Thank you. I have been using mp3tag. It certainly makes it easier. I always ensure my new additions are correctly tagged but I need to go back through the 200+ albums I have and make it consistent. The worst culprits are the compilation albums! This discussion had prompted me to start the process!!! ---- humax99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69035 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I have been caught out with that before! I find it easier to check the track numbering than it is to correct the metadata. My library needs a good sort out of the metadata to align all the inconsistent punctuations, artist name formats, etc. This is the main reason I use Music Folder browsing as I have at least been careful to organise all the folders. ---- humax99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69035 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

All the music titles I have seen normally include the track number (mostly at the start or after common text) in the title so the natural order of the album is presented in a file browser and, therefore, would correspond to the correct track order. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Apologies if this has been covered before. Would it be possible to add an extra item to the album track kebab drop down menu for 'Play from here'. This would allow an album to be played from the selected track onwards? e.g. you wish to play from track 5 to the end of the album so tracks 5 to are added to the queue. I realise you can manually append all the individual tracks to the playlist but this requires multiple key presses. Thanks for this brilliant plugin! I also have a playback issue with FLAC albums. The tracks play fine and then after a few minutes the sound stops, the track is still counting down in the timeline bar on the controller and then after 3-4 secs the sound starts again. This pattern repeats throughout the album. There does not appear to be any fixed time between playback mutes. Hi, I am pleased to see you can pin the 'My Sounds' menu option to the Home screen. However, when this is done and you click on it, the options provided are for playing media (i.e. play now, play next, etc.) which is inappropriate as it should take you to the next My Sounds sub-menu. Hi, I see the latest LMS Nightly (e.g. logitechmediaserver_8.3.0~1642113126) has added British English translations. This is working fine on the normal LMS interface and the Material *app* but the translation for 'Favorites' to UK English 'Favourites' is not showing in the Home menu of the Material browser version (e.g. xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:9000/Material/?layout=desktop). I have checked on various devices and cleared cache, etc. There may be other UK English words that are wrong but this one stands out. It is also wrong in the Material Interface Settings menu for the Home screen item selection. Could you please check. Many thanks. I am going to try and work our way around the bookmarks and subscriptions. As already mentioned, I also like that previous searches are stored so that is another way to keep regular items and it does not need referring back to the BBC Sounds app or webpage to set anything. My apologies. You are of course correct. I managed to click on two old subscriptions which happen to have only one episode showing! I have checked others and that works as you described. One of the issues we have is that each user has their own favourite programmes/bookmarks/subscriptions but you can only have one BBC Sounds account on the server plugin. This can result in a large list of subscriptions, etc. Would it be possible to have a way to filter/group subscriptions for different users/devices? I appreciate this probably is not feasible as each bookmark and subscription has to be set up on a single BBC Sounds account. Subscriptions only show the latest episode for each programme. Thanks. Yes, I have tried this but when you subscribe you end up with a very long list of programmes all mixed up in date order. So it does not look any different to the browse list after a while! I cannot get on with BBC's own Sounds app for listening to different editions of a favourite programme. That would be helpful. The lists can be very long. For example, the 'All Science & Technology' category currently has 226 items! Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
I have noticed an issue with the Music Folder view in the app of my music library when folder names have certain characters. There are missing Letters in the Numeric/Alphabetic quick navigation side bar. The same library in a browser view is different. I noticed the issue when looking for Kate Bush - the K was missing in the app Music Folder view. The issue appears to be caused by three of my folder names starting with the # symbol (# Jo and KT, #NEW, #Test). I did this to bring some of the folders to the top when managing the library in MS Windows File Explorer. However, there is a difference between how the app displays the quick navigation letters vs the browser view. Another effect is that the letters either side of a # are duplicated in both the app and browser view with slight differences. Renaming the # folders prevents both issues, so I can easily fix it, but thought you may want to aware in case it can cause other problems. APK version: 0.1.4 Screen shots below: APK VIEW - example K missing from quick navigation list. J and T duplicated. 33366 BROWSER VIEW - same view and the K is present. J, N and T duplicated. 33367 Thanks! +---+ |Filename: Browser scrshot list.png | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=33367| +---+ humax99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69035 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109624 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Unusual for an interface not to have a direct Power button in this day and age. Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: Material Skin
Thank you for a great plugin and APK. Would it be possible to add a Power button for the currently selected player on the main screen? Currently, as far as I can see, you have to use the available players drop down list and then tap the power icon adjacent to the current player. It would be easier if a Power button icon could be added to the main screen (including on the APK). Maybe to the right hand side of the name of the currently selected player situated at the top right of the header bar. Thanks again for the excellent work. Will now test the CC player with this value. The LMS setting for 'Radio station buffer seconds' is now at maximum (30 secs) and yesterday I had no issues on other players with the RP app FLAC streams. But I am still not sure how relevant that setting is for the RP app? ---- humax99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69035 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108189 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

The streambuf is a squeewelite parameter I have various playback devices including VB player, Logitech SqueezeBox Receiver, Chromecast based equipment using the Chromecast Bridge app. They all behave the same and stutter. ---- humax99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69035 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108189 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I'm in California. Yes, that's interesting. I remember now I had the same issues with the FLAC stream last week and that's why I reverted back to the AAC URL stream I always used to use. Thats been fine for over 9 hours listening today. http://stream-uk1.radioparadise.com/aac-320 Perhaps there is a bandwidth problem at RP HQ? ---- humax99's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=69035 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=108189 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Also UK based and the afternoons are worse. Last 2 days it does not last more than 20 minutes before it starts stuttering. Main URL AAC stream is fine. Does anyone know the cause? Is the problem unique to the LMS app? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Announce: CastBridge = integrate Chromecast players with LMS (squeeze2cast)
Thanks for the reply/ The only sub directory in Plugins was 'PlayDSD'. I have deleted that anyway but was not related to CastBridge. Can not find any files now relating to CastBridge other than the .prefs file. Stuck in a loop now where CastBridge will not install. Is there a way of manually installing an older version. I am running LMS 7.9.1 on a Vortexbox which is Fedora release 23.
