Re: Shanghai

2005-01-19 Thread Stewart Skardon
Hi Aley (and everyone else),

If this was on a tape file, it's probably the version of Shanghai that was
given away on a Your Sinclair cover tape with issue 84, where the game was
credited to Franxoft on the cover tape pages.
I think they probably changed the name to avoid offence.Simon Cooke was
writing for Your Sinclair at the time, so perhaps he may be able to confirm
this. Who knows, they may have got Simon to make the change!

Best regards,

Stewart

It should be back up now. Look out for a long overdue site update very soon.

Yes - 4 to be precise. (2 in the loft and 2 in my room)

Three function perfectly, and one has a dodgy TV output.

Erm, not at the moment. I simply don't have much free time at the
moment.

>4) How many bits of sam software have you got?
Not sure of exact amounts, but I have a huge chest full of stuff, and I
seem to recall purchasing every FRED title available (I'm sure Colin M will
back me up if he's reading!)

Not really.

Obviously, it would depend what genre of game it was.

I honestly don't think I would be willing to pay more than ?15.00.

If I could program a SAM in a professional manner then yes, but I've
always
been more of a publications person!

>9) Would you help develop a title for the sam?
If someone could find a use for me, yes I think I would.

No, as there are plenty of people out there who still email me via my

managed to get a few people interested again.

Hi all

I reckon everyone should get together and start to support the SAM even
though they finished 10 years ago, retro gaming is becoming a big thing and
with emulation any one can write for any machine using their PC.

I've decided to switch my attention to writing for the SAM for a while and i
may even get a web-site up and running but i will let you all know when i
do.

Has anyone got a copy of 'FLASH' in SAD format as my copy has become corrupt
considering it is 10 years old, if so can you e-mail it to me or tell me
where i can find it .

Keep me informed if anyone has ideas of old games they would like to see as
im always looking for ideas.

Thanks

While I'm here, can anyone tell me if they have heard any news about SAM

2001-04-07 Thread Stewart Skardon
Hello everyone.

Long time no speak.

Just been mucking around with my SAM for the first time in ages, and I was
just thinking about the Atom.

Can anyone answer some questions for me:

1) How much is an Atom interface, and where can I get one?

2) How easy is it to install?

Also, while I think of it, can anyone tell me what the current copyright
status is on many of the SAMs games, as I would like to try and contacting
individuals about including some of them on my website.

Thanks in advance,
