Hmm, Is it a new feature for Konqueror in KDE 3.1 ?. I haven't tried

Do you mean you want to be able to feed the downloader a HTML page, and have it
download it and all the links embedded on that page? If so, then Downloader for
X (NT) can do this. You need to set the depth of recursing variable to the
level that you want to go down through the links. To download a whole site, set
this to 0 (unlimited). You may also want to toggle the Allow leave this server
while recursing via HTTP and Only subdirs for some extra control. The Change
links in HTML file to local can be useful here, too.

Several. I use NT, but there are others as well.

When I'm looking for software, I almost always find what I need either
on the LM install disks (open Software Manager and search the
descriptions) or on freshmeat.net, which is to Linux what Tucows is to
Windows. It's remarkable how much high quality software there is for
Linux, and a lot of the best is already on your installation disks.

Excuse me for jumping in here but when I clicked on this link a window 
popped up saying RealPlayer could not be found would I like to download? 
and I clicked NO then everythingy STOPPED.  No download for that RPM, I am 
still using WindBlows, EudoraLitev5.1, and NetScape v4.77 for these 
messages.  Am working with Linux/ Mandrake v7.0 because I have it installed 
and working for learning.  AMD-K6 II 400meg/w 163m RAM.

Any assistance would be great, I also would like a DldMgr for LM, will this 
one work with v7.0?   Maybe a different one?

IIRC URL syntax should be: protocol://user:password@host:port/pathname

so ftp://myname:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/
should do the job.

Although it probably won't accept the myname:mypassword construct, but 
if you just type in ftp://myname@host it should prompt you.

(can't verify as I don't have konq on work box, but it works in kfm)

Well there are several.  One nice one is called Konqueror.
Open it and get to the ftp site using a URL  then split the screen and type in
file:/(mydownloaddirectory)   for whatever download directory you use.

Drag the file from the ftp half-window to the local half-window and repeat as required.

If the download breaks, then set up as before and drag--you will be asked whether you
want to resume or overwrite.

Just that simple.

Of course there is one Russian program out there which is really outstanding in 
performance
but it almost always calls itself beta.  nt is the object to search for.

Type in the URL and it downloads in multiple channels with a resume
feature.

Have you tried freshmeat.net?  You can search for software there.
That's where I find most of  my software.

I however do not know of anything off hand.  Personally I can't
stand download managers, but that's mainly due to their pirate
