Here are the screenshots. Fist, please not that after the reinstall, there is no title, artist or album text on Now Playing. Also the mentioned text is still really small...smaller than it used to be. This is a 7" tablet and the text is much smaller than you see here on playlists, now plaing options, etc. 28889 28890 28891 +---+ |Filename: 2020-01-01 21.21.56.jpg | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=28891| +---+ jstraw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17008 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96757 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Suddenly, a couple of days into my new Pixel 3XL and less than a day after uprading to Android 10, Squeeze Ctrl and/or SB Player has ceased working properly. This may be to do with Android 9 (Pie). I can't find an equalizer app that will function with SBPlayer/Squeeze Ctrl. I think it's because they're all designed to only work with apps that "start an audio session". I don't know what that actually means. Do your apps not do this, and is this solvable? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android
I'd like to describe a behavior that I can't seem to configure my way out of. I launch Squeeze Ctrl and the appropriate meta data appears on my car's display. I can numerous tracks and the data updates as expected. If I use the display or the steering wheel controls to skip a track, it works just once. It advances, the subsequent track (and following tracks) will not display meta data, and I can't advance tracks anymore after that first time. If I then go into SB Player and disconnect and reconnect, the music will stop and then resume as expected. When I reopen Squeeze Ctrl, the new meta data displays, but the whole cycle starts over. I can use the car's controls once, then no more. Is there some configuration for docking/launching that I don't have right? Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Synology 7.9.2 packages
I just set this up and it's sort of working and sort of not. I have the server installed and running with a whopping 19 track library. I have it forwarding ports through my VPN service and I have a dyndns hostname working with it. I can access the UI from the local network IP, the VPN IP or the hostname. I have Squeezeplayer and Orange Squeeze installed on my tablet and I can use any controller or browser to play music to the tablet which has been configured in Orange Squeeze to use the new library with the hostname and port number. Here's the weird part. I can't mount any other player to the new library. I added it on my phone and the phone doesn't see itself as a player...though the phone can control playback on the tablet. Squeezeplay on the laptop won't work either. I haven't tried my Touch, SB Radio or Raspberry Pi players yet. [SlimDevices: Plugins] LMS Artwork Configuration...would a plugin be *possible*?
OK, before I ask my question...I *know*..."fix your tags." I'm not fixing my tags. If that bothers you to the point of lecturing me, please consider ignoring this thread entirely. Would it be possible to write a plugin that takes control over artwork handling by LMS? Ideally it would be user configurable. I'd like it to allow me to enforce rules. My rules would be as follows, someone else' might be different. - If a track has embedded art, default to this. If not, then: - Default folder art. If not, then: - Default to folder art a level up, or a level up, or... - If no folder art is found all the way to the top level, use placeholder art. - NEVER guess. Ideally, the plugin would let me provide a top-level placeholder of my own. My question is such a plugin *possible*? jstraw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17008 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=109797 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android
I now strongly suspect that this issue relates to my carrier's rollout of Android 8.0 to my phone, which eliminated AVRCP 1.3and default to AVRCP 1.4. I further believe that Andrid 8.1 restores AVRCP 1.3 to Developer Options. I don't know when or if my phone will get Android 8.1. It would be useful to confirm Bluetooth Controls are working properly for devices running AVRCP 1.3, and not working properly for devices which are not. I can, and probably will check AVRCP 1.5 and AVRCP 1.6. jstraw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17008 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=96757 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

Re: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Annouce: Squeeze Control, a squeezebox remote app, is now available for Android
Great, thanks for the help. I'm really liking the way this app functions. I have a question that's sort of peripheral. Do you have any insight into what determines how an app such as this interacts with a car's infotainment system? Most audio apps on my phone function properly, inasmuch as artist, title and album metadata display on the car's display and the car's controls will pause and skip tracks. In the past this included the LMS controller app I've been using, although 'artist' data never did. Some time ago it all stopped interacting. Only Bluetooth audio going from the phone to the car functions. I'd been hoping that Squeeze Ctrl would successfully restore this functionality but it doesn't seem to. Nothing to do with the car's firmware had changed. The phone hasn't experienced a major Android version upgrade. I'm about to order a DS416Play. I've been running LMS on desktop machines for many years. Finding this thread is good, but 15 pages is daunting. The larger display and reduced dashboard clutter don't offer me enough incentive to use Android Auto. My needs will still best be served by having my phone in a dash mount, connected via Bluetooth. I wish OEM head units would just function like an Android tablet and only rely on the mobile device for a data connection. jstraw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17008 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=106825 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I find that I need this plugin as well. I've done as described but on my settings>plugins tab I see "Plugin failed to load." It's reading something to know the plugin is there, who authored it and what it's called, so I don't think the path is wrong. FYI it's in c:/Program Files/Squeezebox/server/Plugins/Playlistman 6.1/Playlistman Is that where the files should be? Thanks for the reply. My interest is in accessing files of my own, that I've favorited and added to a playlist as part of my own workflow. Once I've used LMS to earmark a set of files for use, I need to have copies of those files in another location. I'm doing that one file at a time, as described above. Tanscoding isn't necessary and I've got control over what's in the playlist and they're all local files. I've never used the CLI for LMS. Do you know if there's a tutorial somewhere? jstraw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17008 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103879 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins

I'm at a computer with LMS open in a browser. I have a playlist loaded. I can select each track one at a time in the right hand frame, click on the "more" icon, then click on the file link in the left hand frame, then select "save" in the pop-up. Each file can be saved to the browser's download directory. Rather than three mouse-clicks for each file, I'm interested in a plugin that will automate the process of downloading all of the files in the playlist. jstraw's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=17008 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=103879 ___ plugins mailing list plugins@lists.slimdevices.com http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
