Re: [Audyssey] Raceway for Mac or Linux?

2008-01-03 Thread Sarah Haake
Hi,

well, I myself am not a Linux or Mac user, but it would cirtainly be a great
thing for others to have Raceway not only for Windows but also for these
other OS.

But it would really be a pitty if this only is possible at the cost of
features that would be possible in Windows, but not for the other OS, for
example force feedback support wich I would really love to see in the game.

Hi everyone!

Well, here in Germany 2008 is already 5 hours old!
And in an hour the first of you in the USA will also be able to greet the
new year.
It's kind of funny to think about this. We have 2008 here and in other parts
of the world it's still last year. *grin*

Well, I wish all of you a very very happy new year with many many good and
exciting games to play!

Greetings from 2008 to 2007! *grin*

[Audyssey] Speak and spell emulator

2007-12-31 Thread Sarah Haake
Hi,

I just downloaded and tryed the emulator.
I had a thing like this as a kid but with german words of cause. *grin*

Well, the first thing I noticed is that I often get the spelling wrong just
because I don't understand this game voice properly wich is a bit
frustrating.

And has someone here managed to start another game mode exept of the
spelling mode?
I tryed pressing the f5 key for example to start the hangman game but it
doesn't work. I press f5 and f1 afterwards to start the game but it doesn't
beep when I press f1.

And how does the mode work where I get a letter at the beginning? I can't
remember such a mode from my game I had, but this was long ago so it's
possible I just forgot about it. *grin*

And pressing f8 also does nothing for me.

Well, if anyone here has figured out someting about this please let me know.
:-)

Greetings

[Audyssey] Montezuma's returm

2007-12-04 Thread Sarah Haake
Hello Thomas and everyone,

well, I just tried Beta 7 of Montezuma's Return.

The new music is really great, I especially like the new menu music.

And I also like the step sounds in the menus. *smile*

The new sounds of Angela are great too and I really like playing with a
female character.

I found two bugs while playing:

1. When I press p for potions or w for swords, sapi says for example 1 of 5,
not of 4. This is the case with potions and swords.
Besides, sapi says 2 swords when I grab the first one and then 3 swords and
so on.

2. When I play arcade mode and lost all my lives and then answer yes when
sapi asks if I want to play again, the game suddenly starts in standart
mode. I was a bit confused at first when I restarted the game and the game
suddenly was over after loosing only 1 live while I thought I played in
arcade mode. *grin*

Well, that's all for now.

I really like the game, especially with the new sounds and music and will
cirtainly buy it, perhaps as an christmas present for myself, who knows.
*grin*

Regards and greetings

Hi,

hmm, that's a bit confusing now.

In the manual it says that you can have up to 4 swords and 4 potions.

Besides, after grabbing this first sword it says 1 of 5 when I pres the w
key, so this can't be two swords I grabbed.

Re: [Audyssey] Need Help with Tutorial 2 in AudioQuake

2007-07-26 Thread Sarah Haake
Hi Kelly,

these clicking sounds show a corner comming up. The click is in the center
and when there is a left corner its also to the left, at a right corner to
the right and when the passage turns both left and right its on both sides.
This sound that sounds like shootings is played when you arrive at the
corner and it tells you that you can turn the corner now.
The plattform makes a quite low beeping sound.

[Audyssey] German language pack for Rail Racer

2007-07-17 Thread Sarah Haake
Hi again :-)

I just downloaded the german languagepack for Rail Racer.
It's really great that someone actually did sound files in German.
Unfortunately, not every human spoken item in the game has a german
counterpart.
The only things that are spoken in German are the Welcome at the beginning,
the Back to the real World at the end and a few, but not all items in the
main menue.
Is there a bug in the pack or are there simply no files for the rest?
It would be really great if there could be german files for all human spoken
items in the game.

But nevertheless, it's really great to have a german voice spaking the
menue!

Great job and thanks!

Re: [Audyssey] Randomising Montezuma's Revenge.

2007-07-11 Thread Sarah Haake
Hi Thomas and list,

ok, here come my thoughts about randomization:

I personally love the idea of Monty to be as close to the original
Atari-Game as possible and when I remember the orginal correctly, there was
no randomization in it.
For me it would break the originality of the game to have randomization in
it.
I often played games like Monty in the past when I could stil play sighted
games and I simply loved them.
For me it was really amazing when I heard of Monty, that it would be as
orginal as possible.
So, for me the randomization is not really apealing.

But I also understand the people who would like to have some randomization
in the game.

Perhaps you could add the randomization as an optional feature?
For example, in the options menu you could choose whether you would like to
have randomization in the game or not?
This way, everyone who wants to have randomization in the game can have it,
and everyone who wants to play the original game as original as possible
without any randomization can stil do that.
I personally would like this solution if it is possible.

Well, that was my humble opinion on the matter. :-)

[Audyssey] Duck Hunt

2007-07-11 Thread Sarah Haake
Hi Liam and list,

since I myself am a little bored at the moment I tried out your game. :-)

What I absolutely love about it are the sounds. Are these really the sounds
from the Nintendo version?
I cirtainly will keep this game, it reminds me of my my playing times at NS
and Atary etc. :-)

Unfortunately, the game doesn't work like it is supposed to, at least not
for me.

The game starts and I shoot the ducks. But there is no new round after 10
ducks, it just keeps on and on like at the beginning. I get no score after
10 rounds and the ducks don't get faster at all.

Same when I missed 4 ducks, the game stil goes on and on until I quit it
myself.

Perhaps you could look at that again, even if it was a game made out of
being bored. :-)

By the way, I think that it is a good job for being a little thing made in
only a few hours. :-)

[Audyssey] Montezuma's revenge Beta 1

2007-07-09 Thread Sarah Haake
Hello,

I just downloaded and tried the beta of Monty for the first time.
Just in case I will include a spoiler space here.

I am at the first level. I collect the potion and walk right to the staires
and I climb down.
There I get the keys, climb back up, walk left and open the red door.
There I hear a scull comming towards me. Since I don't have any swords this
early in the game I try to jump over the scull, but I die every time I try
that.
Why?
I read the manual and it says what the o key can detect. I noticed that
spikes are not included in that.
So are there spikes that kill me in this room?
And if this are spikes, how am I supposed to detect them in the game?
I don't like the prospect of dying each time when there spikes anywhere just
to find out that they are there...
And if there is no way to detect spikes I really don't like that. :-(

Well, perhaps I am wrong and something else killed me or there is a way to
find out if there are spikes anywhere...

Thanks for your help and best regards

Hello Nicole,

the voice for SCW was not me, it must be another Sarah.
And I am actually 24 years old. :-)

No problem though.

Re: [Audyssey] About SoundRTS

2007-07-06 Thread Sarah Haake
Hello,

I myself tried the game now and I think it's really great.

I like the idea and though I am not much of an strategist myself, the game
has adicted me. :-)

One thing I wanted to through in here is that I think that there should be
more chapters in the tutorial.
I like the game, but I really have difficulties beating chapter 3 and I beat
chapter 2 only because of a bit of luck. :-)

Would it be possible to have more chapters in a future release? I think
there are many possibilities to create them in a way that the difficulty
rises slowly with each chapter, so that you can learn every aspect of the
game.

But nevertheless, I like this game very much!

Oh, and I found the homepage of soundmud and though I don't speak france
very well I realized that there is another game wich is more like Diabolo.
Is an english version planned for this game?

Thanks and greetings

[Audyssey] World of legends

2007-05-17 Thread Sarah Haake
Hello gamers,

I finally found some time to read issue 50 of Audyssey magazine and I read
about the game World of legends there and wanted to try it out.

I clicked on the link which was posted by the developer in the forum on
audiogames.net:
http://www.rslgames.bravehost.com/projects.html

From there, I clicked on the logo of the game and came to the project page.
Now there are links for downloading the game itself and a guide for the
different classes. But when I click on one of the download links, I come to
a web hoster and nothing is there to find about the download I just want to
make.

Well, am I doing something wrong or has the developer changed the location
of his game?
Could someone please give me the right url or even send me the file off list
to my e-mail adress? I would appreciate it if someone could also help me to
get the guide for the different classes.

Thanks for your help, it's really appreciated.

Greetings
Sarah

Re: [Audyssey] Introducing myself and a question about recordinggamereviews

2007-03-02 Thread Sarah Haake
Hi Søren,

thank you for your welcome. :-)

I tried just what you explained in your mail. It works, but still my voice
is too quiet in the recording.

Unfortunately, I do not have msn, otherwise I would add you to find a
solution for this problem.

I would be glad to get some help with this anyway.

And wich german games did you mean in your mail?

Thanks and greetings

Re: [Audyssey] Introducing myself and a question about recordinggamereviews

2007-03-02 Thread Sarah Haake
Hi and thanks for your welcome,

well, I just managed to record my microphone and the game sound at the same
time. I selected the stereomix in the volume controls.
The problem ist, when I select stereomix there, my microphone is recorded,
but very quiet only, though my microphone boost is activated, my microphone
volume is at 100 % and my stereomix volume is at 5 % only
When I select the microphone in the volume controls however, I have the
sound from the microphone loud enough, but the game sound is no more
recorded.

Now, what can I do about this?

Thanks again for your help.

Greetings

[Audyssey] Introducing myself and a question about recording game reviews

2007-03-01 Thread Sarah Haake
Hello everyone,

I am new to this list and so I want to introduce myself first.
My name is Sarah, I am 24 years old and live in Germany.
I play audio games and browsergames for a few years now and I always look
forward to everything new.

Now, I have a question concerning recording audio reviews.

I downloaded audacity a few days ago and so far I like the program and
everything works fine.
But I couldn't find out yet how I can record something like an audio review
yet. How can I record the sound of the game and what I am saying at the same
time? I only managed to record both of it seperately yet, only the microfon
or the game sounds, not both.
Is this even possible with Audacity or are you using other programs for
this?

I would be very thankful for help.

Greetings from
Sarah
