Actually I have read an extremely convincing article, complete with

Re: CSUltrasonic Nebulizer question

2007-05-11 Thread mukta

Hi Daddybob, group,

I was trying to complete the Brooks Bradley airbrush set but
faced difficulties where I live. After some hesitation and
research these days I bought an Omron NE-28 pump-type
nebulizer. It claims 5 um particles, as do also some
ultrasonic units like Mystique.

It can be used with CS finely. In addition the protocol with
hot pepper (separately!) can help.

I wonder whether I can supply oxygen at the air intake but
suppose that it would deteriorate internal plastic and
rubber parts. Another option is to feed oxygen just before
the nebulizing chamber - not a big deal. This will increase
oxygen content in mixture with air. Wonder if it will
nebulize well then. Please offer ideas in this sense.

If anyone can direct me to a link showing ultrasonic
nebulizer internals and schematic diagram please do it.

Simeon

Re: CSPACE questions

2007-05-11 Thread M. G. Devour
Dear Shelli,

Thanks Mike. That does help. I'm still a little skeptical, only because
I've never had much luck with exercise. I either can't stick with it or
if I do stick with it, I don't get much result.

Understand the feeling. I'm not big on sticking with these things.

I suppose I tone up some but I've never lost weight with exercise and I
don't get the feel good feeling that some people do afterwards.

I get a sweat, and usually get rid of the stiffness and soreness I get
when I'm inactive. If I push too hard, there'll be a different kind of
soreness, but then I know to moderate a little.

I don't think these workouts are enough to trigger release of
endorphins, however. They're barely long enough to challenge my
attention span, let alone get into the zone. LOL

Anyway, enough whining. Do you feel like it is doing anything for your
 lung capacity or your heart?

Too soon to tell. I'll re-evaluate in another month before I make any
decision about whether it's working or not.

The way you build up muscle on this program, you're not likely to see
any weight loss until the increased metabolism finally burns off enough
fat to balance the muscle weight gain.

I'm considering getting a rebounder and using it with PACE. I just
don't want to be disappointed again and waste more money. Please keep
me updated, even if you'd like to email me privately since this is OT.
 Thanks! Shelli

Any exercise form that you find enjoyable (or at least tolerable) can
be adapted to the PACE format. Go with what you have or what you think
you'd like. If you do buy a good rebounder and don't like it, there're
always buyers who'll give you back most of what you paid for it.

I'll report again when I think I have anything worth telling.

Be well,

Mike D.

Dear Shelli,

The e-book keeps things pretty simple. All he suggests is that you
exercise up to a level that you can tell is slightly beyond your
ability to sustain for a long period. If, after an exertion interval
you are breathing heavily or panting, even a little bit, you've
exceeded your aerobic intensity level and have created an oxygen debt
that you must fill during the recovery period. That's all he requires.

The intensity level is entirely subjective and based on your present
fitness level. You learn to pace yourself to complete a one, two, or
three minute exertion period, with shorter exertion intervals being
more vigorous than longer ones.

I suspect that he has simplified the PACE concept based on experience
gained after the publication of the earlier book. The e-book is very
clear and approachable.

I hope that helps. I've been doing approximately every other day
workouts to ease into the program, and am now ready to try doing them
almost daily and see how I do. No big dramatic results yet, but I
wouldn't expect anything after just a couple of weeks. I, too, find the
short workouts very comfortable.

Hi Doris -

I guess you could consider me a healthworker, since I've been trained
by Children's Hospital to take care of a kid with a tracheostomy and
gastrostomy and have to keep things sterile. I use store-bought 3%
hydrogen peroxide to sterilize everything. I would imagine CS/EIS
would work, but you'd have to keep the instruments immersed in the CS
for 6 minutes, since that's how long it took in laboratory testing to
kill various germs with CS, from what I've read. In my opinion though,
probably peroxide (or alcohol?) would be best for metal instruments.

Hope this helps.

empirical testing on instruments after cleansing with CS/EIS?

CSdon't apologise dee

2007-05-11 Thread joe bloggs

Dee, if Janet wants to leave... that's her decision.

Please don't apologise or feel that you need to feel guilty. I see it as a
victory for what's right and good. In my opinion, you were right and Janet
came out with a load of stuff such as bathing in bleach that was so
dangerous. I'm glad that this is a forum that will allow freedom of
expression and freedom of opinion. There ain't that many forums allowing
this. Thanks Mike. Keep it real PLEASE!!

I wish to apologize to the list for carrying on such an emotive discussion
which
was so way OT for this list. I regret that Janet has decided to leave
because

of it, although I do think two topics (both OT) got a bit mixed up. Dee

2007-05-11 Thread joe bloggs
I've read this thread and there's no way that Dee should apologise to Janet.
Janet was just so arrogant and impolite, rude, whatever. She had a very
obnoxious attitude. She actually twisted Dees words while accusing Dee of
twisting her's. Not nice. And Dee needs support here.

Dee was polite the whole way through.

Janet wasn't.

Hi Kathryn -

May I ask why you think Dee owes Janet an apology? Janet said a couple
of things to Dee that seemed rude to me. Remember that tsk, tsk
statement, or her accusing Dee of twisting her words, twice, when she
didn't? I didn't think any of that was warranted.

RE: CS[List Owner] Dissention in the ranks!

2007-05-11 Thread Carlos Prez

Mike,

I am sure there are not many lists like this one. I find it a true privilege
to belong to it. I find the way we maintain off topic subjets out (or IN
with a grt elasticity, including yourself with your wise and
enlighting O.T. participations), makes this list a true live encyclopaedia
about any subject, specially health related (I am not so sure the MAIN topic
is EIS anymore...!). You hardly ever have to intervene in order to say
enough of that in the elegant way you know how to use.

Due to all this, we should watch ourselves in order to avoid getting
personal about any list members opinions, so we can to maintain it at the
highest level of human quality, which includes the normal altruistic
attitude of practically all members, including specialists on different
subjects, which abound here, always willing to share their knowledge and
experience with all of us.

I am sure the great majority of this list's members will always be backing
any any effort you make in order to keep it within appropiate limits,
includind our constant incurring into O.T., which we should do with
moderation imposed by ourselves.

Thank you, Mike for giving me the previlege to belong here.

Subject: CS[List Owner] Dissention in the ranks!

Greetings folks,

I must apologize. I've been running about a hundred posts behind for
the last several days, or I would have stepped in a bit sooner on the
raw feeding topics.

The number one mistake made by each of the participants in the
aggression was making remarks about the PERSON whose opinion you
disagree with, rather than the subject under discussion.

The debate was NEVER about:

Janet being blase, or naïve, or deceptive...
Dee twisting things, or her choice of tactics...
Getting other people to abandon their positions...
Nitpicking another's arguments for minor logic flaws...
Becoming so emotionally embroiled you can't disengage...

Remember this:

IF YOU DON'T WANT SOMEBODY TO TAKE IT PERSONALLY, DON'T MAKE IT
PERSONAL!!! (Capitalized for emphasis, not meaning to shout.)

As soon as you see yourself using the word you in an argument, back
off and look at it. Are you accusing the person of some flaw of morals,
character, intellect, or intention? The best thing is to delete the
entire sentence or paragraph and start over!

At several points people made attempts to defuse the situation. The
suggestion of agreeing to disagree is good! Everybody watching the
discussion got a big dose of the reasoning of both sides. So leave it
at that and let them make up their own minds!

Lastly, yes, these threads have certainly run their course and ought to
be retired now.

Again, I permit other health-related topics to be brought up and
discussed, but those that do not involve CS should *not* be allowed to
drag on for days and dominate the list discussion.

That has been happening, and I accept responsibility for letting it go
on for too long without intervening. It got so bad we even got Mary
yelling at us!! wink!

My excuse is being too busy and overwhelmed here to devote the time to
keeping up as I should have. Umm, what's yours?

So, let's not talk about animal feeding any more for a while, please?
And stop trying to win arguments. Everybody loses.

Thank you, all.

Be well,

Mike Devour
