The Guru Dev yagna and Maharishi Effect would of course be seized by the local police as more cops on the beat, by the military as their getting new, more powerful weapons. Even the crime rate going down because (now this one was difficult even for me) the percentage of young, tending towards crime, men had dropped. Didn't you get the memo?

So be ready for world peace or total disruption of Western Civilization. One or the other. Or something in between. Details when the event happens. Unless nothing happens. If nothing happens we'll announce that something really bad was supposed to happen but we prevented it. We'd publish a flowchart of the possibilities but our compsci students create flow charts and our compsci enrollment is way down. Oh, wait. This requires advanced math knowledge, the kind necessary to understand quantum mechanics. But Maharishi told us that there is no math but Vedic Math. Get it?

He claims that the energy of this period, started in 1980 and goes to 2016, where the earth is aligning itself with the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, and our sun, and that there will be a bright star, a sun, which will also be revealed, because of the position of the earth, and that 2012, is at the height of the energy which will be hitting the earth... It's good to hear that the TMO is winning over the nutjobs of the world. That's a section of society that can't be ignored because they're more numerous than serious academics. Maybe they can employ a few of these people when the current staff at MUM retire and they can't find any replacements.

You don't have to wait until 2012 for the star, it's already here. http://shareintl.org/magazine/old_issues/2009/2009-03.htm#top Signs The star that heralds Maitreya's emergence In the very near future, people everywhere will have the opportunity to witness an extraordinary and significant sign, the like of which has been manifested only once before, at the birth of Jesus. Then, according to Christian teaching, a star appeared in the heavens and led three wise men from the East to the birthplace of Jesus. Soon, once again, a star-like luminary of brilliant power will be seen around the world. (Benjamin Creme's Master, 'Maitreya's first interview', SI Jan/Feb 2009 http://shareintl.org/magazine/old_issues/2009/2009-01.htm#master ) On 12 December 2008 Share International distributed a news release http://shareintl.org/media/newsrelease87.pdf announcing that in the very near future a large, bright star will appear in the sky visible throughout the world, night and day. Around a week later Maitreya will give His first interview on a major US television programme. Since early January 2009, sightings of the star have been reported from all over the world and more and more sightings are being sent to us daily. Share International has also received many reports which Benjamin Creme's Master has confirmed to be of the planet Venus and not 'the star'. But we are happy to receive these reports even if they turn out to be wrong. It shows us how more and more people around the world are responding to our information. We publish here a selection of the first photographs received and a list of sightings confirmed by Benjamin Creme's Master to be the star. After a course in the winter in northern Germany in, I believe 1978/79, He said that we had just prevented the 3'rd world war. A few years ago it was revealed that the CIA had indeed witnessed a huge built up of Soviet military forces on the borders to Poland that Christmas but that they where stopped by an enormous and historic snowfall. Gosh, it never usually snows in Russia at christmas, a powerful force indeed! It stopped several brigades of tanks, so yes indeed, it was a historic snowfall that make even tanks get stuck in snow. This has been confirmed by the CIA. Having been prevented from an invasion in Poland by nature itself they resorted to another tactic; installing a puppet-regime with Jaruselscki as President.

Two comments: 1) the energy in the meditation halls was immense, and I have trouble believing it was confined to just the course participants. 2) As documented in press reports in recent years, and obliquely at the Wikipedia page on Stanislav Petrov, there was a deep fear in the Kremlin at the time that Pres. Raygun was about to launch a preemptive first strike. The Kremlin was considering trying to be first. Regardless of your opinion about the ME, it's interesting that Maharishi made an unexpected visit to the College of Natural Law in D.C. right around Thanksgiving and declared that it was imperative that 7000 be assembled before the end of the year. The Movement went into overdrive, both at CNL and MIU to invite and prepare for 7000 people to descend on the MIU campus by Christmas. It seems to me that Maharishi somehow knew that something bad was brewing and was trying to disarm it, even if he might not have been aware exactly what it was. Have I mentioned that the energy in the meditation halls was immense? Maharishi certainly knew the details. I was surprised to hear him say this, on the radio show last night; The thing is: He didn't call it the 'Maharishi Effect'... Instead he has a theory, that there is a magnetic field created, by someone who is experiencing what he calls thinking in the heart. He says that this universal energy field is grounded by a large group meditating together... His theory includes the idea, of cycles and seeds, and manifestation time variables. He said the a 'Surprise Attack', the seed of which had been planted on Pearl Harbor Day, Dec. 7, 1941...was cycling toward another 'Surprise Attack' on around the time of the 'Taste of Utopia Course'... And, low and behold, there was a plot, he says, that the Soviets were considering at that time, and that the only thing he knows of that changed the equation, was the large group, meditating together in Fairfield at that time. He went on to say, that in past times of earth history, when this happened, that everything on earth was effected, and for other civilizations, some didn't make it through the transition. He said that he felt, we had a good chance to make it through the transition, as long as there was enough people, holding this higher vibration, without the fear taking over, the rigidity taking over, which would only further the collapse of the old way of functioning, without the opportunity to create something new. So, it is a time of great peril, in terms of fear playing itself out, in wars of destruction, or A time of great forward movement, as the way we have been living on this planet is not sustainablewhich is why this whole thing is happening anyway.
