Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Google Music Plugin

2014-03-20 Thread SteUK

Wanted to add my experience of the plugin:

https://github.com/hechtus/squeezebox-googlemusic

Running on a raspberry pi system with 4 zones...the plugin works
superbly! Main thing it (and Google all access) allows me to do, at
least it appears to from my limited testing, is stream in different
music to different players. That's something you can't do with spotify
and a pi based system (using the third party plugin).

[SlimDevices: Plugins] WaveInput not working on players

2014-03-20 Thread bzlrbi

I've used WaveInput frequently, and for years, without ever having a
problem until now. Looking at my Controller, or at the Web interface,
and at the Server Settings everything looks fine, e.g. the time counter
is working. However, looking at my players (2 Transporters) the time
counter is stuck at 0:00

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and rebooted everything, all
without success.

Looking at the server log, I'm seeing the following error, with these
two GLOB values, repeating over and over. I don't know how to deal
with this, however, or if it's relevant.

[14-03-19 17:35:57.0038] Slim::Networking::IO::Select::__ANON__ (147)

line 150.
; fh=Slim::Web::HTTP::ClientConn=GLOB(0x80d7904)

I've made no changes to my network, computer, or to LMS recently. It's
just stopped working.

The plugin is vital to my listening habits, so I'll wipe out everything,
and start from scratch if I have to, but of course I'd rather not!

LMS 7.7.3, Vista here.

Thanks!

Anyone else notice a bug since the last update? Ever since I updated

never stopped really before, it kept adding onto the playlist. It seems
like after a while it will get stuck or something and just stop adding

A little more information would be helpful: are you using any music
services with SmartMix? Anything in the server.log file? What if you
enable debugging for plugin.smartmix?

FWIW: SmartMix is playing in my office nicely all day long, day after

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Qobuz.com streaming plugin

2014-03-20 Thread h_asendorf

Hi,

I tried to read through this post, but I did not come across the issue I
am encountering.
I have LMS running on a WHS server.

I tried all versions of LMS from 7.7.2 to 7.7.3 and 7.7.4 and always had
the same effect.
In the plug ins page of the LMS setup, there is no option to change the
3rd party plugins nor to add repositories.
Consequently, it is also not possible to use Qobuz in the way described
here.

Therefore I tried the other option to copy the Qobuz - ZIP file to the
plugins folder.

With that done - the qobuz plug-in shows up in the list of available
plugins, but the checkmark in front of it is greyed out and behind it
there is the message - plugin could not be loaded.

Any ideas, what I might be doing wrong ?

Btw - if I use the LMS version of Windows 7, I don't have that issue.
but I want to run Qobuz on the WHS server, not on my notebook.

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Smart Mix plugin

2014-03-20 Thread CommanderROR

Hi Michael,

I have just started seriously playing around with your Smart Mix plugin
now.The selection it gives me is not bad, but it tends to play quite a
few very old recordings and music for babies and similar stuff.

Is there some parameter I can tweak to improve this?

The problem is, that for classical music the usual settings don't work
all that well. I'd like to favour newer recordings, but if I select
from 1990 or newer, then all I get is Vanessa Mae. I'd need to be able
to choose date of recording...does Spotify expose that info? I think
last.fm integration might help here, they often have pretty good
predictions and also allow discovery of recent recordings.
Maybe it's too complex though, I can live with it the way it is now, but
it would be nice to have.

btw...is there any way to donate to you for your work?

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Seeking Plugin Development Guidelines and/or Tutorial

Hi,
I imagine this has been discussed in the past, but thought I'd like to
find some docs/tips/guidelines to help develop a custom plugin(s) for
LMS. Specifically I'm looking to develop something to access the Google

(I have a programming (Database/Python/Sql background) but perl is a new

programming). In the past the easiest/quickest was to learn is to clone
some existing code - so if someone can point me to some sample plugins
so much the better.
