I think maybe their FB posting or something last night or yesterday some time. Great vid though, I downloaded it and will watch it later on the big screen with the amp cranked up to hear that engine! That looks like it was filmed in my neighborhood, though the road was better so it couldn't have been in SC! That battery lasted 13 years 7 i could have used it longer but I feared getting left somewhere if the battery died and kept me from getting home. Before this, I had never seen a 12V Batttery last more than 6 years so I was very impressed by the performance! BTW, the Battery Tender brand is very robust and well made. Running 2 strokes dry is a problem? I regularly do this with chainsaws - run them until they go dry, fill with fuel, run until dry again, etc. Done it a thousand times with no apparent harm. The oil supply and the fuel supply are one and the same. You might be OK if you do it at idle. [MBZ] Whiskey Tango 300D
The adventure continues I got the guts out of the car. Removed the w126 seating and drove it around the block sitting on the spare tire. Engine runs, transmission still stalls out the car in anything but L. Parking brake was non op, so I used the set from Q for Gump, but could not get the dang lower springs to hook together. Disks look ok. Found a set of Ronal 16 rims with michelin MXV tires for $40 off a 220 wagon (no idea of W designation). This morning I was trying to drive the car to the shop so they could do the springs and deal with the out of whack transmission/stall issue. I got half way there and the car stalled and then would not start. Lucky for me, I was going downhill and able to pull into a parking lot at a corner mart. Called for a tow, but that was going to take over an hour, so had #1 boy pick me up. Had breakfast and drove back to the car, when a paving crew pulls onto the lot. The car is in the middle of the lot and they are trying to set up for work. More luck, the tow showed up before they got too deep into work. We will see what all repairs the car needs to hit the road. clay 2002 s430 - Victor, a Stately well tailored chap 1974 450sl - Frosch - Two tone green 1976 300D - Blei Vanst - it looks silvery 1972 220D - Gump - She was green, simple and ran 1995 E300D - Gave her life to save me against a Dame in a SUV POS 1987 SDL - Beware Nigerian Scammers ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com
Re: [MBZ] generator for Craig
My setup for the house in town has a main disconnect switch for the grid power, which ensures nothing from the generator feeds back to the grid lines. That switch has two positions.. Generator power or Grid Power.. The circuits for the house remain the same, the switch just selects the source. It is then my duty to not use house devices which will exceed the power supply of the generator. This system does not use any automatic generator start or automatic switching.. so cost remained as low as possible.. Risk taken is power grid will go down when no one is home to switch on generator, and select Generator Power . There is a safety interlock between the two systems, so it is impossible to have both generator power and grid power at the same time. Natural gas is way cheaper if available with slightly reduced power. LP prices are very volatile but you can stock up when prices are low. I consider LP ideal for a standby generator unless you happen to keep a copious supply of liquid fuel on hand for some other purpose. Then there is the issue of interfacing a generator with the household wiring. I went with a 15KV LP unit and one transfer switch that feeds one subpanel which feeds all the backed-up loads. -Original Message- From: Raymond via Mercedes Sent: Tuesday, May 12, 2015 4:43 PM I've read that gasoline engines operated on propane are much cleaner, almost never experience carb trouble and can go longer between oil changes because of it. -Curt ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com ___ http://www.okiebenz.com To search list archives http://www.okiebenz.com/archive/ To Unsubscribe or change delivery options go to: http://mail.okiebenz.com/mailman/listinfo/mercedes_okiebenz.com

That’s bogus. How are other suppliers sending them? They’re in LA - see if there’s someone around that can do a will call and send them to you.
