May I ask you - do you use some sort of mask or towel or something to stop

How long do you keep the flow on for? Until the receptacle is empty, or
until you feel uncomfortable, or for just two or six or ten breaths?

Re: CSSodium Bicarb for starter

2005-10-03 Thread Marshall Dudley
The trick to extreme dilution is to do it in multiple steps, not all at once.
For instance, put a 1/8 teaspoon into 8 oz of water, then use an eye dropper to
put one or two drops into another 8 oz of water. Then you can use a few drops
from that second one to give you extremely low amounts of dilution, or if it is
too dilute, go back and use a few drops from the first one. That will give you a
repeatable dilution, after you find the correct number of drops, keep the second
8 oz for later.

Ode Coyote wrote:

That small amount is about the same as, or more than, the small amount of

It's amazing how hard it is to not put too much bicarb in the water...the
tiniest little fleck on the end of a toothpick in a quart of water raises
the conductivity by 5 or 6 uS where current starts flowing stronger than
 you'd really want it to.

  Hello:

Is there anything to be really concerned about in adding Sodium Bicarb to
Distilled water in small amounts, say to increase PPM to 5 before
starting the electrolytic process for CS? I had been using 25% CS ( 1000
ml Starter plus 3000 ml Distilled) from the previous batches but have
found that starting with 5 ppm Sodium Bicarb greatly speeds the process up
and the CS that comes out is clear and tastes like good CS and it works.

Lea Ann, As I mentioned regarding my use of CS, I take it daily on an empty

my system on guard much better than waiting to get infected and then deal
with it. Of course I would still use a nebulizer to get to the lungs if a
virus ever did get that far.

I've been taking it daily for about 7 years now and that's my recommendation
to any and all who ask about using it for preventative purposes. As you
know, kids are mobile contamination units and what goes around is usually
carried around by them. I also let people with kids know that the ounce of
daily prevention is always worth more than the pound of cure they face
later.

I am interested to hear what others on this list think about CS's
effectiveness in surviving a Flue Pandemic.

I continue to make and administer CS for myself and my family but have
become a little discouraged recently when all 3 of my boys have had to
resort to medications in order to defeat whatever this broncitis virus or
mycoplasma bacterial broncitis thing is that has attacked them.

Broncial assaults often if not usually require nebulizing the CS. Did you
nebulize it?

I had to take Dean (age 7) to the ER about two weeks ago. His Xrays showed
diffuse infiltrates that were abnormal to the Dr. I talked the Dr. out of
antibiotics in the ER, but by the next afternoon gladly had the doctor give
him a shot of rocephin because he had reached the point where he couldn't
even walk to the bathroom without assistance he was so weak. He had been
fighting the illness for a week and a half.

Wow, that stuff is expensive, I remember paying almost $5,000 for a few shots of
rocephin.

Then, about a week ago Austin (age 9) and Luke (age 3) came down with the
same symptoms and Austin who has a history of reactive airway disease
(which is when a kid has Asthma only as a result of an illness) had to be
taken to the ER because he was having an asthma attack that albuterol
breathing treatments were not helping at all. He had the same infiltrates
in his lungs. They almost admitted him but 2 hours after a shot of steroids
and 3 breathing treatments his oxegyn saturation levels finally came back
 up.

If you pure oxygen with the nebulizing, IE using Brooks nebulizer design with an
oxygen bottle, that helps tremendously. In fact I have never heard of it now
working for this type of assault.

Marshall

Luke was also getting worse until I relented and put him on antibiotics.

It is just so discouraging that I try and try to treat with CS but
antbiotics clear up the problem often within hours. And it wasn't only
CS... I tried hourly doses of Vit C, garlic, zinc, echinacea and goldenseal.

When I read articles like this one on avian flu and think of a pandemic I
see a picture of me trying again to treat with CS and it not working and
 it's a scary picture.

 Any thoughts?

For how long do you inhale it? My DH has come down with some chest thing

Should one try to get all that mist into the lungs, or just what chances to
drift by, or cover head with towel so none escapes, or use some sort of

It was Lita who mentioned the idea of homeopathically 'vaccinating'

resort to medications in order to defeat whatever this broncitis virus or
mycoplasma bacterial broncitis thing is that has attacked them.

Hi Debbie,

It's not a precise science. For specific things we dose for effect.
Take enough to either improve the condition or the Herx effect gets too
uncomfortable...

As a preventative, I'll take a mouthful every day or two as I think
about it. Swish it around and swallow. (Don't swig from the bottle, but
pour it into your mouth (or a glass!))

A rinse with CS afterwards is a good thing to add to your tooth

Folks doing that report going many months or years without catching
anything, so it can be worth doing.

Re: CSQuestion - Distemper Raccoons

2005-10-03 Thread sol

Here is the whole colloidal silver article from the newsletter:
Errr, I thought silver particles have no charge? Which is why they do
not register on a conductance meter such as PWT, or TDS?
Since CS kills anerobes as well as aerobic bacteria, the below info
about smothering the bad guys gives the impression that CS cannot kill
beneficial bacteria, which is simply untrue, and could be dangerous if
people believe it. Could be particularly dangerous for rabbits, as if
one gave a rabbit the dose of CS I give my cats (half their drinking
water is CS) it would very likely kill the rabbit, just as oral
penicillin, clindamycin, etc kill rabbits when given orally.

Good thing it later says only put 1 tsp to 1 TBS in a pet's water!

Another piece of mis-information states that CS circulates in the for
a week or two??? Though a small study of one person, I thought the
Altman study pretty much showed CS goes through in a day or two, not weeks?

Also states silver accumulates in tissues in 3 or 4 daysI thought
this was also not the case? If CS is indeed excreted as per the Atlman
study isn't this also mis-information?

Isn't the statement that CS forms no toxic compounds also wrong? Some
silver compounds are toxic, I believe. Whether those form in the body,
if only pure ionic/particulate CS is ingested is another issue. I am
speaking of the statement as a flat statement that no silver compound is
toxic at all.

All in all I have to give this a big thumbs down. Too inaccurate, too
sloppy, and could be dangerously misleading to someone who knows nothing
about CS, and for a rabbit newsletter to publish something containing
inaccuracies that could lead easily to rabbit deaths through careless
oral use is just awful. Had the info been directed solely to humans,
dogs, cats, I'd still have a lot of trouble with the inaccuracies as I
see them.

How Does Colloidal Silver Work?

The silver particles in colloidal silver contain a positive charge and
are attracted to virus, fungi, bacterium and other single celled
pathogens (disease causing organisms). When the silver particles attach
themselves to these pathogens, they disable the pathogens' oxygen
Metabolism enzyme. In other words, they suffocate and kill the bad guys.
They don't have a chance to develop resistant strains. Once the bad guy
is dead, the silver particle releases its' bond and searches for a new
Pathogen to attach to. The dead pathogens are then cleared out of the
body by the immune, lymphatic and elimination systems. Unlike
pharmaceutical antibiotics which destroy beneficial enzymes (good guys),
colloidal silver leaves these tissue cell enzymes intact. This makes
colloidal silver absolutely safe for humans, animals, reptiles, plants
and all multi-celled living matter.

Taken orally, colloidal silver is absorbed from the mouth into the
bloodstream, then travels quickly to the body cells. For faster
absorption, swish colloidal silver under your tongue for a few seconds,
before swallowing. In 3 or 4 days the silver will have accumulated in
the tissues enough for benefits to begin.

after ingesting colloidal silver, it circulates in the body for about a
week or two before being eliminated by the kidneys, lymph system and
bowel. A regular daily intake of colloidal silver is recommended to
protect the body against dangerous pathogens.

Colloidal silver is painless on cuts, abrasions, burns, in open wounds
in the nostrils for a stuffy nose, and even in a baby's eyes because,
unlike antiseptics, it does not destroy tissue cells. It is impossible
for single-celled organisms to mutate into silver -resistant forms, as
happens with conventional antibiotics. Therefore, no tolerance to
colloidal silver ever develops. Colloidal silver will not interact or
interfere with other medications. Inside the body, silver forms no toxic
compounds, nor reacts with anything other than a germ's oxygen
metabolizing enzyme.

Suggested dosages - all are adjustable.

People

infants 0-1 yr. 1/4 tsp. - 1/4 Tbs..

children 1-7 yrs 1/2 tsp. - 1/2 Tbs..

adults 7+ yrs. 1 tsp. - 1 Tbs.

Re: CSlung problems from herbacides and cs causing yeast

I have wondered about that too. Time kill studies shown on
www.silvermedicine.org show CS killing candida in about the same time
period as it kills bacteria, and with similar efficiency. And I never
had any trouble myself until I upped my daily intake to around a quart.
Then I did start to have some yeast overgrowth symptoms. Makes you
wonder if in a living body CS tends to be able to kill bacteria faster
than it kills the candida, thus leading to some overgrowth, maybe if
only temporarily? CS applied directly to the area experiencing the yeast
symptoms stopped them nearly immediately, for me, so I do believe CS can
and does kill the yeast just fine. Or maybe my own symptoms were from
something else. Not totally certain.

Errr, I thought silver particles have no charge? Which is why they do
not register on a conductance meter such as PWT, or TDS?
Since CS kills anerobes as well as aerobic bacteria, the below info
about smothering the bad guys gives the impression that CS cannot
kill beneficial bacteria, which is simply untrue, and could be
dangerous if people believe it. Could be particularly dangerous for
rabbits, as if one gave a rabbit the dose of CS I give my cats (half
their drinking water is CS) it would very likely kill the rabbit, just
as oral penicillin, clindamycin, etc kill rabbits when given orally.

Good thing it later says only put 1 tsp to 1 TBS in a pet's water!

Another piece of mis-information states that CS circulates in the
for a week or two??? Though a small study of one person, I thought
the Altman study pretty much showed CS goes through in a day or two,
not weeks?

Also states silver accumulates in tissues in 3 or 4 daysI thought
this was also not the case? If CS is indeed excreted as per the Atlman
study isn't this also mis-information?

Isn't the statement that CS forms no toxic compounds also wrong? Some
silver compounds are toxic, I believe. Whether those form in the body,
if only pure ionic/particulate CS is ingested is another issue. I am
speaking of the statement as a flat statement that no silver compound
is toxic at all.

All in all I have to give this a big thumbs down. Too inaccurate, too
sloppy, and could be dangerously misleading to someone who knows
nothing about CS, and for a rabbit newsletter to publish something
containing inaccuracies that could lead easily to rabbit deaths
through careless oral use is just awful. Had the info been directed
solely to humans, dogs, cats, I'd still have a lot of trouble with the
inaccuracies as I see them.

This is the article:

How Does Colloidal Silver Work?

The silver particles in colloidal silver contain a positive charge and
are attracted to virus, fungi, bacterium and other single celled
pathogens (disease causing organisms). When the silver particles
attach themselves to these pathogens, they disable the pathogens'
oxygen Metabolism enzyme. In other words, they suffocate and kill the
bad guys. They don't have a chance to develop resistant strains. Once
the bad guy is dead, the silver particle releases its' bond and
searches for a new Pathogen to attach to. The dead pathogens are then
cleared out of the body by the immune, lymphatic and elimination
systems. Unlike pharmaceutical antibiotics which destroy beneficial
enzymes (good guys), colloidal silver leaves these tissue cell enzymes
intact. This makes colloidal silver absolutely safe for humans,
animals, reptiles, plants and all multi-celled living matter.

Taken orally, colloidal silver is absorbed from the mouth into the
bloodstream, then travels quickly to the body cells. For faster
absorption, swish colloidal silver under your tongue for a few
seconds, before swallowing. In 3 or 4 days the silver will have
accumulated in the tissues enough for benefits to begin.

after ingesting colloidal silver, it circulates in the body for about
a week or two before being eliminated by the kidneys, lymph system and

Inside the body, silver forms no
toxic compounds, nor reacts with anything other than a germ's oxygen
metabolizing enzyme.

Suggested dosages - all are adjustable.

People

infants 0-1 yr. 1/4 tsp. - 1/4 Tbs..

children 1-7 yrs 1/2 tsp. - 1/2 Tbs..

adults 7+ yrs. 1 tsp. - 1 Tbs.

cuts and abrasions - After thorough cleaning, apply gauze soaked with
colloidal silver. Re-soak or change dressing three times a day or as
needed or just spray wound three to six times a day.

Tooth care - put a few drops on your tooth brush every brushing
without toothpaste and swish around in mouth for 30 sec. then spit out.

External use - eczema, fungus, rashes, athletes foot, warts,
arthritis, bursitis , acne, boils, etc.

If taken by itself, certainly, as is any silver compound that has a high
solubility. It has two things that make it so when produced chemically.
First it can be made in high concentrations, and second, there is no
prophylactic colloidal component to prevent it. Of course when adding
citric acid to EIS, neither of those are true.

Re: CSOrthodontia question...

2005-10-03 Thread Hannah
These days most parents are suggested braces for at least one of
their children. Unless there is an obvious and plausible reason to
put them thru that period of having to wear braces (and you as a
parent having to fork out a fortune), it is worth asking for a second
opinion, perhaps even a third.
My eldest daughter had real buck teeth due to thumb sucking as a
child as well as carrying extra teeth behind the visible teeth which
pushed the front teeth even more forward, there just wasn't enough
room . She also became selfconscious about her appearance and
started holding her hand over her mouth.

There were obvious reasons to go ahead with braces for her.

My youngest daughter had a gap between her front teeth... it was
never suggested for her and guess what... the gap closed up when she
grew older. Her little daughter, a spitting image in every way of
her mum, is sporting a similar gap ... (The gap is actually giving a
rather cheeky expression to her face and appearance as it did with my
daughter). And I agree with William's wifelol... rather like
that explanation.

I have a huge diastema (gap) in my front teeth too, and guess what? It
is hereditary! My dad had it, and all 4 of my kids did, too. Well, the
kids all had what`s called a frenectomy done at age 8, after the front
teeth had grown in, but just before the two teeth on either side had
grown in. It was a cut in the muscle that runs above the top teeth. With
the easing of the tension in that muscle, as the side teeth grew in,
they forced the diastema closed. All 4 have perfect teeth now as adults.

Sorry this knowledge is too late, but maybe it will help someone else.
Too darn bad your dentist didn`t know about it.

The trick to extreme dilution is to do it in multiple steps, not all at
once.
For instance, put a 1/8 teaspoon into 8 oz of water, then use an eye dropper
to
put one or two drops into another 8 oz of water. Then you can use a few
drops
from that second one to give you extremely low amounts of dilution, or if it
is
too dilute, go back and use a few drops from the first one. That will give
you a
repeatable dilution, after you find the correct number of drops, keep the
second
8 oz for later.

It's amazing how hard it is to not put too much bicarb in the water...the
tiniest little fleck on the end of a toothpick in a quart of water raises
the conductivity by 5 or 6 uS where current starts flowing stronger than
 you'd really want it to.

not be able to obtain them (directly) from the homeopathic
manufacturers/labs. I was told this by a homeopathic laboratory so
probably true.

RE: CSOrthodontia question...

2005-10-03 Thread Theresa Widmer
Hi Mike--
My concern is the type of metals used in these appliances as I worry about
the chance of heavy metals getting into our kids' systems. (though I doubt
most of us parents with children having this hardware in their mouths have
much of a choice.) I haven't done much research into this, but I should, as
my son will be getting braces in a year or so. (He has headgear and
brackets at present.) I to find out what kind of metal is used, and if it
is known to give off vapors, I would like the chance to choose an
alternative, like I did with his fillings. They look at my like I've lost
my mind, but I face that with X-ray and fluoride issues. Of course,
anything not customary and ordinary insurance companies don't like to pay
for.
My contribution--
Theresa

Subject: CSOrthodontia question...

Hi folks,

I have the greatest of respect for you all and treasure you as a most
valuable resource. I beg your indulgence for a personal question that
is not particularly CS related:

My 15 year old daughter needs braces. At least, she has a gap between
her front teeth that needs closing. Of course we don't know what else
the orthodontist will imagine needs doing until we go in there.
roll eyes

May I pick your brains for anything you'd care to share with me about
this subject? Things to avoid and seek out? Hazards? Risks? Costs?
Resources and information?

Please educate me!

Thank you,

Mike D.
