It's not clear to me what you're referring to here... The only install.xml files I see are in for each installed plugin, E.g. "./cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins/Qobuz/install.xml". I don't see any repo.xml files, which don't live in the main "/var/lib/squeezeboxserver" (?). Can you be a little more specific about files/paths? And, what, if anything, I should manually do to prevent incompatible plugins from showing up as installable? rootee's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=70728 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113975 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I've actually copied Slim/Web/Pages/Search.pm and modified so it returns a list of tracks and albums. Code is not finished - current UI does not send genres. And the search page is as overloaded as the exiting advanced-search, just using vuetitify widgets. I might modify it so that only certain fields are initially shown, and add a menu to display the other fields. Saving to a virtual library works, but I'm not sure of the usefulness of saving searches so that is not currently implemented. *Material debug:* 1. Also, enabling the "Update plugins automatically" option has auto-magically removed the traces from both "../prefs/plugin/extension.prefs" and "../cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins". Seems like LMS should remove incompatible plugins from the 3rd party listing entirely, or list them and disallow install. Do NOT include "online only artists" if: - a library_id is defined, and it's not the player's default library - there is a search term - there is a filter criteria other than role_id:ALBUMARTIST So contrary to what I thought your guess was right: we would show that list on an album artists list, assuming that all artists "liked" on a streaming service would also be an album artist. Should I just avoid NPR Radio plugin? Is this a > bug with the LMS plugin manager? The NPR plugin no longer works as NPR changed their API and there is no update. What probably happened is you upgraded LMS and the old NPR plugin (now incompatible) got carried along but cannot be updated so left in limbo. I thought LMS would delete it. I think the way to delete it is to stop LMS and edit the prefs/extension.prefs file and delete the line with "NPR:1 " and also delete the NPR directory in Cache/InstalledPlugins/Plugins. Then restart LMS. bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=113975 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The problem is, I use none of this so have no idea how/if it works (as in Material's usage of). So, -should- I use include_online_artists:1 with role_id:ALBUMARTIST for the album artists, or *only* when no role_id is specified? Please don't say its up to me, as (as stated) I dont use this - so really don't know what it -should- be. My -guess- is that it should be used in the "Artists", "All Artists", and "Album Artists" lists, but not elsewhere. Would that be correct? i.e. use if no rol_id, or rol_id:ALBUMARTIST *Material debug:* 1. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
How is a client to know when include_online_artists *and* role_id can be used together, and when not? Or are they exclusive? Material uses both It's really up to you when you want to use it: - you only want contributors of a specific role: don't use it - you want contributors of a specific role AND all of the remote only artists: use it The flag really is there to tell LMS to return all the online only contributors. This is required as lack of role information they otherwise could not be shown. Once you understand what that means you can decide whether you want that or not. In most cases where you wish to filter by role you probably don't want to use it. for AlbumArtists - is that also affected? Or is it *only* composer, conductor, and band that cannot be used with include_online_artists The flag will tell LMS to return all online only artists. They have no role information. Therefore it doesn't matter what role you want to filter by. ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

[SlimDevices: Plugins] How to Remove Incompatible Plugins
I've tried installing the NPR Radio plugin, and get "Plugin is incompatible with this version of Logitech Media Server. Please update." In "Server Settings"->Plugins I see no option to update, nor a way to remove from the active plugins section (see attached). The only way I've found to remove the unchecked/non-updateable NPR Radio from active plugins is to enable "Update plugins automatically". Should I just avoid NPR Radio plugin? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Hi, Firstable, my congrats and my appreciation for the great work by the LMS team and Philippe developing LMS and the Upnp Bridge. I've been using an LMS server (Daphile in particular) for some weeks and I think it's very good. I listen to FLAC files on a Synology NAS (with LMS connected to it using DLNA/Upnp), Tidal and Radio Paradise. My clients are a local Squeezebox client on the server and a Upnp-connected Pioneer N-50A streamer. In the last days I'm having an issue when listening to the Synology NAS music: the playback stops after each song, being required to forward manually to the next one. It happens with all songs on the NAS. It only happens when streaming to my Pioneeer streamer via Upnp. It doesn't happen streaming from this NAS to the local Squeezebox client on the Daphile server. It doesn't happen either when streaming Tidal and Radio Paradise to the Pioneer or streaming FLAC music on the Daphile server to the Pioneer, or even directly from the NAS to Foobar2000 via Upnp, without involving LMS. So I think it could be related to the Upnp bridge. I've tested many configurations, the "play all songs" in the LMS setup is checked for both clients and I've searched on the Internet, with no answers to this question. Please, any ideas? Thank you very much in advance. After all this time I have just noticed that the icon for the Radio France plugin only shows correctly when the plugin appears in My Apps. If it appears in Radio the icon is replaced with a generic symbol. I only noticed this when I installed the new Virgin Radio plugin from @expectingtofly . I see the the same generic icon for that when it is in the Radio section. It also looks like the Radio France icon hasn't been mapped to a Material icon. I haven't installed any other apps or opened anything other than alsamixer and some terminal windows. Different devices can have different settings. Until you have things settled, I'd avoid "hw:" as they require the output to be matched to the input with no conversion. Try "plughw:" devices first as they support ALSA software conversion which increase chances of audio output. This can have an effect if applications are sharing audio. If there is no output with an ALSA device it is possible some other application has already "opened" the device and so squeezelite has no access - but no error will show. In flow mode, the lack of metadata is normal as the bridge acts like a webradio. So if you want "some" metadata, you must use mp3 as a re-encoding method that will allow "in-band" metadata to be added using icy protocol. The stuttering & stops sounds like an under-CPU or network problem. There is much more CPU required for decoding and then re-encoding the audio and then sending it over wireless can be very bandwidth consuming if you use PCM. But considering the fact that many artists would take different roles depending on what work they're on, it's clear to me that you shouldn't expect a role to be defined without a work. There a 'Composers' browse mode as standard in 'Additional browse modes' I'm sorry to say that no, there's something different about Material. For me it seems.to be just Artists with albums imported from Spotify even if the Artist is already in my library. Another related bug is that of you then select one of these Artists you see this.[image: https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210218/56ef73f5c2bd0fc597d5e286cf3ca669.jpg] Sent from my Pixel 3a using Tapatalk slartibartfast's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35609 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=111923 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
WRT. to Composers (and other roles) when using an online service: as you're sending the "include_online_only_artists:1" parameter you'll get all contributors which are online only. As they are online only, we don't have any tracks of them in the collection. Which means we have no role information either. But using that "include_online_only_artists:1" flag you tell LMS to include them anyway. To fix this issue you probably shouldn't use that flag when limiting by role. Please let me know if this is a query you actually got from LMS :D. Michael "It doesn't work - what shall I do?" - "Please check your server.log and/or scanner.log file!" I did actually mange to get it running in form of add-on: "Squeezebox for Kodi" which required "Multimedia Tools" you mentioned. There was way to even update it and also to patch "Squeezebox for Kodi" add-on so it doesn't stop playback after few seconds. Also tweak of code to rename player permanently. So technically I got this in working state but comparing to previous squeezelite on OSMC is little weird: Almost every day I can see player is "powered on" even when no one has used it. Sometimes TV will turn on because of it .. like when transferring queue to different player.. I probably can live with all of that, but was wondering if there is better way other then addon form.. On OSMC squeezelite was in form of "normal" install and was working perfectly without any issues. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Hi Philippe, I have come across from my other thread on LMS, as requested. On that thread is the settings on the bridge for my system. I attached a screen print. What I have found is that in the previous version, I was using it, as is. I didn't know about the "flow mode". I had left the settings as supplied and my system ran and it played music, track by track, no problems. However, when I started to use the "flow" mode in the current version, the music stutters and stops, on whatever piece of equipment I use, be it internet radios or my new streaming unit. The radios have a colour screen and show the album art and artist details etc. With "flow" mode selected with Flac selected, the music, as I said stutters and stops. But furthermore, I no longer get the artwork or the artist details. All I get is a dialogue similar to "Streaming From LMS, Unknown Artist, Unknown Song and a ? on the screen. When I use the system with my Yamaha wireless speakers, they dont have the artist details, but the music stutters and stops. Taking the system out of "flow" mode and everything returns to normal. Because I have two computers that can supply music to my system, I kept one computer on the previous version of the plugin and one computer on the latest version. They both showed the same problems with "flow" mode selected. I consider the plugin is brilliant. It's enabled me to have music in various places around the house and now my Touch is virtually at end of life, the plugin has become more important. Obviously I have come across a problem that you may know how to sort. I am an enthusiastic user, but I have my limitations when sorting these types of problems. sachadog's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=10564 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Either go with the semicolon as separator or define a different separator - your example being double backslash. I use the semicolon to separate individual Album Artist tags, and it works well for me.
