPS website. It said it was "Delivered to a Woman". Said
so right there on the website! But I never got the package!
I checked with all my neighbors, they didnt get the package
either!

I emailed Elecraft. They got right on it and sent me my
order via USPS (Thanks! Handled just as I would have
handled it!).

Next day, I had a Orange tag on my door asking me to
URGENTLY contact UPS at an *ORLANDO* address (I live in
Tampa, 100 miles away). But there was no phone number, only
a street address! I looked the phone number up on the web
and called. The VRU on the phone number had no option for
me to ask about my package shipment error, and hung up on
me! So I called it back and lied to it. I then got a human
who took my number and said "some one in Tampa will contact
you within the hour".

Several hours later, a nice young voice did contact me to
tell me that the package was delivered "to a woman" at my
address. I reminded her that I had no package and that
there was no woman at my address at that time. She then
said "Are you sure? Have you asked everybody at that
address?" I reminded her that it was a single family home,
that my wife is the only female at that address and that
neither she nor I had been home to get the package. She
again asked me "are you sure?" So I said "Do you have a
delivery signature?" She told me "No, the shipper did not
require one, but from now on, we will not deliver packages
to your address without a signature, no matter how small".

I gave up in desperation, told her that Elecraft had already
mailed me a replacement order and if they find the package,
they should just send it back to Elecraft.

That evening, a UPS agent came to my door. They had me sign
a non delivery form, which they did not offer to give me a
copy of. Then they told me that they would get back to me
after their investigation of the package's wherabouts.

One work week later, Im still waiting for them to get back
to me.

Use USPS or FedEx next time, as I will. After this and the
utter destruction of a video server securely packaged in a
ATA certified SKB shipping crate that I shipped UPS ground
the week before for my company, and I have had a bad month
dealing with UPS.

Mark,

To provide a shippers' perspective on this, just suppose
that it was
delivered and left at your front door without anyone signing
for it.

Then, some criminal comes to your home, sees it on your
porch, and takes it.

Your radio is gone, and UPS has proof that they were there
(their GPS-based
system proves where the driver was and where he scanned the
barcode on your
package) and who loses?

In this case *YOU* would lose all of your money.

Elecraft would not, and neither would UPS. UPS can prove
that the package
was left on your porch.

This is why signature required is appropriate for high-value
shipments. It
ultimately protects you from loss.

If you cannot be at home to receive a shipment, as others
have suggested
make other arrangements - either to be at home yourself
(preferred) or have
it delivered somewhere else.

2010-10-13 Thread Alan Bloom

I have had good service with FedEx and the US Postal Service but not
with UPS.

I live on a private road out in the country. The mailboxes are about a
mile away from my house, near where the private road starts. The UPS
guy insists on leaving packages sitting on top of the mailboxes so he
doesn't have to drive the extra distance on the private road.
Apparently he was documenting the packages as being delivered to my
doorstep.

That is a clear violation of UPS policy. However it took me half a
dozen phone calls over a period of weeks, ending up with his
supervisor's supervisor, to get him to stop doing that. I notice he is
still doing it with my neighbors.

I've had a lot of problems with UPS over the years.

[Elecraft] P3 - Displaying my signal

2010-10-13 Thread Gary Ferdinand
A new feature seems to have appeared with my K3/P3 combo, both factory
assembled. Whenever I key the K3 on an empty daytime 80 meter band, I get a
narrow, but strong waveform down about 300-400 Hz from the marked carrier
frequency. If I hold key down for a few seconds the spike builds to about
-80dBm from a noise base of about -130dBm.I searched the archives but
all I saw was something about a phantom signal. This is not phantom at all.
Of course it also shows brilliantly in the waterfall display.

I have checked that all cables and power connected to both units are well
attached. Also, this feature appears to be new, have been created overnight
by Murphy. All suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Re: [Elecraft] K3 Shipped But Requires Signature!!! [END of Thread]

2010-10-13 Thread Eric Swartz - WA6HHQ, Elecraft
Let's end this thread for now.

As a general note, we insure K3 shipments due to their high value. UPS,
and most other shippers, do not allow us to waive the signature
requirement on insured packages. Individual drivers may have agreements
with recipients that are different than this, be we can't control that
from here.

Best bet for large value shipments is to ship them to your work address
if you do not have someone at home to receive them. That's what I do
when I buy high value items for my personal use.

The original poster on this thread called us and we were able to reroute
the package to his work address.

Hi Mark (and group),

If you think signing for a package is a hassle, just try filing a claim for
lost one. I had a package (containing one xtal filter) taken off my porch
about 15 years ago. Didn't realize that it was missing till I contacted the
vendor asking about the long delivery. Even though the value was just under
$100, the claim became a prolonged battle among vendor, UPS and me. It took
about 5 months till the vendor was finally paid by UPS. Only then would they
ship a second filter. All this time the vendor had my money; I had paid by
check.

Since then, I've had valuable packages sent to my office. If your employer
won't allow personal deliveries, a business near your home (one where your have
a regular relationship) might accept and sign for your packages. My
neighborhood animal hospital does this for several customers.

The irony of my lost filter? I found it about 9 months later while doing some
landscape work. Someone (kids?) had stuffed the package into a Yew bush about
20 feet from my front door. The bush was dense, the package small and it would
have stayed there forever if I hadn't done major trimming.

[Elecraft] K3 Shipped But Requires Signature!!!

2010-10-13 Thread Edward R. Cole
Mark,

That was my situation for receiving UPS/FedEx when I was a bachelor
and at work. My solution was for delivery to made to my
workplace. I let others at work know I was expecting a personal
shipment to arrive so they would sign for it if I were out. Also, I
developed a good relationship with my UPS driver over the years where
I had many UPS deliveries for work. I had to inform him not to drop
anything at my old workplace after they laid me off. In my case, the
driver has the same delivery area to my home.

I would not be too comfortable with a very expensive shipment being
dropped off at my door without someone home (signature or
not). Signature ensures for Elecraft that the intended individual
receives the shipment and is proof of delivery in case of any dispute
with the buyer (just good business practice). This protects UPS from
bogus insurance claims, too.

I sell some things overseas on e-bay and always insist on
signature. In some countries mail theft is a big issue. And I
suppose it may be in some areas of the USA.

I was home the day my K3 (4043) was delivered. It as Christmas that
day (My wife informed me that was my next ten years Christmas present).

[Elecraft] Sometimes this radio drives me nuts

2010-10-13 Thread Wes Stewart
I was just in a pileup on 17-meters trying to work PJ4D on RTTY.

He of course was working split, so I tuned him in on 18.100 with VFO A and
locked it.

I don't have a second receiver, but do use an SDR-IQ as a panadapter so I could
see the mob up 1-4 KHz.  Before joining the fray I decided to check the audio
drive level so I hit the "Test" (Mode ^) button.

Apparently, as is often the case, I didn't hold it long enough the first time
and it took a second try.  Completing the test I returned to TX normal, ready
to rock-n-roll.

The problem was, I didn't hear him anymore.  After some head (and other parts
of the anatomy) scratching I noted that my "locked" VFO was now on 18.100450.

I've since determined that while in "Split" and "Data" mode, by pressing "Mode
Up" --- by mistake in this case---  the radio attempts to change to CW but
can't because split doesn't allow it, but before figuring this out, it inserted
a 450 Hz offset, which is the beat note that I use on CW.

In the meantime, he went to working EU only.  Almost as frustrating as calling
and calling one of the PJs last night without success and moments after QSYing
to a clearer transmit frequency, having him answer me.

Nate,

You might want to read this thread:

and then decide that trying to calibrate the wattmeter is counterproductive.

entry should be adjusted as the number on the VFO A line does not change
when TUNE is active.  What I have done instead is to press XMIT to kill
the carrier after reading the value on the Wattmeter and then setting
WMTR HP to the real Wattmeter value and pressing TUNE again to see that
the K2's Wattmeter and the external meter now each read 50 Watts.  If
that is correct, could this be made a bit more clear?   This had me

Re: [Elecraft] K3 Intermod with IF NB

2010-10-13 Thread Wayne Burdick
Hi Ian,

The I.F. blanker should be run at the lowest effective level. It is
intended for use on short-duration, high-energy pulse noise.

You might try using the DSP blanker first. Since it is post-crystal-
filter, it cannot cause mixing to occur between multiple signals
outside the filter passband.

Typically a combination of the I.F. and DSP blankers and the NR will
be the most effective.

[Elecraft] K3 Intermod with IF NB

2010-10-13 Thread g0afh
  Hello,

Primarily I use my K3 to drive transverters for the higher bands. I
transvert to 2m from 20m using the transverter interface on the k3.

Conditions on 2m have been enhanced in recent days so there a few big
signals on the band. Last night I needed to use the NB to deal with some
local power line noise. With the NB on there is far more intermod than I
would have expected.

Locally I have a beacon on 144.43 (s9+40). Station A on 144.32 (110KHz
from the beacon) could also be heard on 144.210. Station B on 144.270
(160KHz from the beacon) could be heard on 144.110. Both stations were
over s9. In both cases the spurious signals were around s4-5, distorted,
but easily identifiable.

Switching off the IF NB makes the spurious signals disappear.

Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised, using the NB is never a good idea with
strong signals around.

Ian.

Barry,

The problem for me was having the balance control on the outer concentric
ring of the knob set. I modified my K3 so that the top knob set is
configured for MAIN AF/RF Gain, with MAIN RF Gain on the outer knob, and
MAIN AF Gain on the inner knob. The SUB AF/RF function is now located on
the bottom, with the SUB RF Gain on the lower outer knob, and SUB AF
Gain/BALANCE on the lower inner knob. The ergonomic difference is like
night and day.

When I activate split, I can manipulate the lower inner knob between the DX
station and the called station. I really detest having to manipulate the
outer ring to balance between stations. The propensity for disrupting the
alternate knobs is much greater. Further, at the suggestion from someone
else on the list, I replaced both knob sets with Alcoswitch black anodized
types through Mouser. The inner knob extends just slightly more, making the
DX split experience even more enjoyable.

The mod is easily reversible and requires swapping pot leads on the Main DSP
board. An even better solution could come from Elecraft through firmware.
Since the pots are all of the same resistance value, a firmware command
could be used to swap these functions.

Paul, W9AC

[Elecraft] Re. - O.T. UPS delivery

2010-10-13 Thread J. Heide
Most hams get a lot of UPS deliveries. I am both a ham and restore old cars. I
got to know my UPS driver well. If I know I have a package coming, I try to
flag him down and let him know. Then I leave one of my cars unlocked, he puts
the package in the car, and locks it up! Probably against protocol, but if both
of you are OK with it, fine. If he delivers while you are at work, look for him
in your neighborhood on you way home and flag him down. Mr. UPS is a good man
to be friends with, and every one I have ever dealt with has been a real nice
fellow. Also, once Elecraft gets to know you as a customer, I have had no
problems getting things shipped to my work or my parents house. I even got the
mailman to be good this way, too, but he's a friends uncle.

[Elecraft] K3 SUB AF - NOR or BALANCE?

2010-10-13 Thread Barry
Playing with the SUB for the first time since I got the radio chasing
the PJs out there.
First, I thought SUB was broken when the subrx was dead when I turned it
on. Then, the aha hit me and I checked the antenna setting and default
was not ANT1.

Anyway, I'm currently using the default settings where each AF knob is
independent. In my previous radios, it's always been a Balance knob, so
I'm thinking of changing it to that. Any comments, pro or con?

Re: [Elecraft] K3 Shipped But Requires Signature!!!

2010-10-13 Thread n6lrv
That doesn't work in my area- UPS ignores such notes. I recently went through
the same problem and was able to get the package redirected. Elecraft told me
they insure the package and by doing so they are bound by a UPS policy that
requires a signiture on the recipient's end. Elecraft does offer other shipping
options but they can cost a little extra. I suppose it's just another cost of
doing business these days.

2010-10-13 Thread George & Jan
The delivery notice that UPS left had several options for you. Just call
them and they will work with you to make delivery. Usually they will try
again the next day - you can also leave a signed note for them with your
instructions.

I leave in the country with the nearest UPS center about 60 miles away over
the mountains. I have always gotten very good service from both UPS & FedEx
in regards to redelivering.

Re: [Elecraft] K3 Shipped But Requires Signature!!!

2010-10-13 Thread Bob Naumann
Mark,

To provide a shippers' perspective on this, just suppose that it was
delivered and left at your front door without anyone signing for it.

Then, some criminal comes to your home, sees it on your porch, and takes it.

Your radio is gone, and UPS has proof that they were there (their GPS-based
system proves where the driver was and where he scanned the barcode on your
package) and who loses?

In this case *YOU* would lose all of your money.

Elecraft would not, and neither would UPS. UPS can prove that the package
was left on your porch.

This is why signature required is appropriate for high-value shipments. It
ultimately protects you from loss.

If you cannot be at home to receive a shipment, as others have suggested
make other arrangements - either to be at home yourself (preferred) or have
it delivered somewhere else.

Subject: [Elecraft] K3 Shipped But Requires Signature!!!

I can't believe that Elecraft is sending my K3 requiring a signature! How
do they expect a working person to be at home when UPS delivers to get a
signature??? When I ordered the rig over the phone nobody told me that this
is the way they ship. And to boot, I would have to drive over one hour to a
UPS delivery center to pick up the radio. I certainly hope they will call me
tomorrow and straighten this whole mess out. This certainly does not give
me a good impression about the company. Just venting Mark KB3Z

Re: [Elecraft] K3 Shipped But Requires Signature!!!

2010-10-13 Thread N3XX
I had mine shipped to a UPS store near where I work. When I went in to pick
it up, they just handed the box to me & didn't ask for a signature. I was
kind of surprised that they didn't want me to provide identification or a
signature.

Re: [Elecraft] How to program quick 100 or 200 KHz QSY

2010-10-13 Thread Val
Wayne,

It seems that something like FA(FA;+10) wouldn't work now, but do you
have plans to make possible SET(f(GET)) commands in the future?

[Elecraft] WTB - KAT3

2010-10-13 Thread Johnny Siu
Hello Group,

I am looking for a KAT3.  If you have one spare, please email me off list.

If you have other surplus K3 options, please email me as well.  These options
are small and can be sent readily by USPS priority mail.  I can pay you by
check
of a bank in US or paypal.

Re: [Elecraft] K3 Shipped But Requires Signature!!!

2010-10-13 Thread Ian Maude
I would totally expect something of this value to require a signature. To
that end, I make sure that I am going to be home (or have someone in the
house) when a parcel is to be delivered. If I cannot get anyone there, I
have it delivered to a friend or neighbours house.
