Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.4 - more personalised content
Hi, It's me with the broken Spotify Connect again. It seems that something on my network that is blocking Spotify Connect announcements. It's nothing to do with Spotty, so this is off-topic, but maybe someone has had a similar problem before? * I can see players signed into the same account as the iOS app and use them * I can see all the players on Spotify Desktop on the same machine as LMS when "Don't announce" is switched off. * I can only see the Spotify Desktop on the Server if I am signed into the same account on the phone. * Disabling the firewall on the server does not change the situation. So the key issue is that Spotify Desktop running on *any* machine on my network (not just the server) is only visible in the apps if they are signed into the matching account. Otherwise it cannot be seen, which is exactly the situation with Spotty's players. Could it be the router blocking this somehow? I also have a pi-hole on my network. What is the protocol by which the players get announced? Make sure this isn't enabled. So that was enabled, but disabling it picked up just one of the 4 players in this house. I decided to reinstall the plugin from scratch. The Spotty Authorisation is also not visible. I can log in manually, but this doesn't help with having connect work. All the spotty.exe helpers are running, the firewall is open for inbound connections for spotty.exe on all ports on both UDP and TCP (nothing in outbound though). THis used to work very well and then gone on all account in the house. :( Wigster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14899 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=112962 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.4 - more personalised content
Hi I am running Spotty 4.4.8 on LMS 8.1.1 on Windows Server 2012R2. Spotify through LMS works ok. Spotify connect has stopped working for some reason a few weeks ago. No Connect devices are visible in the Spotify apps on the network. I do not have "don't announce on network" ticked. The firewall ports are open for the spotty helper app. If I start playing something from Spotify on player through LMS, then this player will appear in the devices in the Spotify app on the desktop, but not on the phone. I have a Spotify Client ID entered in the settings, since I was getting rate limited. The disappearance of the Connect players seems to have occured at a similar time, but I cannot say if it was really so. I am not sure how to debug this. There is nothing of interest in the logs. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)
Him I just wanted to say that I've been suffering quite a lot of problems with Spotty and especially using Spotify Connect with LMS on Windows. It's never been stable. I finally had time to deinstall the plugin, delete all the folders and to start from scratch. I've also added my own Spotify Client ID. And now everything is beautifully working. I started from the initial Spotty version, so presumably some gunk had built up in the settings. Worth a try if you are suffering. Thanks a lot Michael! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce : BBC Sounds Plugin
Hi, [not sure how to tag cpd73 here] I am running the Material skin (2.0.1). If I navigate to BBC Sounds > My Sounds > Latest I get a nice grid list of programmes. Clicking on a particular show navigates to another menu (with Play/Bookmark/Subscribe). Material then overlays the floating menu with Play/Play Next only on the deepest submenu, rather than on the level of the grid list (So I get a Play/Play Next submenu on top of the Play menu item for the particular show). The same is true when I navigate into Subscrtibed shows: at the sublevel I get a historical list of the shows of the particualr host, which then when clicked gives the BBC Sounds menu Play/Bookmark/Subscribe where the Play/Play Next floating menu appears on top. In the iPlayer Listen Again grid of shows, this floating shortcut menu appears already on the level of the shows, which to me seems more convenient for most situations. Would there be some way of rearranging the menus to make the Material floating menu appear at the Show Title level? Or is this something that should be hardcoded into Material? This is great! Seems to work as designed running on LMS 8 on Windows Server. One request: is it possible to build an authentication system, so that I could have access to *my* My Sounds playlist through LMS? Even if it were to be only the chronological list without the show listened status/timestaps, it would mean I don't have to keep on searching the BBC listen again archive for the latest shows as they come in. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 4.0 - integrate local library with your Spotify collection (LMS 8+)
Hi, Not quite sure how to debug this since it's somewhat intermittent. Set up: LMS 8.0 nightly, Spotty 4.3.0. Players: squeezelite on RPis (not PCP). Latest iPeng on iOS 13 devices for control. Problem: sometimes when a Spotty track is selected to play now in iPeng, the following track on the list is played. Usually trying it the second time plays the correct track. Steps to reproduce: use the Spotty interface in LMS through ipeng to e.g. search for a track. Select a track to play from the returned list. The track below the one you selected plays (the metadata is that of the playing track, so there is no mismatch). Observations: it doesn't happen always, but if Spotty enters this state, it happens every time until things begin to work OK again (usually 5-10 songs). It seems to happen more frequently with list of output of searches than with saved playlists. But I think I've had it happen for both. I've not observed it through the web interface, but I usually use Spotty through ipeng, so this may be just a selection effect. Cheers. [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBC Sounds integration in iPlayer?
Hi, I didn't want to polute the main iPlayer thread but I have a question on BBC Sounds. I suspect this is a completely different API and not available to third parties, but: Is there some way of surfacing the My Sounds list on LMS, in particular the latest ones. I subscribe to a bunch of programmes and it would be good to see them in (reverse) chronological order instead of going through the menus every time. It would require a login etc, and may not be open to third parties without $$$, but maybe it's doable? Just before it stops, in the Material interface, the player actually disappears from LMS (it disconnects from the network, ping becomes unreachable). In the default UI the counter keeps on counting there, but if I change the player, the PCP is no longer in the player list. If you wait for another 5-10 minutes, you sometimes get a snippet of audio, about 0.5-1 second long, and it disappears again. The player does not re-appear on the network, so I am guessing there is some sort of loop which is happening without interaction with LMS. bpa wrote: > > Can you test each URL in turn in LMS Tune-in - it is only OK is audio is > heard for at least 1 minute. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] BBCiPlayer V1.6 (and higher) & BBCiPlayerExtra 2.0 (and higher) Support
I've reported this in the PCP 6 thread at the link below, but got sent by Paul here instead: https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?111787-ANNOUNCE-piCorePlayer-6-0-0&p=968195&viewfull=1#post968195 Basically, after upgrade to PCP 6.0.0 on my RPi 2B, playing any BBC stream through iPlayer 1.6.8 or iPlayer Extras 3.3.0 works for a few seconds and then causes the player to disappear from LMS and the network and the radio stops playing a couple of seconds later. Local music, TuneIn radio streams and Spotty work fine. PCP 5.0.1 also works fine. Other players not running PCP also work fine (I only have the one PCP player unfortunately). The log from LMS is attached here. I started playing about 15:58 and the player disappeared at 16:00. Nothing untoward I think. 29783 I have no idea how to debug this further unfortunately, so would appreciate some guidance. +---+ |Filename: server.log | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=29783| +---+ Wigster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14899 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109826 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi, I have just installed the version from git (by adding your repository according to the installation instructions on gihub). LMS claims to have installed v1.0.2: is this the one with the latest commits, or does this repository default to the latest official release, which is the same as the LMS official repository? In any case, if this version contains the changes, then they didn't make a difference. The user name is "Firstname Lastname" (without quotes), so has a space but no asterisks or angled brackets . That was just for privacy. If this isn't the latest version, then please let me know how to pull it. Thanks! I mean that in the Spotty app, there is an account menu, which contains two items: the name of the current Spotify user and a menu called "Switch account". When you browse into the "Switch account" menu, in Material nothing appears. In iPeng I get a list with the names of the other configured Spotify users, and selecting the user switches Spotty to this account. The username items take a little while to appear, which is maybe why Material doesn't see it? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Hi, LMS 7.9.2 - 1568726655, Spotty 2.8.7 and Material 1.0.2 There seems to be small bug with Spotty in Material. I have two Spotify accounts and am running the option in Spotty to switch between them using a menu. This put a menu item in Spotty/Account/Switch Account. When I browse into there using iPeng, I see the non-active account, which I can then select and switch the player into it. In material (on desktop at least in Chrome on Windows) this does not appear: the "Switch account" menu remains unpopulated. Spotty is pinned if that makes a difference. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.8.x - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
Is there some way of setting up Spotty Connect players so that they *only* appear in the Spotify apps when I am on my home network? Currently, the players appear for me always, even when away from home, while for the other users in my household, with other Spotify credentials, they appear only when they are on the local network. As far as I can tell the available settings broadcast the players to all network users, while would I would like an opposite setting. Thanks! Hi, LMS latest 7.9.2 nightly on WinServer 2012R2, Spotty 2.8.1 playing on a PCP4.1 device. This is a little intermittent, so I am having trouble giving a good bug report. Every so often Spotty will skip around 20 seconds before the end of a track and go onto the next one. I've had this happen continuously for many tracks one after another, and then it stops only to reappear randomly for one or two tracks. It has happened both over Spotify Connect and by playing a playlist through iPeng. I've managed to finally catch it in a log (Spotty on debug). It happened on the Portishead track "Roads" but not the others. Not sure if this will be enough to help, but if I should change my log settings, please let me know! 27268 +---+ |Filename: server-spotty.zip| |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=27268| +---+ Wigster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14899 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=110455 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.3.0 - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
Hi, it's me again, with more details Setup: LMS nightly 7.9.2 (15/6), Spotty 2.3.7 on Windows Server 2012R2 with four players on the network. Problem: Spotify Connect players not visible on local network. LMS web interface and Spotify apps when logged into main user's account work fine. "Don't accounce" box not ticked. I wiped my whole Spotty config, deleting all the caches and prefs and started from scratch. Problem is visible immediately, because no player on the local network can see the AUTHORIZE player. Users can be authorised by adding manually and then things work, but players are never seen by clients on the local network, unless logged into the main account. I have also played around with this box in the last days. I've tried deleting the spotty.prefs file and starting from scratch, but I was quite surprised to see the config survive... I guess it's saved somewhere else. So the "don't announce" box seems to not to anything on my system. Is there anything I can try to fix this? I was also trying to move the players from one user to another, by choosing user2 from the menus and restarting the connect feature. I have four players set up (two PCP boxes, one UPNP Bridge and one Group player). Only the UPNP bridge player moves from user1 to user2's Spotify, while the other players always appear in user1's account. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty 2.3.0 - Spotify Connect for your Squeezebox
Hi, I run Spotty 2.3.7/LMS 7.9.2 on Windows 2012R2. I have two Spotify user accounts connected to Spotty, both part of the same family plan. The libraries for both the users are visible ok and set to have separate submenus. However, Spotify Connect only sees the LMS players if the Spotify add is logged in as user1. When I log in as user2, all the players disappear. Is this a limitation? Ideally I would like anyone on the wifi network to be able to play on any LMS player. I have the "don't announce" option in the Spotty prefs set you off. Failing that, how do I switch which user sees the connect players? Thanks! Hi Philippe, So I've been tinkering and have managed to find a workaround. My LMS has the proper 192.x.x.x IP address and you can see from the log that the UPNPBridge plugin knows that too. Michael Herger says that the CLI entry in the log is reporting the IP of the device connecting to it, in this case UPNPBridge, so I guess somehow the handler gets the wrong IP and assigns the 169.x.x.x IP to the new players. The seems to be the result of the fact that the machine that LMS is running on actually has 4 Ethernet jacks, of which 3 are disconnected. When I disable the 3 disconnected jacks, UPnPBridge properly assigns the IP of LMS to the new players in creates and I can now control them OK. Somehow UPNPBridge must be using the wrong network connector as the device it thinks it is on. This was also the case in 0.2.x, but the old code still managed to work enough to control the devices even when the IP was from the 169.x.x.x range. It seems that > getting metadata fails, which is not good Hi! So this has always been like this: the radio does have a normal IP (192.168.1.13), assigned by DHCP. For some reason the player as seen my LMS has the self-assigned 169.x. I always assumed this has some trick that you were doing. This used to work, but maybe now there is some issue indeed. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Hi Philippe, Just a little background: I moved apartments with a 6-month interlude running LMS with only one picoreplayer player. During that time I upgraded from the previous branch of UPNPBridge (2.9.x?) to the current one. The old setup used to work perfectly. I've finally unpacked the full sound system and I have a problem with using UPnPBridge with my Medion internet radio. LMS (latest nightly) runs on Windows Server 2012R2. The Medion gets detected ok. But doing anything with it through LMS causes LMS to hang and then quit (the moment that I play anything on the Medion, no other commands to any of the other players are recognised). The upnpbridge-win.exe helper keeps on running and logging. However, something *is* wrong with it, since when I try to end task in Task Manager it takes a good 10 minutes to actually quit. If I don't kill the process it just keeps on running. If I restart LMS, it starts a second instance of the helper, which behaves in a similar manner. I am enclosing logs from LMS server and your bridge plugin. I started LMS at 9:33, tried to play a track from the library to the Medion at 9:36. LMS died just after. I kept the helper running till around 10. LMS has the logging at Info from server.plugins and Debug for plugin.upnpbridge but everything else is at Error. There isn't anything in the log, so please let me know if I should change some other particular settings. The plugin log is maximal. Thanks for any pointers! 25048 25049 +---+ |Filename: upnpbridge.log | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=25049| +---+ Wigster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14899 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] announce: ShairTunes2W - Airtunes on LMS (forked version with Windows support)
Hi, I was going to report that the latest release version of Shairport2W (0.70.?) had a problem with stuttering, but I've just upgraded to the latest dev and that is no longer a problem. However, I am now getting a conn_handle_request error in the LMS log. It happens every time I try to connect (which takes about 5 seconds and that seems normal), but then everything plays just as it should. I'm running the latest LMS nightly on Windows Server with a bunch of squeezelite/RPi based players. The error happens to all of them. Hi, Spotty 1.3.3 on latest LMS nightly on Windows. When I go to library/Artist/ I do not get an option to list the albums/singles etc for that artist. There only is Top Tracks, Songs, Artist Radio etc. If I then browse to some Related Artist, I get the full list of albums etc, as I think I should have initially. If I go to that Artist through search, the whole list is there. Happens both for web interface and iPeng. I have the multiple user account shown separately. All on a family premium plan. One question re multiple accounts: To which account's history does playing tracks accrue? Spotify in principle seems to learn the tracks that I like by which ones I skip over etc, but it should know which account is playing them in the first place. I am using the multiple menu option, in case that matters. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotty - the next generation Spotify implementation
Just installed it on the latest LMS 7.9.1 running on a Windows Server 2012R2. It all works great on my RPi/squeezelite based players and even a UPNP bridge fake player, which didn't work before. Thanks for keeping it alive! I've noticed the Ogg files are transcoded to FLAC. Is that necessary or is it something I've set up at some point? Also, I've noticed that it's possible to add multiple accounts. Is it then possible to have them somehow separated in the menu structure, so that my partner and I don't mix our, errrm, disparate musical tastes by playing from my library always? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Mixcloud plugin?
Hi, My Mixcloud plugin seems to have stopped working. Listing mixes works fine, but when you try to play one, LMS gets the metadata but does not start playing anything. This used to work a few weeks ago when I tried last, but I may have upgraded ffmpeg or some such (playing through PCP): I'm attaching a log in a separate file: 22902 +---+ |Filename: mixcloud.log | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=22902| +---+ Wigster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14899 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=88286 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I must have changed somethign in my config and I've broken UPnP Bridge. It seems my UPNP radio is detected, it is configured in the UPnP Bridge settings page, but it never appears as a player in LMS. THis is what I get in the log, the same sequence repeats over and over. The bb:bb is the proper mac address of my digital readio device (a Medion), which used to work with LMS problem free. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] [Announce] Spotify Protocol Handler - play Spotify on all your Squeezeboxen
Hi, I am going to be workring away from home for a while and I've taken with me an RPi to set up as a Plex/Squeezelite client to connect to my home network remotely. I've managed to set up Squeezelite. I've started forwarding ports 9000 and 3483 from my router to the server and this allows iPeng, local music and BBC iPlayer to work peerfectly fine. The remaining issue is Spotify (the standard helper). No music plays when I start it, even though LMS shows the progress. I have forwarded the spotify helper port 9005, the remote player is properly registered at mysb.com. Here is a copy of the spotify helper log when I tried to play something: Code: [19:45:42.549] main:448 C:\PROGRA~3\SQUEEZ~1\Cache\INSTAL~1\Plugins\SPOTIF~1\Bin\MSWIN3~1\spotifyd.exe 2.3.8 started ( libspotify: 12.1.51.g86c92b43 Release win32 ) [19:45:42.549] main:478 Config: username: 1121829537 cachedir: C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\Cache\spotifycache bitrate: 320 volnorm: 1 httpport: 9005 cliport: 9090 cacheaudio: 1 [19:45:42.721] main:567 new connection [19:45:42.721] main:619 req: status.json res: (null) par: login prot: HTTP/1.0 auth: (null) [19:45:42.721] main:702 relogging in as user: 1121829537 [19:45:42.721] logged_in:54 logged in [19:45:42.721] credentials_blob_updated:119 credentials blob updated [19:45:42.737] log_message:81 log: 17:45:42.737 E [c:/Users/spotify-buildagent/BuildAgent/work/1e0ce8a77adfb2dc/client/core/network/proxy_resolver_win32.cpp:215] WinHttpGetProxyForUrl failed [19:45:42.737] log_message:81 log: 17:45:42.737 I [ap:1752] Connecting to AP ap.gslb.spotify.com:4070 [19:45:42.768] log_message:81 log: 17:45:42.768 I [ap:1226] Connected to AP: 104.199.65.77:4070 [19:45:43.815] process_status:1464 process status [19:45:43.815] log_message:81 log: 17:45:43.815 I [offline-mgr:2084] Storage has been cleaned [19:45:43.831] credentials_blob_updated:119 credentials blob updated [19:45:43.831] metadata_updated:86 new meta [19:45:43.893] log_message:81 log: 17:45:43.893 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(0, 1, link-tracks) [19:45:43.893] log_message:81 log: 17:45:43.893 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(1, 0, playlist) [19:45:43.893] log_message:81 log: 17:45:43.893 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(2, 0, playlist) [19:45:43.971] log_message:81 log: 17:45:43.971 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(11, 1, playlist) [19:45:43.971] log_message:81 log: 17:45:43.971 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(14, 1, playlist) [19:45:43.971] log_message:81 log: 17:45:43.971 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(5, 1, link-tracks) [19:45:43.971] log_message:81 log: 17:45:43.971 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(12, 1, playlist) [19:45:43.971] log_message:81 log: 17:45:43.971 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(15, 1, playlist) [19:45:43.971] log_message:81 log: 17:45:43.971 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(13, 1, playlist) [19:45:43.971] log_message:81 log: 17:45:43.971 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(16, 1, playlist) [19:45:44.284] log_message:81 log: 17:45:44.284 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(4, 1, link-tracks) [19:45:44.315] log_message:81 log: 17:45:44.315 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(0, 1, link-tracks) [19:45:53.988] log_message:81 log: 17:45:53.988 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(5, 1, playlist) [19:45:53.988] log_message:81 log: 17:45:53.988 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(6, 1, playlist) [19:45:53.988] log_message:81 log: 17:45:53.988 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(2, 1, playlist) [19:45:53.988] log_message:81 log: 17:45:53.988 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(3, 1, playlist) [19:45:53.988] log_message:81 log: 17:45:53.988 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(7, 1, playlist) [19:45:53.988] log_message:81 log: 17:45:53.988 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(4, 1, playlist) [19:46:08.989] log_message:81 log: 17:46:08.989 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(1, 1, playlist) [19:46:08.989] log_message:81 log: 17:46:08.989 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(2, 1, playlist) [19:46:08.989] log_message:81 log: 17:46:08.989 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(0, 1, playlist) [19:46:08.989] log_message:81 log: 17:46:08.989 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(3, 1, playlist) [19:46:14.010] log_message:81 log: 17:46:14.010 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(0, 1, playlist) [19:46:14.010] log_message:81 log: 17:46:14.010 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(1, 1, playlist) [19:46:34.072] log_message:81 log: 17:46:34.072 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(0, 1, playlist) [19:46:39.104] log_message:81 log: 17:46:39.104 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(0, 1, playlist) [19:46:39.104] log_message:81 log: 17:46:39.104 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(1, 1, playlist) [19:46:44.120] log_message:81 log: 17:46:44.120 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(0, 1, playlist) [19:46:49.106] log_message:81 log: 17:46:49.106 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(0, 1, playlist) [19:46:49.106] log_message:81 log: 17:46:49.106 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(1, 1, playlist) [19:47:24.121] log_message:81 log: 17:47:24.121 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(0, 1, playlist) [19:47:29.108] log_message:81 log: 17:47:29.108 E [ap:4172] ChannelError(0, 1, playlist) [19:47:44.114] log_message:81 l

[SlimDevices: Plugins] Plugin to move playstate to another player?
Hi, I'm wondering if there is a plugin that would move the playstate of one player to another one, i.e. I could just click on a button and my current living room music playlist together with the current position would just move to another room. Right now I add the second player to the sync group and then swtich off the amp of the first player by hand, but that's clearly suboptimal. Thanks! Well, Spotify connect does not require you to have your phone on, or to stop the music in your living room when you take a call in your study. It's much closer to that way that iPeng works. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Hi Philippe, Not sure this should go here or to the BBC iPlayer thread. I'll copy it there if you think it's bpa's problem. :-) I have the latest nightly LMS 7.9.0 running on a Windows 2012R2 server. I have one UPNP device (a Medion internet radio) than it bridged using your plugin. I've updated the UPNP bridge plugin from 0.2.9 to 0.2.10, but the problem is there with both. I have the BBC iPlayer plugin 1.4.9 set to DASH>HLS and I am outside the UK. Recently (although can't say how recently) there is a new problem. The listen again streams work with no issue on the Medion. But the BBC Live (non-UK) streams stop after 10-20 seconds. The web interface counter continues to loop the time, but nothing comes out of the radio after the initial chunk. The real (actually Squeezelite) players work OK, which is why I am posting it here. I am attaching a log with UPNP and iPlayer logging turned to debug. Hopefully you can understand something. This log reports on an initialisation of the server, followed by my trying to play the BBC WOrld Service stream, waiting till it stopped and then clearing the playlist on my UPNP bridged Medion. 21569 +---+ |Filename: server (1).log | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=21569| +---+ Wigster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14899 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

It used to work and then it stopped playing around version 0.35.3. The Airplay players were visible from iOS, but music wouldn't start playing. The problem turned out to be a path change that Phillippe did when renaming the plugin at some point. My firewall exception was pointing to the correct executable, but the directory changed from Code: \Plugins\ShairTunes2\Bin to \Plugins\ShairTunes2W\Bin so the firewall was blocking the helper application. I checked 30 times and didn't see that something was wrong... Adding the "W" solved the issue. Hi, When a track is very long (e.g. I'm streaming something off SoundCloud that is 3 hours long), the time remaining counter is always in minutes and cuts off the final digit of the seconds, i.e. I get something like -141:1 remaining, when the end should be -141:15. 21036 +---+ |Filename: Capture.JPG | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=21036| +---+ Wigster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14899 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106060 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control is now available as a UWP app for Windows 10.
Looks nice! I will play around with it and come up with some comments. For the moment, I have a few ideas that would make my life easier. * there should be a way to clear the whole playlist for a player instead of track by track * a simpler way to sync/desync players in the player menu rather than goon through the LMS menus * ability to surface submenus in the server main menu and rearrange them independently of the LMS. For example I would like to be able to access my BBC Radio Live Non-UK right on the main menu or using some shortcut button * a playlist/cover/menu screen for Windows that are wide enough (eg my 4K screen) But looking great! I've also now tried skipping around from LMS and that works too. Pause works, but unpause does not. I guess pausing kills the stream and frees the Squeezebox? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: ShairTunes2 plugin - Airtunes on your LMS
And I've just rebooted my server and it seems to the .34 update has come down. This now works, so I guess you decided to allow Squeezelite players. Thank you very much. :) I have an iOS 9.3.5 iPhone as a source and it seems that everything basically works: * you can switch players, synch and desync them. * Metadata seems to be transmitted (title, artist), although I don't see any album covers. I've only tried with Mixcloud and BBC iPlayer streams, and Spotify, so I am not sure if those actually contain covers. * The UPnP-bridged player does not appear (I guess by design), but you can actually add it to the sync group and then it also plays. Genius. I can finally retire my ancient Airport whose only function was to serve as a Airtunes target. Thank you!! I'm getting a warning from ShairTunes repeated in the log while the stream is running: Code: PLAYER_MESSAGE_END [16-08-29 14:14:05.4427] Slim::Utils::Misc::msg (1244) Warning: [14:14:05.4423] Use of uninitialized value in string eq at C:\ProgramData\Squeezebox\Cache\InstalledPlugins/Plugins/ShairTunes2/Plugin.pm line 75. For that I would very much like to have the Squeezelite players work. Here are some musings of someone who has no idea how the API works, so I don't know if any of the below is feasible: I have two Squeezelite players and one fake device through your UPnP bridge. Looking at the player info, the Squeezelite players supply a firmware version which your UPnP bridge device does not. A simplest thing you could maybe filter out all those Squeezelite players which don't supply a firmware version and allow the ShairTunes plugin to create players on the real Squeezelite players. As a kind of more complicated upgrade, maybe your plugins could provide a fake firmware version telling you what the original player was, i.e. say "UPnP" or "Airplay" or "Chromecast" and then you'd know where to break the chain. Then you could create Airplay devices for all the UPnPs and Chromecasts but stop the recursion. As a third option (maybe easier to manage), maybe you could give the user an option of specifying a string in the Player name which would mean that a ShairTunes player is requested. Say if the player has a name ending in "+AP", then ShairTunes will try to create a speaker from it (and the Airplay bridge would ignore it). I guess this would depend on users having the updated version of the Airport bridge plugin and you might run into some issues with those who don't upgrade. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: ShairTunes2 plugin - Airtunes on your LMS
Hi Philippe_44, To recap: ver 0.33dev3 on LMS 7.9.0, Perl 5.14.1 on Windows Server 2012R2. Players don't appear. OK I have reset the logging prefs of LMS and now there seems to be something in there. Please see attached server log: LMS seems to launch the helper and try to create two players but the players don't appear. The helper exe never appears in Task Manager. I've use a zeroconf browser to see if it's just the iPhone, but there are no ShairTunes players under Remote Audio Output Protocol (just my old Airport). I normally run my LMS as a service through a restricted user. Just in case it's some permissions issue, I've tried with an admin and a system account (whatever that is) and nothing changed. +---+ |Filename: server.log | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=20980| +---+ Wigster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14899 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103783 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Hi Philippe_44! Thanks very much for taking this Windows version on. However, it doesn't work here. My setup is: LMS 7.9.0 on WS2012R2. Plugin installs ok (v0.32dev2). I have three players (2 Squeezelite RPis and 1 UPnP Medion Radio connected to LMS through your UPnP bridge plugin). I have allowed the helper app through the firewall on all ports and also tried disabling the firewall completely, but this doesn't help. The SBs do not appear in the list of speakers on Apple devices. Looking at the server, the helper app is not running and appears to never even start when I restart LMS. There are no entries in the LMS logs even though I have debug-level logging for ShairTunes enabled. When I try to launch the helper .exe directly, I get the error that LIBEAY32.dll is missing so the helper cannot start. Do I have some missing dependency? Hi, I've just removed triode's old plugin, which I've been using together with the official Spotify plugin successfully, and have replaced it with the stripped down Protocol Handler (so now I have Protocol Handler + Official Spotify + Spotify App in mysqueezebox.com). I get the Spotify menu listings as they should be and can choose a track, which pretends to play, but there is no sound coming out of my (Squeezelite) Squeezeboxes. What have I broken? The spotifyd.log contains the following below. I tried playing three tracks from the Spotify menu. I've tried resetting the App in MySqueezebox to no avail. Any ideas what I could have broken? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Mixcloud plugin?
Hi, I've just managed to clear the v. old version of the Mixcloud plugin and have finally managed to download your update. It's great, thank you! I'm wondering whether there is any possibility of adding support for skipping within the track? Right now when I click within the progress bar, it advances but the audio stops and does not play anymore, despite the advancing counter. Thanks you! My LMS is on a Windows server and this would severely simplify my SB/AirTunes integration. As a halfway house, maybe letting the helper run on an RPi (for example picoreplayer) which is on the same network as a Windows-based LMS with a plugin would be simpler and would be good enough for me at least! I was wondering whether it would be possible to run the helper app on a RaspberryPi I use as a Squeezebox but continue to run the server on Windows. Did you have to move the whole LMS installation to the Linux virtual machine? If not, then how does the plugin know how to find the helper? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Hi Philippe, Just wanted to note that your plugin automagically added my Rasplex Rpi player as a Squeezelite device and even exploits Rasplex's DLNA now playing screen. It was all so automagical that I hadn't actually realised this happened and I was sure that I had squeezelite installed on the Rasplex. I've spent a few hours trying to understand why I can't locate it on the disk. I'm actually not sure whether I will actually now even bother installing Squeezelite. :-) Wigster's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14899 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103728 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: ShairTunes2 plugin - Airtunes on your LMS
Hi, I am running my LMS on a Windows machine, but I have a few Squeezelite-based Raspberry Pi players. Is there any way of running the helper app of the plugin on the RPi and continue running LMS on a different machine on the same network? Thanks! There are some issues with finding it on the network sometimes, but it mostly works with the default settings for the first track played. However, there is an issue where it doesn't advance the playlist at the end of the first track: the Medion player just says buffering and remain quiet. LMS thinks that the next track is playing as it should. I have 4 Ethernet connectors on the motherboard and only one is connected... I put in the correct IP and it works, just like that. Brilliant! The only thing that doesn't seem to work is Spotify. Is it possible to make it work or it's some sort of restriction? I'm running the new Logitech plugin together with Triode's old one to allow my Squeezelite box to use Spotify. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: UPnPBridge = integrate UPnP/DLNA players with LMS (squeeze2upnp)
Hi, I have LMS 7.9 running on a Windows Server 2012R2. I have a Medion internet radio which is happily able to play DLNA served files from the LMS library shared out to DLNA through the standard UPNP plugin, both if I request them from the Medion or use a separate controller (e.g. my Windows laptop). I've just installed your UPNP Bridge plugin (2.7.2) and I cannot get it to see the Medion. I first run with an exception for the squeeze2upnp-win.exe in the firewall and then even tried switching off the firewall completely. To make sure it's not the Medion, I also run the Foobar2000 media player on my laptop switching on its UPNP renderer. Neither of them seem detected. I'm attaching the logfile. There doesn't seem to be anything jumping out at me here, except the IP address: Code: [10:32:42.989] uPNPInitialize:1084 uPNP init success - 169.254.190.177:49156 This is not the IP range of my network: it should be 192.168.0.xxx. Is this normal? Any suggestion as to what to try would be great!
